  1. It was posted as in Instagram story. Those only last to be viewed for 24 hours. You really aren't missing much. He was in line, holding a stack of five different colored boxes. The people in line were socially distanced, so he had a man about five feet behind him. That stare he has in the screenshots is what he did for about 10 seconds. Didn't move an inch, just glared at her. She finally panned down to a sleeping Fern. When she panned up, he looked at her, then slowly turned his head around as if he was looking at others in the coffee shop. Then he looked forward again. No smiles at her. Just a very pissed look the whole time.
  2. I listened to Tom and Lorenzo's podcast after the first episode this season. To refresh myself, I listened again and took some notes because of your question. Indulge me as I put down some things they said (quoted as best as I could): Tom: It's been 581 days since we talked about this show on our podcast. 19 seasons is a long time. We have said so much about this show in so many ways. This episode was very boring. The formula is so locked in. But I'm happy that the show is still here. Lorenzo: I hate producers' manipulation. Fashion is about creativity. When you take away the most important process, the most interesting process, which is creativity, you end up with unfinished garments, ideas which are not presenting anything new. Tom: 18 previous winners, and only one, Christian Siriano, has achieved mainstream success. The others aren't losers - they work in their boutiques, or for other designers, or do custom-wear work. Tim Gunn told a story about how the producers went to all sorts of people in the fashion industry to find a mentor and asked them this question: "Do you think it is possible for a designer to make a wedding dress in two days?" All the people asked from the fashion industry said 'no'. Only Tim Gunn said 'yes'. But he didn't work in the industry and never has. Technically, a designer can execute a wedding dress in two days, but the result will be shit. Project Runway wants disasters because they are funnier to look at. This is 18 seasons of shit fashions. 75% of what is walked has been crap. And that is not the fault of the designers. The producers don't give a shit who wins and who doesn't or who becomes famous. They want great episodes. It is a major disservice to the fashion industry. Lorenzo: There are a ton of fashion designers out there. If you don't present people who present creativity, something unique and different, the fashion industry will just look at you as a fashion game show. Tom: If any designer came to us asking about going on Project Runway, we would tell them don't do it. When someone googles you in the future, all they will see is all the crap you produced on the show. Lorenzo: I like that this season is a very international show. I think Christian pushes back a lot more than Tim did in his last seasons. I can't stand Elaine. She always has an agenda. She has no technical expertise and only talks about how it makes her feel. Tom: Nina Garcia has always been incredibly kind to us. We will probably look in once or twice if there is something different with an episode, and will most likely take a look at the finale. We used to do 15 posts for each episode - 3 posts a day for five days a week. I have nothing but fond memories of the show.
  3. Even worse, it's actually 5 gift sets in his hands! Maybe they're for the staff at his church so he can stay in their good graces?
  4. Speaking of clothes that flatter big women, I loved Lizzo in the Gucci coat dress she wore recently in LA.
  5. I was really surprised Prajje's was one of the favorites. A mermaid silhouette is nothing innovative. The print was fine. What bugged me the most was seeing the white reverse of the fabric on the sleeves. He should have lined them with a blue fabric similar to the background of his print. Was so hoping one of the judges would tell Chasity (before the safe designers left the runway) that she was lucky she had immunity this week.
  6. I thought you must be exaggerating because why would she post something showing him like that. You weren't! He is just staring at her, until she moves her phone down to show Fern sleeping. She pans up again and he is still unsmiling.
  7. I've read through everyone's comments on this thread and I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 'poopy diaper' looks of Shantall's pink suit. I loved the design of her sleeves, with the checkered tone on tone effect, but when her model turned around on the runway, my mouth dropped at the terrible fit on the back of the pants. And because it can't be stated enough, Aaron was robbed of a win. Definitely production decided the drama was more important with the Bones/Darren top looks.
  8. There are only four categories listed for the retreat Breakout Sessions: Ministry Wives, Widows, Mothers, and Teens. So if you are an unmarried 20-something, or a childless married, you're nothing in her world. Also, she lists that there will be Vendors at the retreat. You know that is so she can hawk her pink drink garbage.
  9. Re: Fenna's coat. Malinois are double-coated. Fenna's undercoat will actually help her stay cooler in hot months. Sort of acts like a barrier to the skin so the heat is kept off her. My daughter has a husky, so we became very familiar with double-coated dogs. I once met a couple at the dog park who had a husky they traveled the states with. They shaved her when they were in Texas. I didn't have the heart to tell them they really hurt their dog's ability to regulate her temperature. Double-coated breeds 'blow out' twice a year and should never be shaved.
  10. The guy who posted on Reddit that ran in the same circles as the Duggars had something interesting to say about Anna's behavior after Josh got out of Jesus jail. He said that he was at Fort Rock Family Camp the same time that the Duggars were there, including Josh and Anna. Josh was jovial and joking. The guy posting said he went fishing early one morning at the pond. Anna was there, walking around and around the pond, sobbing. I think he said she circled the pond about fifteen times, crying the whole time. I don't know how she can keep sweet for the sake of her children. It must be exhausting.
  11. I just finished watching God is Grey's latest YT video, with Jen from Fundie Fridays as her guest. I was surprised that Brenda (God is Grey) didn't know very much about the Duggars. Jen had to bring her up to speed on the past abuses by Josh, etc. It's well worth a watch. Much of what they cover has been discussed on here. One thing Jen pointed out was that Josh's iPhone had to be seized and they would not let Josh use it (to call his attorney) as perps have 'kill switches' on phones that will erase material they want hidden.
  12. It was mentioned that his MacBook and iPhone didn't have images of CSA. Maybe that's because he knew how to do the split screen division with TOR on a PC, but couldn't configure an Apple product in the same way.
  13. So similar to Princess Beatrice's being forced to have a small wedding after her father, Prince Andrew's disastrous BBC interview. But, it seems that is really what she wanted all along. It is her publicity-pushing parents who wanted the big wedding similar to what her sister and Harry and Meghan had.
  14. My son and 22-weeks pregnant DIL began house-hunting south of Denver. They made an offer on a home last weekend. Another couple got the house with a similarly priced offer, because they waived an inspection! My son's agent (and my husband and I) think that is crazy to buy a house without an inspection being a contingency. Then yesterday, one of the homes they saw, which they liked more, fell out of contract because the prospective buyers couldn't qualify for the financing. The only reason our son and daughter-in-law didn't make an offer on that one originally was they were told the incoming offer was very competitive. They made an offer for it that was $45K over asking and got the house. It's a beautiful home, and I understand why they would pay up. They want to move in before the baby comes in August, and they would go crazy dealing with this hot market, always just missing out. They are lucky they could afford to pay over asking.
  15. Okay, I'm very shallow, but Claire's aunt (one of her bridesmaids) needs a supportive bra STAT.
  16. I bet you're right. JD must have a food baby they're hiding too. There is a picture of him from the Claritin wedding where he looks very big.
  17. That would make a lot of sense, but they're actually based in Center, Colorado. Pretty close to the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
  18. Maybe Nurthan needed the RV for their stay so Timmy has to sleep on the twin mattress in the boys' dorm.
  19. Ugh - she has to finish with wording that ties into their stupid brand.
  20. I may have done some snooping on Matt Coeler's social media... there's a post on the deck of a house in Lake Arrowhead that looks exactly like the one covered in snow.
  21. I love what one person said to Jason on his IG post: You don't need to call it a business trip and expense it! Your daddy would pay for it anyway.
  22. I've become less and less enthusiastic about decorating for Christmas. My adult daughter loves to do it, so she has taken my tree and decorations to her house to continue the tradition. It includes a lovely set of Simpich carolers that my mother bought in Colorado Springs in the 90's when we lived there. My mother passed a couple years ago, and I inherited the set. They are the only Christmas decorations I really love (so I may take them back from my daughter!) With adult children, I've scaled back on gift-giving too. The only thing I go overboard on is stockings. I love to shop at thrift stores, so throughout the year, I find cute/odd/whimsical things there (usually new) that I can put in stockings. I even put them together for a few of my kids' adult friends who join us on Christmas Day. (I buy the stockings at thrift stores, too.). I still put a tangerine and walnuts in the stocking, because that's what my mom would do to help fill it out. And you always have to put a new toothbrush, toothpaste, and gum in them!
  23. Jill recently posted a picture of herself with new glasses. She answered someone that they were for blue light filtering. So at least she is aware of the strain she is putting on her eyes from all her viewing of things on a laptop.
