I am disabled and was going to lose medicaid and SSI because my husband got a raise of 10 cent, and we could not afford the insurance that was offered (which is so bad that it did not meet Obamacare requirements, so we would have paid a couple hundred a month for insurance and still been fined). We got divorced, I kept my benefits and my husband still is uninsured.

Derick isn't shocked that TV is scripted or that TLC will shoot and frame things the way they want to. He was asked a question and he responded to it. it wasn't even a snarky answer, just a thorough and informative one for someone who obviously doesn't know how this all works.

OK, not that I'm on Michael's side, but... what was the context of the nanny conversation? Like, I haven't seen the episode yet, so was he just out of the blue shoving child care at his uncle? And what is the child care situation there anyway? I just assumed that Brucas had a nanny or baby sitter of some kind because of their jobs. If Brad is actually struggling to find people to watch the baby all the time so he can work, and he can afford it, then he SHOULD have some kind of consistent child care available to him, be it day care or a sitter. Which, a babysitter that works daily and on a regular schedule, IS basically a nanny. Depending on different combinations of relatives to watch Wiley every day, or at least pretty often, is not cool unless there is some kind of agreement in place.

Friz was not a thing when Nik faked his death the first time, for sure and I think that they had their first date right around the time when he "died" in Greece. It took Liz and Franco 6 months from their first date to when they slept together and called it official. Good lord that's an eternity in soap terms, but I give a bit of a pass for 2 arrests, a kidnapping and a shove down the stairs in the meantime.

The idea of Sonny making threats and having people "deal with" corporate espionage and commercial interferance makes me giggle. And how big of a role does Sonny actually have in legal import of coffee. That seems like a big business, like Aurora or ELQ actual business, and Sonny has never EVER been shown in a company office bigger than the back room of a coffee shop. He has to have a CEO or some other officer with an actual degree to run that shit, right?

I really hope that Nikolas' return doesn't mean we have to get NB back. I detest the combination of acting and writing for Spencer. If he was written better, I think NB would be fine, and if there was a more polished actor in the role I think the writing would be more tolerable.

I used to be a Liason fan, and I understand how big of a ship that has been, but thank the great spagetti monster in the sky that is over! Also, I was always bummed that Liz didn't become a clothing designer as a way to turn her talent and interest in art into a career.

The puritan name thing reminds me of a character from a book named Visit-the-infidels-with-explanitory-pamphlets. lol My niece is named Grace Elizabeth and I really, REALLY, rooted for them to make it Elizabeth Grace instead, which just flows better. I can see either of these for the Jabby babby.

Did they though? or did they give Anna the memory of birthing Peter in the first place to intentionally layer in with the twin memory thing? And maybe to dove tail with Drew not wanting to rush out and get his own memories back. Or am I giving the writers too much credit? Probably that last one. As it stands though, Peter could reveal himself to be Satan fucking Saddam Hussein and I don't know if it would make Anna not love him.

I've always been sad at how the obvious chemistry that Franco and Ava have has been wasted. Not that I want them together, that obviously bombed hard about 25 years ago, but they should have played with it at least.

Ava is practically a Liz/Franco cheerleader, so I don't know if I would accept her thinking that Liz would jump on Nik. Unless they undo the undo of Nik being Aiden's father, I can't imagine a world where Nik would come between Liz and Franco. He's been dead their entire relationship, so I can see Franco having issues if Liz and Nik reconnect to their best friend level, but she's gonna be pissed at him for a while for faking his death, twice. She didn't really get a chance to deal with him being alive before he was dead again, so that's gotta be a thing.

I, personally, would not watch a 'darker" superman show. I didn't like the "darker" superman movie, or the sequel, or justice league for that matter. That's just me though.

At least Gladys is dedicated to keeping up the lie, earning her paycheck. I like that CarSon's marriage seems to be crumbling under the weight of their own personalities instead of an outside force messing with them. Dev and Jax are not to blame for any of the BS that Carly and Sonny are doing. Mostly Sonny really.

I've done big christmas both ways (organized and chaos) and the chaos is much less annoying. I do understand about it looking crazy and stuff though. That video simultaneously made me miss my family and that chaotic christmas, and really glad I wasn't there for it, lol.

I don't get why Anna thought that Peter being at a place at the same time as the hired gun was proof of anything anyway. Anna herself worked with Faison when Peter was a kid, so obviously she knew about him? Like, I worked at the same walmart as a friend of mine for 2 years, at the same time, and we didn't find out until some time later. And we knew each other, and hung out, but didn't know we worked at the same store. And, even if Anna just feels like that means Peter is the bad guy, that is not PROOF! Working for/being in proximity of the same bad guys at the same time is not actually PROOF that they even met, much less that Peter hired him. It's laughable is what it is.

I'm gonna assume that she didn't just pick it up off the ground and tack it to the wall. Maybe sealant, or sanding and using fresh paint to distress or something.

Maybe Ben asked her to involve his family more in her and the kids lives. Like, balance. They do seem quite up the Duggar butt hole.

I said this on Jessa's thread, but I don't think it's a huge problem that Jill has pulled back from her family on a large scale. Sometimes that's what you have to do for your sanity. My husband was please when we left our home state, in part, because it helped me pull back from my family. We love my family, but it's a lot, and they expect a level of day to day involvement that is just not good for me. Some of us younger ones have been able to pull back and stay close and even find a middle way, I can't. I sort of admire Jill for being that close and still having an independence.
