I understand what you are saying. Similar experience yet different. Sweet Son was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer end of August 2019. We live close enough to be there regularly. As he got sicker we were there more. Then in March, 2020 he texted me when I was at the gym. He said "You can't go there anymore, there is a virus and I need you to take care of me". I said goodbye to the gym and eventually we moved in with him and his husband to stay mostly. We were of course isolated because of COVID and him terrified of US getting it, not him. As something that was positive, he wanted to do some things, but was getting too sick, and I said, even if you were healthy, we couldn't do those things anyway right now. So he didn't feel like his sickness was preventing it. It was, but still... Some "special" people came and masked and distanced. And towards the end, he wanted his brother, (who lives across the country and had visited) and the family got there two days before he died. It was still COVID and awful. So, I do understand the misery of it all. And you are right about "Kenny Bobbity" who is an awful human being. Or, a human being behaving awfully. 💔

Meet the Parents: Gil and Kelly Jo Bates

Good opportunity for the chad paines to take residence -
Do we think this will really happen? Or will he bypass all that and just say "we are using it", or he won't care because it will be his afterwards anyway so the US is making it better for his personal use later. Lose/lose

I see the Lincoln Project videos but lately have been passing on them. We know the situation. Waiting for something to break into actually doing something than posting. Our group calls it "handwringing"

I often wonder why trump for the most part (hate to say "always") says "It's not up to me" or some variation of not my fault not my problem I'm not responsible." Is he not the president? He deflects anything and everything he either doesn't understand or can't explain. I don't think "whataboutism" would work here.

I used to tell Sweet Son that there are a lot of "right ways" to do things. I guess all our families are a little bit same a little bit different. As long as it works for the family in general, to me that is the "right way". We all don't have to do things the same way.

May I confess that when Sweet Son and his older brother were growing up I sort of did that too. I got them out of their room at a reasonable time and then they went back in their room after lunch to either play or nap - Sweet Son always fell asleep. His older brother played with match box cars. I did this til they were in school all day, most days, unless we were out and about. But, back in the day it was me and their stroller for the out and about. I remember thinking I had to be rested and they were better as in happier and not bickering as much for the rest of the day if they had that quiet time. They got used to it. It wasn't a punishment. I was a married single mother because Ex Dr lookeyloo was rarely ever home. Back in those days internship and residency were 36 on and 12 off. I don't think this is such a terrible thing, among the other neglectful things she does especially regarding education as far as we know, with her home schooling? Maybe there is more to it. We don't know.

Oh lordy. Michelle Obama encouraged all this and was vilified.

I just had to say - this rings a bell with me. I was raised in NJ and lived for 5 years in Brooklyn. Then the ex was sent to Warner Robins, GA for two years in the military. 1970-72. My accent! Interestingly, the other wives I hung with were from the northeast too. Everywhere we went it was "You're not from here, are you?" We were tickled by the southern accent. Then moved to California for three years, sort of blended in. Then to Baton Rouge for over 40 years and my accent got less. I would go back to NJ over the years and family would say "You talk so southern" and for a while still got "You're not from here, are you?". But Baton Rouge population increased a lot with people from all over, so less noticeable. Now live back in metro Atlanta and it is very diverse and no one cares or notices anymore. Lots of different accents of varying degrees, and languages. I love a richly diverse area to live in.

Agree. I lost a brother to suicide and Sweet Son to cancer. The future is always uncertain.- 95 replies

More speculation - the DA office wasn't happy with him and said we will let you resign.

I agree with your caveat!!

Yes that is true, and there are lawsuits but in the meanwhile things are disrupted maybe never to go back. And when people "disobey" and they are gone after, it is expensive and scary to have to hire lawyers and defend oneself even if one will surely win in court unless the judge is targeted too. Then a settlement that never should have been needed in the first place. These are all disrupters in my opinion for what it's worth.

Thank you! Either I have had too much wine or not enough!

Are they part of Smari-scam?

And where has "Day-Un" been? Sol also looks like he doesn't like the cameras in his face. Maybe he got his gift in private. Or valentines is for girls?

And the film crew was right there filming it all. "Take 3 - Kody this time sit here and tell Robyn blah blah"

All the people in those shows are willing paid participants.

If they are actually reported

Agree. My brother killed himself in 2002. I wouldn't want his life to be not talked about and also hope it is done tastefully. Garrison is part of a family and this is a family story, such that it is. I am not "triggered" by this into a depression. It is very sad for sure.

Totally agree. These are "scripted reality" shows. would be more fun to put a GoPro on them and see things unedited. We'd all fall asleep except for periodic Kody outbursts.

I wonder if the billionaires want to play nice so they are first in line to buy up...federal land, farms when farmers go bust, small businesses they want, consolidate businesses, avoid regulations of anything, etc. They will probably need some kind of approval? Or am I way off base.
