  1. You mean Tiffani, not Stephanie.
  2. He could have compared the peas to his one remaining ball which I imagine he loves.
  3. You can also easily see who submitted the thing, the citation is to Flip's website which describes him as Flip's "Creative DIrector," though clearly the owners of Flip want people to make the Blais connection because he has his own page.
  4. I don't think they ever conveyed that it was his, they listed it under his name just like they did with Woodfire Grill for Kevin, and many other chefs, even though Kevin didn't own or was even the first chef at Woodfire Grill.
  5. This annoyed me because the guests never asked if it was Beluga, they simply asked if it was sturgeon (which is traditionally what sturgeon roe was called, with other fishes simply using the term blank fish roe, though now many different kinds of fish roe are called caviar) and it was only because Kat is an idiot who wasn't aware that caviar is roe regardless if it's sturgeon or Beluga sturgeon and screwed up their question that Kate and Ben decided they were too stupid to know anything that they should be lied to. I think it's clear they liked it because they ate a shit ton of it.
  6. I believe in everything I ever read about Flip burger, Blais was listed simply as the consulting chef with profit-sharing not the main owner. Also, for what it's worth I know a few people who work at a different Flip Burger and Blais was there often before he started on opening The Spence over a year ago. The two times I ate there he was also there.
  7. Particularly because when he was making the dish for the wife he mentioned that the reason for the lamb and scallops was because the primary guest had requested a change from the original menu because of the taste preferences of another guest and ordered something his wife wouldn't eat. Maybe it's never come up before?
  8. I would much rather him do that than create some bullshit story he doesn't believe to fit his dish. I am not suggesting the others weren't sincere in the stories but not everyone thinks that way. CJ doesn't strike me as the sentimental type, so play to your strengths, make a kick ass pea dish (which he apparently did) and tell the truth about the reason you made it.
  9. I believe the poster was saying that Eddie didn't appear to be using cards on his podium like others but rather cue cards off to the side.
  10. He was in his room with Andy, they showed him several times when Haley and Andy were talking.
  11. I loved Mitchell's "she's a year younger than you?" when he found out that Lily's friend was six. It reminds me of my best friend's three year old who is very advanced but sometime my friend and the other parents get a little too competitive about their children's progress.
  12. Ben seemed to complain about it more than Amy. Amy also mentioned taking care of the cabins and downstairs. Though I do not understand why they don't keep the upstairs bar stocked at all times with the guest preferences so they don't have to run down to the galley all the time.
  13. Yeah my parents apartment in Prague did that and have been to several of those in Paris and Italy. Often they are so tiny people still use the stairs. It's just nice to have the option, if your tired are have a ton of shit.
  14. I understand the concept and the reason behind it, it just annoys the shit out of me.
  15. The thing about Kelley being all buthurt over the Captain laughing at his elbow injury is that the reason he was laughing is that he knew that Kelley was lying about messing his elbow up a few days before, he knew that he had hurt it getting drunk the night before.
  16. I know people always get down on house hunters for not being able to envision rooms differently if they aren't correctly staged but I could never in a million years buy a house based on a model home (not that I would want to live in one or in that type of that development) like the one in the recent Maryland episode. You want doors? That's $5000 extra. Walls? $10,000. A roof?$15k. I know that is an exaggeration but I almost feel like developers should have to show a complete base model and than if they want have one with all the bells and whistles.
  17. I guess I am a pessimist because whenever I see the fourth/fifth floor walk ups, I always imagine myself trying to walk up them sick with the flu or if I break my leg (my friend was basically confined to her fourth story walk up for a month and half when she broke her leg and her doctor didn't want her walking up and down them).
  18. I wonder if this is more "amazing" advice from Aaron's cop uncle that unlike with a woman who has to lay hands on you first before you can slap the shit out of her, with a dude they only have to be verbally aggressive.
  19. Well not really because they weren't going to take the place so it was a reason to object. She never said she wasn't going to take him on walks, the place they choose didn't have a yard, it was just not in a high rise and right on the beach and in a much nicer location for talking him for walks and not having to take him up and down the elevator every time, just a flight of stairs.
  20. Moshe Kasher was the stabbing victim/hipster milk bar owner and he grew up with Andy and Chelsea as well.
  21. Even as a regular the mutli-cam sitcom filmed before a live studio audience least time consuming job on television.
  22. I don't know if a few of these people got boiled alive that could possibly be progress!
  23. Didn't they turn it into a "hot tub" building a frame for it out of metal pipes and then a fire pit underneath it? Mike and Aaron set it up.
  24. As I said, I wasn't suggesting either of them go into business with her, just that they are well connected and have the connections with other financial backers. Chefs with much lower profiles (often none) and less connections get financial backers everyday. I am not suggesting it's easy just that it is done all the time, so it seems weird that someone who has a platform like Carla, Mario and Michael mention their restaurants nearly every show, where she has an opportunity to talk about the restaurant on national tv everyday.
