  1. If it was producer driven or not, Ben admitted that dinner was that late and they should be able to just deal with it because it's "art." There were issues with his time management last season as well.
  2. Except I believe it was stated that the charters were only 3 days, so still a huge discount but if I had enough cash for a $40,000 vacation I would so much rather not have to know what everyone on the ship thought of me, let alone the general public and internet!
  3. In the beginning of the first episode I found myself finding both the directors insufferable in two completely different ways. While I still haven't warmed up to Anna completely, I rate her above Shane because I some of her reserve seems to stem from the fact that all of this is going to be on camera (still annoying because at the end of the day she signed up for his) whereas I imagine Shane wants someone to film him every moment of his entire life (not just for his YouTube videos).
  4. The last few episodes before their summer break also had them which when I assume these episodes were filmed because even though they are "new" they clearly were filmed awhile ago (seriously, I imagine on Monday or Tuesday whichever the first actual new episode is filmed Daphne will be down at least 10-15lbs of baby weight).
  5. On Grantland's The Right Reasons podcast, one of them knows someone who works on the show and saw the contract and while they get a discount they still pay $40,000 for the charter.
  6. They did give them bread earlier in the dinner. Unless it is a multiple course tasting menu more than two hours from when you got drinks to your entree is ridiculous timing.
  7. My life would be made if Paul F Tompkins also guested on that episode doing his Herzog impression!
  8. They are filming in Chicago and this picture is adorable (not a spoiler).
  9. The apartment was lovely but it was also in a major touristy area and had no outdoor space. The house they got not only had the number of bedrooms they wanted but a lovely yard and pool and in an actual neighborhood. Also, to me being close to the kids school makes more sense then distance from work because yes she didn't have anything else to do (though who knows maybe she does charity work or other things) but the kids friends and activities are also most likely going to be around the area where they go to school so there would be a lot of driving in addition to just the daily drop off and pick up. Also, the husband mentioned that he could work some days from home to cut down on the commute, that isn't an option for the kids.
  10. I also don't think there will be that much noise, they are fairly small units and only two bedrooms each so I can't imagine they will be purchased or rented to families with tons of kids and it also limits the number of singles or couples that will occupy them. I think the married couple and twins units will be the first to go and go for higher prices because they are neutral and have much larger private yards. The sisters apartment is also neutral and their private yard much nicer than that sand trap. I think that unfinished ceiling monstrosity will go for the lowest because even if they find a buyer who likes their shitty aesthetic I can't imagine it will be more than one or two so there will not be competition for it.
  11. I wouldn't even call it making up for it, it's his job to wake up and make them breakfast. He has ridiculous time management if it took him that long to do a rack of lamb and some couscous. Also, why on earth wouldn't recruit someone to help him with plating or some of the basic prep work. It seemed ridiculous that four or five people were just standing around watching him when the guests were starving.
  12. Well Nicole Byer is on tonight, which will mean three! I am surprised that Yvette Nicole Brown hasn't been on, she is funny and she and Chris have a good rapport on Walking Dead.
  13. My best friend's three year old has taken to saying "Are you Nell? From the movie Nell," whenever someone asks her to do something she doesn't want to do.
  14. Isn't it one building with two units in the front facing one street with the front yard, than two facing the pool and the garages which are either on another street or an access alley and the individual yards off the sides of each unit. The sisters and Amanda and Curtis (their yards were narrower) being on one side with A/C being in the back because their garage is connected and they are by the pool. Than the married couple being in the front, he was standing next to the sister at the reveal of the exterior, and the twins being in the back because both their yards were wider than the sisters and A/C. A twist on a reality show I believe wasn't scripted, the surprise pregnancy!
  15. I refuse to believe anyone, even his family after he has been gone a month, would be that excited to see Jeff Mauro.
  16. Which anyone who has spent time around children, particularly children North's age is not at all uncommon regardless of how much they love and spend time with the person whose hair they are pulling.
  17. Yeah I think that is why the guests response to Kate triggers many to think it's sexist. I am not being hyperbolic when I say that I rarely go a day without a stranger telling me or one of my female companions to smile as we walk down the street, I can literally not think of a single time a male companion of mine has had that said that to them and it's not because me and my female friends are dour sourpusses and my male friends are all shiny, happy people skipping down the street with a smile on their face.
  18. The problem with both turkey bacon and veggie bacon is that it isn't the same texture as regular bacon so "wrapping" it around the hot dog would be problematic.
  19. I think it's more that the only regular cast members are those in the actual league.
  20. She started doing it after the show. From listening to nearly every Nerdist podcast I don't think the breakup was messy at all just both of them realizing they wanted different things and that she has issues with him being a workaholic who couldn't relax and put personal things above their relationship. Admittedly that is mostly from Chris's side but it has also come up a few times on Janet's podcast. As for the difference in jokes between the two he and Andrea dated for a few months compared to seven years with Janet.
  21. I did like that Eddie and Kelly completely got why Jennice was pissed about Andrew saying things like "bitch work" and being "more of a man." A lot of guys, as Andrew clearly didn't, don't understand how that sort of gendered language is disrespectful and can get super annoying, particularly when working in a male dominated field.
  22. But there is a difference, on both LCK and SS the eliminated contestants have been doing challenges consistensntly before they are eliminated which is not the same with Duels where eliminated chefs only do one challenge.
  23. I am convinced that Arkadi is actually Nick Kroll in a wig doing a character.
  24. Two episodes aired tonight, his parents visited in the episode that aired right before this one.
  25. I am assuming this episode was filmed last summer when Aubrey was in London filming the season premiere of Parks in London.
