Ah, yes - the Sonic fans are out in force, reveling in the news, calling OKC loser rednecks, inbreds, all sorts of fun stuff - lovely. I kind of hate the heat KD is getting on social media - I understand the arguments, and it is a huge blow for OKC and for small market teams, in general, but he's a decent guy. I'm heartbroken for my team, but don't understand the vitriol - not a good look. We had a good run - I fear Westbrook will be bolting next...sigh...why, Durant, why? I miss him already, not gonna lie. Jesus, could the Warriors be more stacked?

Fuck me, Durant's going to the Warriors. Unbelievable. Lame. Dying a little inside.
  3. Hey, I totally agree with you - Bethenny and Carole have been showing their asses all season, but Lu is not fighting the greater good here, IMO. She is always looking out for Number 1, and is tone deaf to anyone and anything beyond her own wig.
  4. Preach. Even if Bethenny and Carole are assholes, doesn't absolve Lu of being an asshole too - her 'special hour with Lu' had a few humdingers - such as ghosting her live-in boyfriend without even the courtesy of letting him know in person he was being dumped (or even waiting to marry before dumping him) That's some cold shit right there. Then the car rolling down the hill - "I thought 'I'm going to die'" (beat) "and my kids are going to die". Oh Lu, never change. Also funny to see her tune change about invitations when she's the one in control of the inviting (and the camera time). Still think she's a superficial, self-absorbed snake. I mean, even more than all the other superficial, self-absorbed snakes on this show.

I really hope the next games are better, because this Finals series is BORING.

How about this - even if the Cavs don't make it to Game 7, as the Thunder did, I promise not to call them a bunch of losers or hope this series haunts them for the rest of their careers. Because that would be way harsh, Tai.
  7. Dear Santa, I want it all. Hee...what? I cannot stand LuAnn but Bethenny, calm down, Smalls. Jesus.

I hear ya, and agree - I just hope KD stays with OKC.

Mad respect to the Warriors. As an OKC fan, I'm heartbroken...and don't know where we go from here (God help us with the years of "Chokelahoma" we're gonna hear), but the Warriors are a hell of a team. Not much more to say than that.

Yeah, I'm gonna second this emotion, because I don't want to lose KD, and the Warriors don't need him. Yes, the Oracle is going to be very tough - we could not get any momentum there in Game 5. So yeah, Game 6 was a bit of a heartbreaker for an OKC fan.
  11. "We need to stop...being stupid". And with that, LeeAnne has the quote of the season.

Full disclosure - I'm a completely biased, OKC born and raised, hard core Thunder fan. That said, I think this just might be our year. Against the odds, I'm taking the Thunder in 6 - in the Conference finals, 6 in the finals. Wishful thinking? Sure. I also happen to believe it. Tomorrow night will really tell the tale for how this whole shootin' match is going to play out, I think. I really respect the Warriors - they are insanely good. Tomorrow night is a scary one. It's gonna take lights out playing by the Thunder (a straightjacket on Curry wouldn't hurt...) but OKC is hangry. If they can keep their shit together, they can take this. Thunder up, boys.
  13. If you can find Black Sweat - give it a go...HOT. Yeah, I read the overdose story as well, god damn drugs...I hope that's not how he went out - such a senseless waste of a once in our lifetime artist. Just gutted - Prince was the soundtrack of my youth and never stopped being relevant. RIP sweet Prince.
  14. I've been thinking this show should end for about 4-5 years now, yet now I wish this finale was another hour or two - so fun riding down memory lane. That said, I guess the fact that I wish we didn't have to spend time announcing the winner / winner's song is a testament to why I'm glad Idol is coming to a close.
  15. I adore Thorgy. Adore. Surprising to me, since she was somewhere between bottom half and, wait, who? before the season started (based on preview vids). Definitely the most endearing one of the bunch, and this is such a strong group. Love Bob too, but Thorgy is stealing my cold, little heart.
  16. Sincere question...is the dude's name Jason or Kyle? I don't know from where "Kyle" came, but he's referred by that name on here more often than "Jason", yet Probst calls him Jason. Is this like a Justin Bobby thing?
  17. So, I take it Kelly's dad is a total prick? Yikes. Beautiful job by the original Kelly Belly tho' (pun is only incidental).
  18. I'm not feeling Trent, at all. I was shocked to hear the judges fawning, and now people here really liked him as well, so I'm a little disoriented. Seems like a nice guy and all, but his tone and his vibrato are just bonkers to me, he sounds tinny and bleat-y and, I dunno, maybe I'm just inexplicably allergic to him. I even re-listened and looked away this time, which...helps, yet still - just really unpleasant to my ears. I still like Dalton though - emo whispering aside... I was so glad to hear HCJ flatly tell Jenn(?) that she was completely off key for half the song - that was brutal on the ears too.
  19. One thing I found interesting in an interview with David Schwimmer (I'll circle back with a link), was his comment that Robert himself is barely mentioned in Toobin's book, so he had to do research elsewhere. I realize the writers are taking some license here, as expected; I just find it intriguing that this series is based on a book in which one of the central characters is hardly mentioned at all, so naturally I'd venture to guess the kids are non-existent in the book as well. Linky: Variety Magazine ETA the relevant excerpt:
  20. Just my opinion, but the 911 calls sound like a very well done reenactment of the real tapes - I agree with someone upthread - the cadence is wrong, and Nicole's voice is just a little off to me. I think another reason the early release was problematic is because hearing them over and over and over months before the trial and they tend to lose their impact - the potential jurors may become more desensitized by trial time. Heh, or what FuriousStyles said...
  21. I didn't know this about Miss Lawrence! I respect the hell outta that - good for him. At the other end of the pendulum, I assume Andy's forgiveness is tied directly to RHOA being the biggest money maker in the franchise (assuming it still is).
  22. I can't get a feel for what tone this series is aiming to set. At times, it's a straight drama, at other times it's campy and cutesy (overload of Kardashian 'winks' - which, spelling it out and chanting the name...really, show? OJ asking for OJ, etc.), and yet at other times it's a sharp, satirical commentary (Shapiro's 'everyone will blame ME and talking himself up at the press conference, 'he's being chased by the cops...he's black now...', 'news, entertainment, and sports...OJ gets the big box!', etc.). I dunno - I wish they would've stayed the drama / biting satire path, because the campy stuff just feels out of place. I get that it was a circus, and I think (and wish) that aspect was addressed in a way that had more gravitas and bite. It just feels a little too fluffy for such a brutal double homicide and a racially divided event, and the overall tone just feels uneven to me. Still watching, for sure - lots of good stuff here - I just think it could be so much better.
  23. I think Dalton will be the final WGWG winner. Oddly, I'm very okay with that. I don't get a Lambert vibe from him, but as someone here stated a few weeks ago, he is a lot like Jacob Hoggard from CA Idol - good voice, irreverent and punk-lite. He's definitely the most interesting contestant this year, IMHO. Sadly, it's a pretty low bar, but he should be fun to watch. Really bummed to see Collette go, but figured she's was a long shot with no air time since auditions, and yeah, her last performance was surprisingly shaky. Least surprising Top 24 ever...AI is gonna go out with a whimper, I'm afraid. Oh, and I like LaPorsha enough, but HOTRS was terrifying.
