Best episode so far. Jean Smart is amazing and I actually did not dislike Ava for a change. The budding friendship between them is something that they both need.

I didn't love this episode - too much Ava.

Jean Smart is wonderful and I completely understand her showing up at a pizza parlor opening for $100,000 and stock. Shrewd business move. Definitely reminiscent of Joan Rivers. The character of Ava does nothing for me. She could leave the show and I'd be thrilled. So far, all I do is cringe at her. I like Marcus and nice to see Gypsy from Gilmore Girls.

Loved Deborah's scratch and claw speech in the desert. Ava is on my last nerve already.

Nice ending to Season 1. I hope there is a Season 2. Will Holly actually leave? I like the chemistry between the two actors but I can't see how she stays at the school instead of taking a shot to be a head coach.

I just finished Mare of Easttown, which I really enjoyed. Lots of twists and red herrings - plus Kate Winslet, Jean Smart and Juliette Nicholson. Highly recommended. Am now up to date on Whitsable Pearl. I thought it was just okay and improved as the episodes progressed. I like the lead actress - who I have never seen before - and particularly like the relationship between Pearl and her mother. The show reminded me more of a character study with some mysteries thrown in than a true mystery series. I did like seeing Fleur from Midsomer Murders in the last episode.

I really enjoyed it. I binged the show over 3 nights and found myself thinking about it during each day. I thought that the emphasis on the women of Easttown was well placed: Bethy, Dawn, Mare - shown to be dealing with tragedy and coming out the other side. Had no problem with Ryan as the killer. I was sure that Mare would end up asking Carrie to move into the house; so glad that she did not do so. Would have liked further update on Drew's blinking. ETA: I thought the Dylan storyline was completely left hanging - especially after he threatened Jess. When the show ended without him being arrested or having some consequence, I couldn't believe it. I'd watch a Season 2.

Yes - I binged Season 1 and am eagerly awaiting Season 2. I liked it - the mysteries are relatively light and I really like seeing Candice interacting with her family and with her colleagues.

I started this last night and am all in. I watch a lot of foreign mysteries on Acorn and Britbox; Mare reminded me a lot of many of the older female detectives in those shows: tired, world-weary, competent, beaten down by life.

I liked the latest episode - especially the part where Coach Camryn Manheim tells Holly that she is retiring and is willing to pick Holly as her replacement. Surely that job push will not come without strings. Also liked the scene with Destiny and her mom. Well done. I could definitely get into Margarita Mondays.

I really enjoyed the Gerlie storyline. So glad to see Filipino nurses represented. I teared up while the staff were getting vaccinated.

I found this show by accident after finishing The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, which I highly recommend. Seeing David E. Kelley's name attached is what led me to watch the pilot - very pleased that I did. I have just finished the episode where Louise's dad is arrested. I really like all of the basketball players - as well as Emma - they all remind me of teenage girls. The actor playing Lucas appears to be much older than the girls. It immediately bothered me. Stamos is great and I have always liked Jessalyn Gilsig. She does not seemed to have aged at all since Boston Public. I also like the principal. The school counselor who hates Korn comes off too much like a caricature. I can't imagine that a school employee would be compelled to undergo therapy with a school counselor.

Loved the finale. Really well done. The kids are great. Enjoyed seeing Stephanie being dragged over from the dark side. Also great that Sofi's parents valued her knee over her playing in the finals. The moment that Koob saw his parents finally show up to a match was awesome. I hope the show is renewed. Seeing all of these kids find a home together was very inspiring.

My thought exactly. I was sure that she was going to be killed as the final shot of the season.

I am finishing up Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries (which I am enjoying so much that I have sought out the Kerry Greenwood novels upon which the show is based). I then plan to start Mare of Easttown and finish up Money Heist. Looking forward to some new Acorn and Britbox shows. ETA: Started watching Series 1 of Candice Renoir on Acorn. French police commander who returns to lead a police team 10 years after taking a break to have a family. So far, relatively light and focused on her struggles at home and at work.

I'm not a big fan of the wild eyed crazy killer storyline with the gruesome murders. I tend to FF a lot. I did like the cliffhanger. I'm betting that Tali shot the ex husband. Missed Barnes.

Really liked Meredith's reunion with her children. Also liked Bailey and Richard's realization that Jackson was their new boss. Whatever happened to the last crop of interns - Casey and the others? I was reminded of them by the flashbacks. Speaking of the flashbacks, I really liked seeing the familiar -- and younger -- faces.

The highlight was seeing Georgina Reilly, who played Dr. Grace in Murdoch Mysteries as Sherri.

Given that Vargas is going to be the headliner next week, I wonder if the Elise subplot this week was a way to remind viewers of what Vargas did to her?

Just found this excellent show and am almost finished with Season 1. Love the relationship between Phryne and Jack. Also love Phryne's household - which seems to be filled with wonderful strays.

I love Nick. He cracks me up. I thought that the superstitious socks were funny too.

I liked the emphasis on Scola plus Tiffany was much more likeable this episode.

Agreed! I watched the entire Doctor Blake Mysteries as well as the few episodes when Jean became the lead character. Very well done.
