totally agree with it all, and particularly this. He is the best, highest, most, etc. (according to him) and takes responsibility for nothing. I have to give it to him - he has a certain talent for getting people sucked in.
-
Well tRump is never responsible for anything as he will always say. Highest ratings ever. Not my fault/responsibility etc. Harry Truman of "the buck stops here" would have a thing or two to say.
-
And somehow it will be Biden's fault.

Live With Kelly And Mark - General Discussion

Except around here the choices are Fox News or HGTV -
Here is a story about a dog show. When we had our GSD there was a real dog show at LSU. We lived very close. We left our dog at home, for obvious reasons, and went and saw the show GSDs. Very different look than ours, who did have papers. Anyway, we must have looked goofy and desperate to pet a dog, and one of the handlers gave us the leash to a dog named "Victor" and asked could we let him go do something. Can't remember. Well, Victor was very well behaved and paid us no attention. We were afraid to even pet him because he was so well groomed and standing in his pose. Very beautiful dog. Then we came back home to our lovely dog and said "wow, he is no show dog" but we loved him very much. He lived to be almost 13.

We also had 4 cats at the same time as the GSD. The cat hair was "amateur" compared to the dog. Was manageable before the dog. But, loved all those pets and all that vacuuming etc. was worth it.
-
Indeed on both. We got it when we had our German Shepherd Dog. Great dog. So much fur!!!! Worth it though.
-
I did that recently too! Love it! I also have the original purple Dyson for over 20 years, still going strong, use it sometimes but the new one almost makes vacuuming fun. We have a mix of carpet and hardwood and some rugs. Does great on all of them. No shag.

Well, there is that "off" button! (where is the emoji for wink wink!) -
I lived in Louisiana over 40 years before moving at the end of 2015. The "corn pone" thing is an act. Not a fan.
-
Maybe so, but I thought that's why he was put in there in the first place, to tear things apart and then some of his companies who run private services would benefit?

I am thinking go buy four keys. they are relatively inexpensive. Don't need to get them matched to another key. Get a key ring that feels comfortable and just keep those keys handy as a weapon. I can't remember the last time I went out after dark, by myself.
-
I saw that and wonder why. He is relatively young and in the middle of his 10 year plan. Maybe illness? Musk hired him?

I have always thought (and said here) that it isn't just being primaried. "They" can make life miserable for people in a lot of different ways. And, not to rehash Kathy Griffin's obvious tasteless photo, she didn't commit any crimes except for poor taste and after all was said and done but she was harassed for years just to torment her. Don't want to rehash that argument but it is what will happen to dissenters, IMO. Also the SAVE Act is still out there. https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/02/13/save-act-women-voting/

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore

regarding medical costs, remember back when stephen brill did a big article in Newsweek about the charge master that hospital billing uses. And that we were told to "shop around" because there are lower prices to be had. Because that is easy to navigate, with who is in network, out of network, what does the fee include. People in crisis or stress have all the time and mental bandwidth to do this. Imagine a heart attack in a family. One person says call 911 and the other folks say, wait let me call around to the one with the best rates and see if our doctors are in network. And sometimes the best hospitals for a condition are the most expensive. One of my friends was being treated at MD Anderson and they left her in the hall before her treatment until they could be sure her insurance would cover the treatment. Who knows if Christine tried any of shopping around or found what she thought was the best option for Ysabel. I am not a big fan of any of them and yes they should have had insurance but even then it is not that simple. -
Agree with most of upthread posters. I don't believe that one or some people can go into any agency and figure in a nano second that the whole operation is fraud and waste. I worked in a state agency where I administered a federal formula grant program. You can bet that I and my coworkers did our best because we were audited regularly and didn't want to have even anything to correct. I don't think we were all that special. My peers in other states were the same way. edited to add that we had all kinds of written rules to follow regarding spending and program outcomes. Nothing was "willy nilly"

I think we should stay alert to this https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/02/13/save-act-women-voting/

I just read Heather Cox Richardson and now I wonder if Musk has some power over tRump who seemed powerless at that strange press thing and is now just a bystander?

I am 81. I did read all the Nancy Drew, Bobbsey Twins, even Hardy Boys available to me(I think most of them were by the same author). My favorites were Taffy's Foal and Baby Island. They weren't part of any series. I had total access to our library - my mother thought reading anything was better than not reading, and when I graduated to my adult card I had no limits. My mother and I sometimes read the same books and a lot of that went over my head, but, I was still reading something.https://www.amazon.com/Taffys-Foal-Elisa-Bialk/dp/B0006ARXOA https://archive.org/details/babyisland0000brin

I keep saying they have been intimidated into cooperating. I only have second hand word on this but why else? Primaried is one thing - threats are another.
-
I didn't say death threats. There are other kinds of threats. No fly lists, IRS audits, going behind the scenes to family work and schools to cause trouble. This isn't unheard of.
-
I think from what I have heard that they are afraid of more than being primaried. There have been threats according to a Democrat who was on the Lawrence O'Donnell show on msnbc. I didn't watch but my brother did.
