I agree mom is just trying to make her son a businessman. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear he doesn’t keep a job for long and mom supplements paying his bills. I feel bad for the mom because it seems she was working to take care of both of them. This wasn’t their first flip so I don’t see how he could be incompetent. I completely believe he was at a loss as to what to do when mom wasn’t there. I was not a fan of the bathroom or kitchen and that doesn’t take into account the shoddy work. If you are losing $50k on the flip of a regular middle class California home, when the market is sky high, you probably should stop flipping.

The couple tonight with the Brentwood flip should never flip again. The fact they took out a $2,000,000 and ended up spending $2,600,000 or so to make a $270,000 profit is crazy. I know it’s mostly fake but they could easily have been in the red and you can get better houses for $3,000,000 in Brentwood. The kitchen looked awful. The brown cabinets and backsplash/tile were a mess and don’t even get me started on the black bathroom. I actually thought someone might by the house just to tear it down and rebuild. It happens all the time over there. I have to say I was very distracted by the woman flipper’s hair that seemed to change color each scene. All that being said, I prefer this to flip or flop because I like that Tarek give real tips on flipping that makes it more interesting.

Yes, Jonah passed the other classes but we have no idea if he barely passed or if they were high grades and just his math grade was a problem. I tend to think all the grades were middling to low and the math grade just tanked his GPA. He isn’t going to be kicked out of college for failing a math class twice but he will if he was on academic probation two semesters in a row. Anyone really thing a B+ or above student is being kicked out of college for failing a math class twice? Lots of schools will let you pass with D+ grades. It’s not like he was at MIT or Harvard. Hell, he could have decided to take the class a different semester or during the summer. I have only seen a couple of episodes of this show and I just do not like anyone other than maybe the two youngest. I don’t know the backstory of the family’s issues with Anna but it’s obvious she could cure cancer and they would still find fault within her. She is the family scapegoat. Jonah couldn’t do well at school because he had to drop his siblings, either Anna or the other kids (notice he only focused on taking Anna to school), a couple of times a week when he didn’t have class? Oh poor Jonah, he should be happy he was driving a car. A lot of kids are working full-time jobs, going to school and taking public transportation to get everywhere. I can’t feel bad for him. The parents just annoy me.

I think if Kody had any halfway successful business, outside of being on the show, we would know about it. He would be using the show or twitter or any type of social media for publicity. He has never shown himself to be any type of successful businessman. I think this family jumps around from one MLM to another because all they need is the start-up costs. I think what this family is good at is finding loopholes for credit and mortgages and anything that involves using someone else’s money. My guess is they fill out every credit card application they receive, take out any loan they can find and just move money around. I wouldn’t be surprised if the coyote parcels of land that were bought outright don’t now have mortgages on them. This people have no financial sense whatsoever. What do they do now that the economy is tanking, credit will dry up, TLC will likely start cutting back on waste (this show) to save money and people who buy those ugly leggings and shirts will likely have to stop because they need the money for everyday expenses? What do the Browns then do? They seem to have no backup plan and no work ethic and I don’t see how, without the show, they could afford the mortgage on Robyn’s House, let alone supporting the whole family.

I always thought the anniversary trips with each wife were just unfair but none of the wives realized it. They each get to go on one trip and Kody gets to go on four. I would bet each time they actually go to where he wants to go to please the master. Honestly, I figure Kody probably went on an anniversary trip with Janelle because he wanted to away from the other wives and by wives I mean Christine and Meri. He has no use for Meri other than what he can get for the show or maybe some Luluroe money. Janelle asks for so little, he probably took her on a free trip where all they have to do is sit through a four hour timeshare presentation.

I am with @Tuxcat. I don’t see where Meri ever said she didn’t want the lot, she just needed to think about it because she didn’t want to deal with the darkness of the trees. Kody lost any credibility the minute he started on the poor, sacrificial lamb that is Robyn. From day one she has always had the best of the four wives so his statement is ridiculous. The thing is that whoever is Kody’s favorite wife gets the best goods. Until Robyn came along, it seems Meri was the favorite wife. She had the house that was quiet since she only had Mariah. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kody didn’t want the kids running through their part of the house in Lehi. Robyn comes along and suddenly she is getting the best of everything and, what do you know, Kody spends most of his time with her. There is no possibility of Meri leaving the family unless the show is over. Honestly, they should thank Meri and the Catfish because she is the only person bringing a storyline, however weak it may be. Honestly, I don’t know enough about the kids to care about their getting married and having babies because the show was never centered around the kids. Without Meri, these idiots will have nothing left to film. Also, I swear someone here looked up the deeds for all coyote properties and they were the way they were in Las Vegas with just the wives by themselves or with Kody. I believe a couple of them had three names on them so I don’t see how you expect to put one person on a property without their name on it. What happens if they want to leave but the property with their name on it has another wife’s house on? Do they think about the mess created if one of the wives wants out and no one has enough money to buy out her stake in the property?

I don’t believe Kody is questioning his faith or polygamy. I think he is too self-centered to realize that since most of the children are grown, his wives have a lot of time on their hands and now realize what a crappy life they have being stuck with him. I think the wives are ones questioning polygamy, even if they will not admit it. Other than Janelle, the wives seem too actually be seeking the type of relationship you only get with monogamy. They are likely realizing how much easier it is to have a relationship with someone when they don’t have three other wives.

I meant Robyn likes to re-write history. She didn’t write the book herself but acts like she did. It was nothing more than the same generic drivel written by a ghostwriter for a D-list celebrity. Also, that horrific drawing of her kids and Kody to make it seem like he is their biological father and has been there since birth.

It’s called Becoming Sister Wives and it’s a book by all four of the wives about their marriage and backgrounds. None of them wrote it. Some ghostwriter took what they had to say and did the actually writing. Robin makes it sound like she is JK Rowling or Nora Roberts. She has re-written the story in her head so that she is now a best selling writer the same way she had that horrid picture made of the kids from her first marriage as toddler age with Kody. Also, it’s not hard to make it on the best seller’s list anymore. Lots of people with fans or who have an addenda to push buy up the books in bulk to get it on the best seller list. I could see TLC doing that for the publicity.

Whitney’s old friends may not be trying to capitalize on the show, other than if they receive any type of fee for appearing, but they have real jobs outside the show. They will be fine when the show is over and Whitney will be back living with her parents. She doesn’t cross me as someone who has saved and wisely invested her money. Plus, my guess is she doesn’t make as much as other TLC people since her show isn’t highly rated and I have met only one other person who has ever even heard/watched it. She has no bargaining power and will likely take anything she is offered from TLC. She has no entertainment future when the show is over. Whitney will blame her weight but people like Melissa McCarthy and Lizzo have huge careers but they also have talent. Whitney has yet to show any talent other than embarrassing herself multiple times an episode and not even realizing it.

I think polygamy is becoming harder to justify and, even harder to want to be part of it, when the kids are almost all out of the house. It’s easier when there are a dozen kids running around. The Browns had to all work together to raise, clothe and feed them and didn’t get much time to think about the individual time each wife is spending with Kody as he runs around trying to put out Kody fires. Now, Christine only has a pre-teen and teenager at home and finally realizes what she has been missing. I completely believe she enjoys living in her own home and not having to bow down to whoever is HBIC and finally realizes what she has been missing as a polygamist. Christine came from polygamy and married Kody at 19 I think, she likely only became more of her own person when she lived in her own home without her Sister Wives. I also believe Kody and Robyn are pretty much over each other but she is lead wife and so he spends most of his time with her. I believe they are irritated with each other and Robyn has likely realized the downside to having Kody around all the time. His hyper, me, me, me, behavior is probably exhausting. I think Robyn got the huge house because it’s the type of house Kody wants to live in. Someone else posted that Meri might be lending money to Kody and I could believe that. My guess is these people are cash poor. They may have big houses but every dime from TLC and MLMs are being used to pay for them. I wouldn’t doubt that the properties at coyote pass that were bought outright have already been mortgaged. Meri seems to be the only one who is actually bringing in a steady income since she is higher up the chain at Lulu whatever it’s called.

I have no problem with people getting a degree in social justice or whatever it is if they intend to spend their lives trying to change things for the better for others. We need more people like that. The problem is I don’t see Mariah doing anything to try and change anything for the LGTB community (which I assume is the “plan”) or anyone. She doesn’t post anything about volunteering, going door to door for signatures for some initiative or pretty much anything involving helping others. If she was doing these things she would surely be posting about it since we get almost daily posts of inedible looking food. To me, Mariah isn’t “woke”. She is just mimicking the words of people who are actually sticking their necks out to affect change. She hasn’t done anything reflecting she is actually “woke” it actually gives a flip about anyone else. She reminds me of people who suddenly have a gluten allergy because it’s the new trendy thing and I say this as someone whose coworker has a severe gluten allergy and it irritates me when people co-op a real issue for attention.

Why didn’t they just rent her a scooter at Disneyland, it’s easier than having someone push her? My friend broke her foot right before a pre-paid four day trip to Disneyland and Disney California with her family and friends. She paid $50 to rent a scooter at Disneyland and was able to go to the front of the line on all the rides with her entire party. This was maybe six years ago. It’s different now and I think they give you a fast pass to come back at a certain time. I doubt Ysabel could go on most of the rides after her back surgery anyway. It’s interesting so much of the family, including Meri, is there. I wonder if they were filming. Otherwise, they seem to be spending more time with each other than I would have thought with all the drama going on.

I also think a lot of the emotion is real. It’s obvious the wives don’t like each other and it’s obvious most of those wives seem to be over Kody. If anything, I feel like it’s Kody putting on an act of trying to be all peppy and full of polygamous happiness. You can just feel the misery through the TV. As Social Security was mentioned, I wonder if there is any type of life insurance on Kody for each of the wives should something happen to him. Didn’t Christine marry Kody when she was really young? She likely has never had a job. With no education or job experience I don’t see how she would make it. Janelle at least has a degree, work experience and could go back to work if forced to do so. I actually think Meri would be ok because she has shown herself to be a hustler and she could always live at the B&B or move from one MLM to another. I just assume Robyn would look for another polygamous man and she would be entitled to Kody’s social security. So anyone else think they have already mortgaged the coyote land they purchased outright? I wonder if they also made this move and ridiculous coyote land purchase because they thought some money, other than from the houses, was on its way. Maybe a business deal or something and it fell through. I just can’t see them having much equity in those homes to even begin to fund all these rental homes and property.

I have been thinking about their finances a little too much. I thought TLC paid the money to the Brown’s company and then it was filed out to everyone. TLC has always been known to pay one check to their reality show family’s. I wonder if the Browns use the company as collateral, a co-signer or a guarantor when buying renting or buying the properties since it would have a large income from the single check it receives from TLC. They may also overvalue the company when applying for a loan. Otherwise, I just don’t see how they get loans for properties. I bet they all have a million personal credit cards plus business credit cards. The others may be tired of Meri but they are stuck with her as long as they have a show. Meri is to Sister Wives what Teresa Guidice is to Real Housewives of New Jersey. She is the only one giving them a storyline. Honestly, if Meri hadn’t been catfished, the show would likely have been off the air years ago, they would have lost the homes to foreclosure and Kody and his hair would be running around trying to get another reality show since these people are now allergic to work. I have no problem with Meri having the big house. Everyone wife should have the opportunity to have the same things and, they wouldn’t have those homes if it weren’t for Meri and her catfish shenanigans. Someone needs to sit Kody down and explain to him that the other wives don’t want to live together because when he is with them, they want to be able to pretend they are monogamous family, they are the only wives and only they have kids with Kody.

I wonder if Meri’s house was just rented for the purpose of moving in, being discriminated against and then moving out. Maybe it was an Airbnb. I don’t get that the owner knew what they were all about, would know how her neighbors would react, waited until a neighbor reacted as she knew they would and then decided to kick Meri out. Did the owner pay for the inconvenience of have to move out and find somewhere to store everything? I wouldn’t have walked away from that lease without a few extra thousand dollars and everything I already paid to her upfront but I am bitchy that way. Also, what was Kody so afraid of with the police coming out? They weren’t going to get arrested or abused when they had multiple cameras filming the entire thing for a television show. Even the most out-of-control cop wouldn’t do anything to them in that situation. Kody has the right to not want his kids exposed to people “shacking up” but who don’t want their kids exposed to polygamy have the same right. Maybe the mud pond was created by TLC. What parent, other than a Brown, would allow their kids to play in a prairie dog virus pond? Even if you forget the potential for disease, who would let any of them back in the car? I would have driven off in my clean car alone.

I feel as though I now know why Natalie is divorced. Her ex likely couldn’t take the crazy. My guess is Natalie will be upset at a lot of things Seattle guy does and does not do and will be over the top with her feelings. A lot of yacht models have done some professional modeling working, it just isn’t enough to pay the bills. Where I live, there are so many “models” and “actresses” it’s almost comical. Most have either never had a real job in their preferred or a few minor ones but they all have professional photos just one case. Did anyone see the interview with Michael where he said they are adopting Juliana’s Niece and nephew? All I could think was, so Juliana has kids she is going to try and pass off as someone else’s. Also, I cannot see Michael raising kids that aren’t his blood. I could totally see him reminding him how poor they were before he came along. He sure never lets Juliana forget she was poor. I don’t get the idea that Anna/Mursel and Robert/Anny even particularly like each other, let alone love each other.

I am wondering if Bryson actually lives with granny and Robert is the one who had him twice a month. Maybe that’s why Bryson doesn’t have his own bed. If anything Robert’s place doesn’t even look like a kid, or anyone, lives there. I also don’t understand how Robert has five children as he seems so low energy I cannot imagine him having sex with anyone. I will give Michael and the ex credit, they don’t come off as people who hate each other. They do seem to be completely over each other and it’s basically about the kids. It also seems like Michael really wants his ex wife’s approval. Since I am feeling highly suspicious today. I wonder if the ex is the one who was funding the fancy lifestyle. I also wonder if Michael’s house has packing boxes because he was living with the ex after his divorce and moved to this place once he was cast on the show. I think Mursel is disappointed in the beekeeping exchange program he enrolled in and is counting down the days until the semester is over. I don’t understand being so desperate you will try to form a relationship with a man who is hoping, and pushing, for you to leave your kids and move to Another country. If Anna thinks this trip will make Mursel want to stay with her and be a dad to get kids, she is more delusional than I thought possible. Maybe Tania’s master plan is to leave for a month because Syngin will have forgotten how awful she is while she is gone. This is probably a Tania test and she will leave him with a Syngin-Do list that he must finish to prove his love.

The acting on this show is awful. Anyone else think Lacy was high during this episode? She just seemed stranger than normal. I would bet money that lacy’s Dad and Cheryl’s parents are actually full-time caretakers to their grandkids. I think I may know how Vince feels on a regular basis because I am completely confused. I thought Amber and puppy where savvy criminals. Aren’t they supposed to be able to spot the perfect mark? How are these two so stupid they thought Vince was smart enough to invent a medical device that would make him rich and they could take the money? You only need 30 seconds to realize he does not have that type of capability. Although I completely believe they intended to pull some type of scam, and I believe Vince really is stupid (or the best actor of them all), I think this storyline is BS. I Will also never buy the adoption storyline unless I am wrong and Vince turns out to be a real criminal mastermind who adopted puppy with the intent to use her for some diabolical scam.

Of course MTV will take her back. She is their favorite trainwreck, and to be honest, the only mildly interesting one on this show. If the divorce is real, you know Jenelle will have a new man in record time and then there will be the fighting with David, off camera for him, about the kids and her new man. Barbara will be wailing about the new guy. I am just waiting to see what man jenelle will pull out of the swamp next because each guy gets progressively worse. I will put my money on a guy who has done a long stint in prison.

My guess is that this will play out on the show as Maddie will likely need extra money to pay medical bills which are going to add up no matter how good the insurance, especially since they are looking at years of specialized medical care to help Evie. I wouldn’t blame her if she did the show for the money. I doubt Caleb is making so much money that they won’t have to worry about paying medical bills. People who are making much more than Caleb can end up in debt even with the best insurance. It’s a great idea to say keep this off the show but this money may help Maddie be able to go to every doctor’s appointment, stay with Evie everyday she is in the hospital, take care of her as she recuperates at home instead of trying to get time off and hoping not to get fired for doing so. Maddie may be a SAHM right now, but that may not be possible once the medical bills start adding up. A few years ago, I went to the ER for what turned out to be bad acid reflux. I was there less than four hours and my bill was almost eleven thousand. With insurance I only owed about two thousand. I cannot imagine what the out of pocket expenses are going to be for testing and multiple surgeries.

I feel like Akiniyi doesn’t actually want to marry Ben nor is she trying to get money out of him. I think this is more about somehow sticking it to her family or making them feel sorry for her because she got suckered by the American. She keeps telling Ben to do things she knows will upset her family and the makes him late to the negotiations knowing it would reflect poorly on him. I wonder if Akiniyi is the problem child of the family. The happiest Tom has looked all season was when he was salsa dancing. At no point this season has Darcy looked happy but she didn’t appear happy during her season with Jesse either. I agree with the other posters that Darcy wants to be seen by others to be in love and desired. I can’t see her enjoying just sitting on the couch watching a movie with her man. Honestly, we can talk about Tom being boring (other than the salsa dancing) but Darcy brings exactly zero to the table other than oversized breasts in miniature clothing. She isn’t witty, charming or funny. She is either crying or desperately seeking a man’s attention while quickly becoming drunk. I don’t understand how Rebecca could get Zied a K-1 visa while she is still married to someone else. I also don’t understand how, if you need to have a minimum income requirement for the K-1 visa, Avery will be able to meet the requirement if she is not working while living in Syria. I am not sure I come from the show will be enough when everyone seems to have to have real jobs while on the show in order to survive. If Avery’s Mother sponsors Syrian guy whose name I have already forgotten, she is an idiot.

Although I am sure most of what we see is scripted, or at least re-created, I can completely believe Daniel’s mother hates Lizzie. There has to be more to the story than just that Lizzie drinks and she was with him around the time Daniel was arrested. If Daniel’s mother is acting, she needs an Emmy. I can’t put my finger on why Cheryl looked so different last night. Maybe she had just lost all her “my man is a bank robber” joy. I don’t get balloon girl. I feel like she is always “on” and this is nothing more than an act. Andrea needs to keep the new wig and get rid of la mondre, although i think if he ever actually got out, she would be gone. I also don’t believe for a minute he is sending her money. What would be the point for him to do that? I am starting to wonder if La mondre even knows Andrea exists. For Vince went from being an idiot to being some type of mastermind? I think that maybe Puppy is the master puppeteer. I get that Amber is just out of prison and more likely to put up with Vince’s crap but if my boyfriend lied to his grandmother being with me, we would be done. Not only is he hiding her, he is lying to grandma. Who does that?

I think Janelle uses “digestion” as a sort of catch-all. ABC food will help with digestion, I.e. weight loss, pooping, sleeping and avoiding your sister wives. Hell, maybe her “digestion” would be better if she stuck with eating one way for more then three meals. How does Janelle know something does or doesn’t work if she doesn’t give it a chance? I have bad acid reflux. It was trial and error to figure out what triggered it, when it would trigger, how to offset it before it happened and what I needed to have only in small portions or not in conjunction with something else.

A guy who is dumb enough to think it’s sexy to pose in front of a rack of nail polish dressed like a former member of Color Me Badd, is definitely a guy who is dumb enough to send $40k to a hot woman he has never met. Although I am sure a lot of this is staged by TLC, I do believe Caesar is really that stupid. Also, I think there are very few women, who are not being paid for their services, that would actually want to wear chocolate panties. Not sure why Caesar would think any woman would find that appealing. What happened to trashy lingerie?
