  1. Sometimes adult children move away from the behemoth that is the larger family, and that's ok. For the Duggars, it's probably jarring, but it's part of growing up for some people. I feel for Jill and the others who are affected most (close siblings and her kids), but I think it's probably positive for her to have her own life. I have a few close relatives who, once they were adults and had their own families, stopped living in the close orbit of our large and overly close family. Sometimes you pull back. Sometimes you fall back in, sometimes you want to and it's a good thing, and sometimes you skip town to enforce your boundaries. Everyone, every family, is different. Jill will be fine.
  2. I admit to giggling at the guys playing with Henry's fishing game. 🙂 Also, the abuse of vinyl by dropping the needle on the record player made me wince momentarily, but I like the fact that the kids like music and it's not hymns or nothing for the Duggars.
  3. So, with this pic of Lissy and the video of the Duggar family christmas... all the tiny kids have that red flannel. Not sure about Addison and Bella, but Ivy, Giddy, and Garret were all wearing it.
  4. A child behaving inappropriately, being properly scolded and redirected, BY HIS FATHER, and they move on. It was a nice interaction. And Jessa didn't make a fuss about it, just let it happen and moved on. Also, while I understand that there is a more organized and "family" way that the Duggars could have done Christmas, their holiday looks a lot like the one I had as a child and that the next generation still has now. It's messy, and disorganized, but it works.
  5. Yes, Jessa's post says they are going there, and then Ben is showing off dinner with his family.
  6. And... those pillows are just going to be in the way for quite a while, lol. Though it is mostly a nice room.
  7. See, I always assume he's in the middle of telling a really lame dad joke.
  8. YES! I know that soaps like to re-pair actors from popular couples on new shows, but.... that was not a couple that worked, ever, so... that can't be the reason they did this. It has to be just for the drama potential if they ever fix Steve. It's just so fucking stupid!!! The day of the reveal was the day I posted my RAGE, and I'm still not over it. Have not been able to watch since. Why, why, WHY, couldn't they have used Stefan? For real, BB is a good actor, that could have been ok.
  9. Honestly, I started out liking the time jump. It's the Stefano BS that finally tore it for me.
  10. Well, the absence of those 4 assholes is definitely a plus.
  11. Ah, right, ok. That makes sense. Maybe the Duggars will boycott! lol
  12. Liz took an amnesiac patient home and tried to marry him, so ... yeah, GH don't practice good work place ethics.
  13. I have inspired myself, I will put that on a t-shirt Jesus Saves He Does Not Judge (Y'all Be Nice!) lol
  14. Yeah, fundamentalism is a bit to ... involved for me. I like being a nice, laid back, loving Christian. Jesus saves, he does not judge y'all!
  15. sounds like a fair trade, lol college is spensive, i will gladly trade my personhood for free education.
  16. TLC is not the network that got dinged over Zola though, that was Hallmark.
  17. My family does that too. There are just too many of us, and we are not as big of a family as the Duggars are, just more generations. Like, my grandparents only have the 5 kids, but then it's 13 grandkids and 11 great grandkids. with spouses... that's a lot of people to buy for.
  18. you have a point about the emo crying guitar playing, lol. I was thinking more of not having anything in common i guess. I stand by my point that Lucky knows dick all about his kid. I'm sure Aiden was excited to go, but I still feel it would be weird for both of them since they don't really know each other.
  19. It's a cute little gimmicky thing to help when the kids are monsters. I don't think she takes it seriously. In all the hair talk we missed an important point. Jill went to the hairdresser ALONE. I can't even do that!
  20. I appreciate so much how few fucks Jake really gives about Jason. Drew was his real dad!! The way the line about Aiden was delivered, it was clear that this is a huge step for Aiden's relationship with Lucky. Elizabeth had trouble putting him on the plane and Aiden only went with encouragement from Cameron. That's gonna be one awkward ass Christmas. I somehow can't see Lucky reacting with as much joy as Friz do to Aiden creating awesome baked goods. Not that I think he'd be mean, but ... well he probably knows very little about Aiden's day to day life, even if they talk often (which I doubt) and most of his stories will probably have a smattering of "Franco said" and "and mom and Franco" and such. Add to that what some might see as a less than macho hobby and Lucky might feel a little out of step with his kid. Even if you are the best dad in the world, seeing your kid for the second time in 9 years is not going to be a simple thing. And I did the math guys. Franco and Liz have not only been together for the longest time out of all her relationships, I think their marriage has now been the longest as well. Liz and Lucky's first marriage hit it's end at almost exactly a year and all the others were shorter.
  21. I think a straight up Christmas Carol rendition is much better than the "x's christmas carol" crap that we could be getting. I don't need Finn's christmas' past, present, or future, thanks. We could be getting Franco's Wonderful Life. Just... take that in.
  22. I'm disheartened that Nik, Lulu's dead brother, is such a nonentity in the lives of the Spencer family that Charlotte has never seen a picture of him before. That's super sad.
