Yeah, I can't think of a damn thing that Carly could have been nominated for. And Mo is dreadful. ETA: the category combination might be a smart way of handling a possible issue before it becomes controversial. With more and more younger people in general having nontraditional gender identifications, and probably stories that might reflect that in the future, that was DEFINITELY going to become a point of conflict eventually. Now people have one less category to be offended by when their favorite non binary actor is in a role on soaps (maybe, if it happens).

I think I will use the hiatus to write fanfiction of what I think would be a better story. Or, watch youtube clips, probably that one.

I'm sort of watching this show the way I would a Korean historical drama about their monarchy. I go in knowing that it's in no way real and it's just ridiculousness which is fine. And it's entertaining. The maid is my favorite as of episode ones end.

I don't think a lot of these fundies ARE reading the bible. Like, you shouldn't fear death in this pandemic because there is heaven waiting for you. Jesus isn't going to make you immune because you can recite specific verses that you learned in home school instead of natural history and natural selection. The list of characters who have not been presumed dead or faked their deaths on this show is shockingly low at this point, so I don't think we need to add to that, lol. I do think that Skye and Lila Rae should be brought in to fill out the Q ranks a bit, and Dillon should come back as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the more recent actor for Dillon, but he was inofensive enough as a character, excepting his Lulu fixation at the beginning. I want Serena and Christina as well, but that's a lot of female characters I want on the board, so we need some more guys as well.

I still like Peter and I still don't care about his crimes, except maybe causing Drew's plane crash which I still have trouble buying actually killed him. I see nothing that makes Peter so bad that the Jasam BS is worth it. I also don't give a flying fuck that WR is dating LW, or how his name came up for casting on GH.

I would like that, but I expect that it would be just as clunky and crappy as DAYS' time jump ended up.

Willow did deal with her issues over giving her son up. She was totally cool with him being adopted by Lucas and Brad, after Julian talked to her anyway. She respected the boundaries about not getting involved with Wiley until his parents decided to first allow her access and then to ask her to be his every day caregiver, which really blurred the lines. And now people are practically begging her to play mommy to Wiley, so I don't think this is all about the dead baby, I think a lot of it has to do with the connection she has formed to Wiley himself, and her deep belief that protecting a child is the be all end all, which led her to putting her baby up for adoption in the first place.

Eh, I always sort of thought that Nik deserved it. What, exactly, was his beef with Jason anyway? Really?

I'm a bit late with responding to this, but there is one character on this show who argued fiercely with their child's father against doing heart surgery on their infant child and was persuaded to let it happen even though they were totally against it and then the baby died in surgery. Poor Anna. That was on AMC and I was PISSED at David, even though I saw both sides of the issue.

My issue with Britt getting her job back so easily is that she committed a crime against her patient and used hospital resources to do it. Stealing Lante's embryo and implanting it in herself and having Brad cover it up with her (using hospital resources) is probably one of the smaller crimes of PC history, but I do look sideways at her getting rehired at that hospital.

Franco has been broke for years, this is nothing new. He has struggled for money at several points since all of his funds were at first frozen and then went to restitution to the families of his victims, which was totally fair. The money from his art went to Kiki's tuition and then to the hospital to get the art department back up and running so he could go back to work there instead of being a parking lot attendant. And I don't care how good your insurance is, they ain't paying for those "procedures" he got to get his memory back. ETA: I wonder what the billing code was for that. I also want to see the accounting department's faces when they had to figure that out and then submit it to try and get the insurance to cover any of his hospital stay.

Honestly, GH fails at all levels of diversity, despite their token characters. If you aren't white, straight, able bodied and lovely, they aren't that interested in casting you. And, if they need someone of mixed or POC skew for a role, they get the closest to white they can get. One transgendered woman on the show isn't exactly diverse casting, and the execs really don't care. Take their gay couple. They are the only gay people on the show since they got rid of the only other one. They barely exist, and they do NOT have the same treatment as other couples on the show do. Compare that with DAYS which is an EXTREMELY shitty show, but they have gay guys rotating in and out of there as spoilers for the main gay couple, who cheat, lie, divorce, remarry, have amnesia, come back from the dead... all the stuff the other couples do, and they are a MAIN couple on the show. Lucas is a legacy character, being born on the show and having 20+ years of history since birth, this is true. Meanwhile, Sonny and Will are both legacies and both have strong and very visible ties to canvas. Lucas and Brad could easily be lifted from GH and there would be no impact. Sonny and Will being gone from the show (or even just Will when he was dead) severely impacted story and caused a big problem for fans. You guys covered the POC problem. There have been 2 Asian characters on this show in the last 15 years. I would discuss Persons with Disabilities on the show, but......
