  1. I did not hear whatever the judges were hearing. I wouldn’t listen to her sing for free on the radio much less pay for her music.
  2. I was laughing so hard at the unfortunate first toss-up puzzle that Paul Reubens solved: U can’t touch this. Did anyone else think of his arrest in the movie theater many years ago? I wonder if Joel Hale cracked a joke about that and set off the animosity between them?
  3. I don’t understand the favor Mambo Marie left for Lilith. Is the little statue going to turn into her son?
  4. Aw, I’ll miss AJ. And WHY was Gleb there? Trying to save his reputation after his wife is divorcing him for cheating?
  5. I kinda love the judges deciding between the bottom 2. Too bad they didn’t come up with that when Sean Spicer or Bobby Bones were there!
  6. Too many singers! Yawn Broken Roots: singing duo Brandon Leake: spoken word artist Archie Williams: singer Roberta Battaglia: singer Alan Silva: aerialist Christina Rae: singer Kenadi Dobbs: singer Daneliya Tuleshova: singer Bello Sisters: acrobatic sisters BAD Salsa: dance duo
  7. I miss Tom terribly, but I don’t miss the audience at all. I hate it when Artem’s partner is someone I can’t stand. It takes away from the enjoyment of watching him. I don’t even know who Kaiylyn Bristow is, but she looked better as a brunette in her intro package.
  8. Maybe it was my mood tonight, but nobody wowed me.
  9. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone completely tank the final Match. That was bizarre. You’ve got to think about who is being polled. The Match Game audience is probably not going to come up with Cross Fit. Cross word made the most sense. The Celebrity panel was really funny last night, and the other contestant who worked at the DMV seemed quick on his feet too. Too bad he didn’t make it to the Final.
  10. Watching Spike Lee refer to Trump as “Agent Orange” repeatedly made today’s show totally worth it for me.
  11. I have never FFed through an episode of Queer Eye until this one. I appreciate that this girl is trying to do something with her privilege, but I found her story uncompelling and boring. Please, whoever chooses the recipients of the makeovers, stick with the formula of finding people who need a break in life, who need an extra boost to overcome obstacles, because this story was not inspiring at all.
  12. I just finished Tyreek’s episode. I loved him and was so happy that he’s built a sense of “home” and “family” out of all the obstacles he’s lived through. I am so worried about how he’s making it through the recession and unrest, considering he himself was worried about having a security net in the face of a future setback. Has anyone seen any update on how he is doing?
  13. He’s been married to his second wife since 2012. Is that considered “so many” these days?
  14. Regarding the homeless choir, Voices from the City, if you look at them strictly on singing ability, no, they were not great. If, however, you view them as performance art, as a spotlight shining on people who are usually ignored and marginalized, it was brilliant. I loved seeing these people being acknowledged and heard.
  15. Mrs. Bugg smothered him with a pillow. But that wasn't right. King Louis gave her one of his "rare exotic oranges that no one else has" when she first arrived. After he took 30 seconds to complete the deed, she made sure to snatch the orange he already gave her as she walked out with her head held high. No one would help themselves to anything in the king's chambers.
  16. I totally expected to see mostly guys go through tonight. The only female I think is strong enough to win is Sam. I’m surprised Julia made it. Both of her songs sounded off. Not a good night for her. But really, next week is already the “finale” of this season. The whole thing seems pointless.
  17. That was gut wrenching. And on top of the expected misery and pathos, we have Roger and poor Marsali dealing with the aftermath of their actions as well. Very well done, but hard to watch. I may have to wait a few weeks before I can rewatch. I did love seeing everyone in the 60s, even though you knew that was Claire’s way of dealing with the horror. ETA: I will never hear that song the same way again.
  18. I can’t even talk about Claire yet—need time. I was amused that she was putting back a dislocated shoulder, though. What do we think happened to Brianna and Roger? Did they end up in the wrong time? They’re not supposed to go back till after Mandy was born, so was this a failed attempt? Ian is breaking my heart.
  19. Yeah, there were a lot of tragic false eyelashes last night. Mikayla looked like she couldn’t even open one of her eyes all the way. Less is more!
  20. Going from 20 to 10 in one week is going to be tough. There are about 5 that I would have no problem never seeing again, but of the remaining 15? I don’t know how I would pick. It will come down to the usual popularity contest, I suppose. I usually don’t have a lot of patience with Katie’s antics, but damn, that hand sanitizer outfit had me giggling all night.
  21. Like Roger, I’m kinda speechless. This episode was haunting and beautiful. I thought bringing Ian back early so he and Roger could work through their issues together was perfect. The biggest revelation for me was Sophie Skelton’s voice. Loved it.
  22. My first thought when the Alglaeca spell didn’t work was that Ryan isn’t really Nancy’s father. Is there proof? Didn’t the hair test link her to Lucy Sable? Is it possible someone else fathered Nancy? Ryan figuring out who Nancy is from that tiny picture in the locket seemed far fetched. Bess was gorgeous in her party dress.
  23. Of all the horrible things that happen in the Outlander universe, this episode was one of the worst, in my opinion. I need to process the dark. And aside from the obvious horrors, seeing Jaime as a redcoat was so disturbing. My skin was crawling just watching him On the lighter side, Jamie and Claire’s birthday sex was a nice return to their connection, and seeing Graham McTavish again was a fun surprise, even if he was portraying an awful person. ETA: Jamie in the river praying for Dougal’s guidance in battle should have been a huge anvil dropping about the reappearance of Graham McT. In hindsight I totally see it, but at the time it went right over my head.
  24. They got rid of a lot of oversingers last night—people who seem to have good voices but just overdid it and seemed forced and desperate. The people with the debilitating nerves have to get it together. If singing in front of people makes you that nervous, then this probably isn’t what you should be doing. Find another outlet for your talent.
  25. Sorry, Phillip Wylie, but your magnificent horse is a Friesian, not Arabian. Outlander uses those beautiful beasts constantly. I know they probably go with the horses that are available, but then at least adjust the writing to reflect that. And I know it followed the book, but that sex scene between Jamie and Claire was just meh. When he told her to look down and watch, all I could think was that she couldn’t see anything past all those skirts, lol. What a betraying little weasel Forbes is! Did not see that coming.
