  1. Every time I rewatch Texas, I am reminded once again how much I loathed Bev. I wouldn't have been as mean to her as Heather and Sarah but I would not have been able to deal with her.
  2. But on hearing about it, Jake also thought it was an awesome idea it was only seeing it that freaked them both out. With a bechamel sauce.
  3. In the Amsterdam episode there are two more floors to renovate.
  4. Yes, Chad was on in late October so I doubt it's him.
  5. It made perfect sense to me. Forty minutes is really nothing when we are talking arrival times through different airports and international flights (delays, weather speeding up or slowing down the flight path, delay in customs etc.), so it would be good to have at least one other team, a team you were confident you could beat, on the flight in order to make sure if anything did happen there was still one team that they could beat.
  6. The other thing that I really didn't like about Brooke is when she wanted Maya to fall during the tightrope walking. I mean I get that Maya, like Jim, would have been fine but there is no way the initial fall wouldn't have been absolutely terrifying. I mean I get contestants want people to fall all the time (ie the surfing tasks) but I don't remember someone saying it during a challenge of this type.
  7. I actually ate at the original in Minneapolis before it became a chain, I wasn't that impressed but I always remembered it because of the name when they started popping up everywhere. I have been once or twice, the only thing I can say for it is that it's better than the Olive Garden.
  8. Not at all surprising to me, the last time the dentists saw the cyclists was with a good time advantage and a FF'd option and because they went with the crab option they had legitimately no way of knowing where the cyclists were and had good reason to assume that they had already passed the u-turn. I mean I suppose you could argue that on the last U-turn it doesn't really matter if you waste it but they also might not know if B/A changed their mind about doing the FF and wanted to at least give them a chance to use the U-turn once they got there.
  9. Alcohol.
  10. The reference to his siblings was in regards to how David learned to tell stories growing up around the dinner table trying not to get interrupted by his siblings, Paul aka the Rooster was born when David was a late teenager.
  11. He was on the first season. As for his outfit, he is always a dapper fellow!
  12. Neither was a vegetable dish, Katsuji's had lobster as a component. I note that mainly because they talk about Katsuji being a Kosher/Mexican chef and like only two dishes he has made in the competition are actually Kosher. And Sue's losing dish was also not a vegetable dish it was clams with a stuffing. I think the only two actual vegetable dishes were Aaron's succotash which was well received but in the middle and Melissa's who was on the bottom but didn't lose. Not saying that Nina didn't do well but I imagine the fact that her father was a beloved Prime Minister of St. Lucia had just as much to do with the honor than her placement.
  13. "I found out I really hated teaching childrent," might be one of my favorite lines on this show.
  14. Which is what he meant by choking, I have never had any issue with his using that term or think that it anyway implies he let her win. He didn't put out the best meal he could that day, Stephanie put out an amazing meal but if Richard had made a better meal he could have also won or Stephanie could have "choked" by not serving a meal she was happy with like he did. Heck she even talked about messing up her meal when she had to compete against Blais and Antonia during the All Star competition, she wasn't implying that Richard's meal wasn't better, just that she didn't put out her best effort.
  15. Harris Wittels Parks writer/producer/former animal control employee of Pawnee; talks about his drug addiction.
  16. Aimee is actually really into the LA comedy scene, she is friends with a ton of comedians, been in a bunch of videos and has comedians on her shows at Largo which she was promoting on the show, so that was much less surprising to me than Neko Case.
  17. Andy isn't a Bravo executive anymore so he isn't responsible for scheduling.
  18. OMG, Ron Funches "high television ratings and the Pete Holmes Show" on missed connections had me rolling.
  19. I adore Mario but I also loved how into he got the Frozen sing along!
  20. Chelsea's new comedy special is streaming on Netflix.
  21. Maybe because their locations are limited. Did Planet Hollywood give out $500? He did give the winner a trip for two to Maui.
  22. Mileage must vary but this is a collection of quotes from interviews Padma has made about gaining weight during the season and losing it with links to longer articles, doesn't seem to me that she was horrified or complaining about gaining weight, just that it is what it is. I imagine that most people would like to eat/drink less after a season of filming a show consuming such rich foods. The main difference is no one asks Tom or any other male judge how they deal with the weight.
  23. Yes, it confirmed to me that Tesar is and always has been a douche.I felt bad that Waxman as the "bad boy chef" got compared to Tesar, when he is such a delight.
  24. Oh thanks! I thought it was weird but I didn't think to look in the C's!
  25. Since there is no challenge thread, Diem died.
