  1. Well shit - Hayden was the only one with a clue...
  2. Oh, I really wish this would happen - these sheep need to make one damn interesting decision free from Derrick and production. C'mon Cody and Valtrex, hang tough on this!
  3. Has anyone seen Nicole since the Veto? Have they talked about what happened at the ceremony or the aftermath?
  4. Oh, of course - god forbid they lose Frankie. Why is production intent on keeping this season so boring?
  5. Yeah, but is it a power shift if they just vote out Caleb? He's the same target for the boring ass detonators...
  6. Totally agree. I also get why she was put off by Eric's comments and why his comments about dating a girl not a 'tv actress' might've stung, but I found it funny that she walks away from this conversation only to deliver an overwrought, soap-worthy monologue in front of the other guys, complete with cracking voice and holding back non-existent tears. TV actress, indeed. And how awkward for those guys. Whatever - she's not awful (lectures notwithstanding) and does seem fairly intelligent, but she doesn't strike me as overly genuine here either.
  7. Yes, but this scene was several years prior, as the legend said "1987" - this is when the original movie took place (released in 1996, but the story took place in 1987). So, King could've spotted this within, say, a day or a week after it was buried. I loved it and thought it was a fun way to wink at the audience. I'm starting to get annoyed with the bumbling sheriff as a plot device to impede the investigation with Lorne / Lester. It's been amusing up to a point, but I hope they move past that now - there are other ways to slow down the pace of the plot line without the Barney Fife silliness. It'll drag the show down into sitcom territory if he continues to be the obstacle, but I'm thinking (hoping) the writers are better than this. Of course, I kept hope alive thru the cold, bitter end of Dexter and, after slogging thru 4 shitty seasons topped off with the lumberjack, I'm a skeptic. Lester needs some serious antibiotics, stat - that hand is gross.
  8. I thought it was really cute how each of the aliens were listening intently and reacting while the judges were speaking with each contestant. Just a little thing, but it was a nice touch from the puppeteers, and a fun little bonus.
  9. Omigosh - that means CJ, a really nice guy who cannot sing on key to save his life, is going to be in the top 5. That pretty much says it all about the decline of Idol.
  10. I really like Alex, but what a strange song to Mraz-up. Without the steady, predatory downbeat, the song loses all its power in my opinion. I don't find the lyrics sweet - 'every vow you break', 'every smile you fake', along with 'can't you see, you belong to me?' Dude is seething and obsessing. The underlying menace is what always made the song interesting, for me. I've liked his stuttering, tempo-bending Mraz spins on past songs and thought they really worked, but this was a weird choice. CJ - bless his heart. So sweet and endearing, and just so, so bad.
