  1. Richard Armitage is a gimme: Robin Hood, North and South, The Hobbit Anthony Head is Buffy, Merlin
  2. I don't think I have ever seen Carly interact with Molly, at least not in the modern age. Considering who her dad is, I kind of understand though.
  3. If I were Ava and/or Julian right now... I would leverage Brad and Wiley onto Spoon Island and then use their presence and the current threat to get more time for Ava with Avery. Nik might not even notice all the additions to the household. It keeps Brad where Julian can keep him under control, and Wiley away from Nelle, while providing a safe place for Avery to stay with family and out of the mob stuff. In my dreams...
  4. my sister is having a panic attack at her daughter not talking really, and she's not even 2 yet, so I can imagine that Jessa is concerned about Henry. Ivy's near jump to get to crawling position is adorable. I liked that learning game that they were playing with the kids, with help from mom with the best questions to ask. That kind of scaffolding is good for kids when they are trying to learn the associations between characteristics of things and the actual objects. Actual teaching skill is what I'm saying. The pic of Spurgeon may not be staged if he stacked the books on the one side, sat on the chair and then they fell over on him, especially with the maneuvering he'd have to do to get up on that kind of chair, which probably rocks.
  5. Not to defend anyone in this specific situation, but there are going to be other costs associated with a parent removing to another country to care for a sick child. Is that parent a single parent needing to leave their employment for this trip? How are they keeping up their financial responsibilities (rent and other bills) in their home country while they are away? Are there other children who need to be cared for while the parent is gone? If they are not a single parent, can the other parent meet all the responsibilities for the family without their spouse's support (be it at home or through their job)? What about ongoing medical costs that are not part of the surgery itself (like any long term follow up care)? Obviously bring a medically needy child to the US for their life saving surgery and paying for those hospital costs and the parent's housing is an amazing gift, but perhaps other organizations are seeking to help the family of that child in different ways. Again, not saying that the Bates or Duggars are doing this.
  6. We make assumptions about Jill's procreative choices, but maybe it's not that she's on BC or something, maybe she's just not getting pregnant. Maybe, and don't stone me here, maybe God has decided not to give her more children right now. Or ever. I know usually people associate the "as many as the lord provides" to mean a million, but sometimes the lord just says "eh, you seem like you have enough". And actual leaving it to god doesn't involve active tracking of ovulation and determination to make it happen. Actually letting God decide means putting down the ovulation kits and actually letting him take the reins in the situation. I know that's not IBPL or whatever approved, but my Southern Baptist preacher (I call him my pastor-in-law cause he's my husband's dad) seems to think this is a more accurate understanding of that phrasing. Also, just because Jill makes herself "joyfully available" (one sec, gotta go vomit)... doesn't mean Derick is that into it. He's a busy dude, maybe stressed from school and stuff.
  7. All I can think of that last picture is that that girl needs a more supportive bra.
  8. I've only ever worn any helmet one time in my life, and that was to ride on the back of a motorcycle with my dad when I was 5 (not endorsing this practice). Never worn knee pads or elbow pads. I played on constructions sites, with my dad present and just with other kids. I stood on inappropriate things, like big wheels, to get to high places and my mom told me off a couple of times and then just told me if i was going to ignore her I got what I deserved. I wore a bib at Sam's age, but not Izzy's. I guess I had shitty parents.
  9. I feel bad for the poor kid playing Jon, having to hear his real name in the script and try not to respond to it will probably be annoying.
  10. Probably roll right over it. Probably fun too. I think I would like that bunk. the most private place in the house.
  11. I meant RH. I went back and fixed it. I should not have a conversation and type at the same time.
  12. I wonder what the Rods standard for "addicted" is. Like, if you look at a boob once a year, or maybe you have to watch Baywatch reruns once a week.
  13. I think that if JJ had stayed he'd have maybe flirted with the mob but ended up a PI or something that let him break the law but not look like a child soldier, because JJ was never going to pull off mob thug. I think the cop turn was the better and more interesting story choice for the character because it spit in Luke's face, but I don't think JJ would have been good with that transition. JY wasn't great, but I believed that he wanted to give Luke the finger and be a cop to help people as well. GV did cop very well, and JJ was able to step into that as an older actor well. Not that JJ wasn't good, but his baby face lasted a very long time. And as hard as we have to strain ourselves seeing RH look like a 22 year old with a teenage son (even though she's entirely age appropriate) I would break something seeing 2002 JJ try and pull off police authority.
  14. Well, Canada could get Ryan Reynolds. I mean, he's done it before.... very badly. lol
  15. Jessa did say upfront that these aren't all of their clothes, she's just trying to show a general idea. Even then, if she keeps up with the laundry then one set of jammies is not that big of a problem I get where she's coming from with the whole outfit buying thing. I cannot tell you the number of times I have found a shirt that was great and thought "Oh, I can wear this with those pants in my closet", bought it, then gotten home, tried on the outfit and... no, they do not actually look good together. Then you have to find new pants to go with that shirt, or take the shirt back. Or stuff it in the back of the closet and forget about it.
  16. That photo is weirdly shot, lighted and filtered. And they all look strained or something. Just a no.
  17. Maybe they think she looks preggers in that dress too, so they waited til AFTER the G3 pics, where she definitely does NOT look preggers, to avoid too much speculation. Or, maybe she is preggers and they are about ready to announce. Or they didn't have anything else to post today.
  18. I hope the 'revoke" the adoption nonsense is just Joss being a spoiled child. Willow has had issues with Brad from the get go because he's been very flaky. Also, he bought into Dawn of Day super easily and was a dick about it to Lucas when he wasn't. He's always acted like a near lunatic in her presence, and disappears at odd times, lies about where he's going or been. Dude is a flake. Now, we know why he's acted this way, but Lucas got sick of it and everyone else noticed as well. Although, I don't know why anyone would give a kid to Brad in the first place. All the crap he's done isn't on the internet I guess. I think that the thing that will b low things up is Lucas waking up, but IDK if Nelle will be dead before or after that. Maybe she will be killed while trying to steal Wylie and that's how the killer doesn't go to jail. Or, maybe it will be some DOD nutjob that's pissed she married Shilo.
  19. That's right, straight people can't disagree with or have problems with anyone who isn't straight or it sends a bad message!!! Meanwhile, in the real world, it's ridiculous to put that out there. There is no difference between a straight parent and a gay one and calling attention to the issue every time there is conflict is the exact opposite of equality. Brucas is an interracial couple as well, anyone want to have a fit about Willow being racist as well?
  20. Derrick probably fills the tank after Sunday church and other activities where they have the kids and her car is easier to take. Stopping off on the way home to get gas isn't some grand inconvenience, and probably gives him peace of mind. I'm sure Jill can, and does, get gas if she does a great deal of driving, but she mainly stays in a pretty small area and probably doesn't go through more than half a tank a week or so. Lots of men put gas in their wife/girlfriend's car for them. Lots of women expect the man to pump no matter who is paying for the gas. Sometimes a full tank is just a full tank.
  21. I wonder if they would die if LGBTQ+ pro-lifers showed up with their families for this rally.
  22. Jill uses SM to vent more than she should. I get the impulse, but she's too public for it to be a safe outlet.
  23. Well, Dev did shut Joss down, so as long as that continues it's not that much of an issue. Also, she gets to tell Sonny that his Stone 3.0 might have eyes for Joss and that should cause some issues, which will make her happy.
