  1. Particularly with sitcom writers/show runners they are always hawking pilots.
  2. While I am not saying her voice isn't affected many times she reminds me of two of my friends who were born and raised in Oakland/Berkeley like Chelsea, so I love Gina!
  3. I sort of get Mohamed, not that I agree, but because he was hardly on the show at all because he was hardly ever at the house.
  4. Yeah I went to public school in Washington State and we had two weeks of square dancing every year in school. It was always my favorite time of year in gym because you could wear your street clothes and didn't have to take a shower afterwards! I love that Barry is so dim he didn't even realize that the questions were obviously too easy to be the trivial pursuit game he was playing before and that he was so cocky about winning.
  5. I love that the announcer kept insisting that Stephanie would have no idea what team made what but if she knew that what was made by the judges there is no way she couldn't have figured out what chef mentor choose which dish. I mean I don't think it had any bias but if I was just given the list of what each chef chose I could easily have identified who chose them.
  6. I can't imagine Nick Cannon capturing anyone's attention (Mariah excluded) but Rosa would more likely chew him up and spit him out.
  7. The thing about them being surprised about Alex having a boyfriend is that I never assume it's because they think she is too ugly to get a dude; just that she is a socially awkward condescending asshole so no one would want to hang out with her.
  8. Yeah Matt and Kaia being on that list is weird to me. I also wouldn't put Joe on the list either.
  9. I am pretty sure everyone does. I loved how much love and respect the other chefs had for Obi Wan when he was on TC Masters!
  10. I agree. Especially because he was an ass to her when they were on the same team during the Revolutionary War challenge, shushing her when she was cheering for her another teammate. It's especially weird because they hadn't even determined who would be the EC. While Adam might have looked out for himself on past team challenges, I would still rather have him on my team than Katsuji.
  11. I imagine like many Jews they aren't religious and they don't keep kosher.
  12. Lilly's response to that, "you chose me!" cracked me up.
  13. That is exactly how I took her comment, that the women would rock out the dishes. Who knows with how it was edited but I have a hard time believing given her personality that Mei didn't also put her name in for executive chef. I think Keriann deserved to go. She didn't control the servers and they didn't seem to have a good handle on solving problems and communicating with the kitchen. And her dish was just absolutely poorly conceived. There were any number of desserts she could have made ahead of time that would have worked, something like Melissa's cobbler would have been perfect because I cannot imagine that even if they executed the dish exactly to KeriAnn's specifications that it would have been good, I mean day old cold crepes sounds like the most unappetizing thing. So the combination of poorly conceiving a dish, not checking in on how it was being prepared at the beginning, and not managing the front of house she should have gone home.
  14. Though he was a sous chef in the finale.
  15. Interesting how people see people differently, Jeff always annoyed me because I thought he was too intense and always overworking/overthing his dishes because he thought more was somehow better.
  16. Well Partridge is north of Minneapolis about the same distance that Northfield is south of it, maybe that was enough of a distance!
  17. I was rewatching The Prom episode and I still get way to excited when Ben mentions he went to my Alma Mater and had a radio show, so did I!
  18. He really doesn't have anything to do with the content of the website anymore. He has long since transferred all those responsibilities to other people.
  19. I am well aware it is a television show and was basing my "that isn't true" on my friend's experience who was approached to do this show because a friend of theirs works on production and got fairly far along in the process before they decided the remodel was stressful enough they didn't need to add cameras and a crew around as well.
  20. This isn't true. The show provides the designer but the homeowner is in charge of the contractors and the relationship between them. Also, we have seen several episodes where the homeowners go vastly over budget.
  21. I didn't say that is why the won that leg, my point was that the race has any number of variables that TPTB can't be responsible for making the tasks an even playing field. It would have just been as easy for the cyclists to have been behind in Copenhagen and their knowledge of the bike pushed them ahead of another team. Just like in this challenge A/B and two other teams could have had the 40 minute lead on the group and so no one would have challenged A/B for the FF and the plan to U-Turn the cyclists would have been in place and they could have still been eliminated. They took a risk even though they knew the time difference they were ahead of A/B because they past each other on the boat ride and that it was most likely a surfing challenge but still decided to go ahead and do it and therefore were eliminated.
  22. It wasn't just a ride the bike challenge though, it was wide a cargo bike that everyone commented on how difficult and different from riding a typical bike except for Kym who specifically mentioned it was a piece of cake because she had ridden this exact same type of bike that she had ridden in a bicycle competition. Now there is no way that TPTB would have any reason to know that but all of us have different skills and there was absolutely no guarantee that the Adam and Bethany would make it this far, if they didn't have the express pass they could have easily been eliminated in Malta because the pole task seemed hard and Bethany might have had issues/been slower at the polishing task.
  23. For those of you who live in or near Chicago tickets for a dinner cooked by Stephanie and Kristen on December 14th just went on sale!
  24. I don't think she knew how emotional she was, I don't think they didn't have her out there from the beginning because she was too emotional when she came out she was fine, I think they just wanted to talk about other parts of the episode first and the other times she has been on she hasn't really had much to say. It would make sense that it was finally hitting her because she know longer had to keep it a secret for a bunch of people and so a lot of those emotions were bottled up and overwhelmed her when she could release them in front of other people.
  25. I really wanted to know how much the cost overruns for all the mistakes ended up being. A fixed cost remodel sounds like the most sensible idea imaginable!
