  1. Interview with Spencer and Dani. Spencer revealed that at the time he filmed the show, he was in a toxic relationship with a person, and that he was recovering from cancer. Well, that explains so much about his reaction to Dalgona. You could tell he had serious stuff going on. He looks much healthier now, thank god.
  2. See, it reminded me a lot of Anna Delvey. She herself came from a very respectable upper middle class background with a family that could pay to send her to prestigious universities and designer clothes, but she felt the need to lie about being the heiress of an aristocratic family. It was kind of hilarious when Felix drives up to the house and he goes, "Wow, your mother must have gotten herself together because your house is quite lovely!" LOL Dude, that wasn't a council estate and you're kinda slow on the uptake here. LOL I was in full college party hopping mode in 2005-2009 so I know a lot of that music like the back of my hand. It kind of drag me out of the immersion of 2006, but they generally did a really job with the styling especially on Felix. I did think the swimshorts weren't really period- guys generally wore much longer shorts- but maybe then I remember that they were British, not American.
  3. Yeah. I did enjoy it, but I get why people don't. I was in a movie theater with people who started laughing at how ridiculous everything was, so I think that helped me enjoy it more. Also, "Murder on the Dance Floor" is one of my favorite songs do yeah. I did get annoyed at the anachronistic references to "Superbad" and "Apple Bottom Jeans" songs that are '07, but they did a generally good job of capturing the '05-'06 vibes. I did think it was funny to see Oliver actually play poor when he actually came from a pretty respectable background. Not Saltburn rich or anything, but he had a decent amount of his own privilege.
  4. I mean, really- if you were thinking this show was really rigged, the final 3 should dispel you of any notions because none of them are fan favorites in the slightest. I mean, I don't actively hate them, but all pretty much played under the radar and none of them got a "winner's" edit. At this point I'm rooting for 51. Mai refusing to admit she eliminated Roland when she really had no reason to lie was pretty annoying.
  5. At the rate they were going I was shocked Mai made it across the bridge.
  6. Again, he's the reason why I don't think they're rigging the eliminations, because producers absolutely would have wanted to keep him.
  7. It's pretty true. One time an MTV reality show called Made showed up at our high school, and we definitely figured out how to mug in an attempt to get camera time.
  8. Yeah, in all honesty I wouldn't say I'm Rachel Zegler's biggest fan, but the way people act, it's like she is the anti-Christ or something. It's really ridiculous.
  9. Hey, Rachel Zegler haters who said the new Hunger Games movie would flop because of her, y'all can go ahead and kiss her grits!
  10. I was interested in how it seemed like he definitely had allies (the young black women who were clinging to him) but we didn't get to see any of that. Of course, there are so many people here at this point things have to get cut.
  11. I think the talking heads and the big "speeches" are scripted, but I don't think the actual outcomes are rigged. If they were, this show would have had 432 last much longer than he did because he was pretty much set up as the main antagonist. I'm still holding my breath waiting for some Big Brother chicanery to come out and see eliminated "favorites" return to the Game. Really hoping they don't do that, though. Since Blond Shaggy Dog didn't get marbles, I wonder if that means he was automatically advanced to the next round? That would be pretty funny and probably piss off a lot of the remaining players. LOL
  12. I was surprised at how serious the tone was, though- I really thought it'd be like the Mr. Beast Squid Game where everyone was just having fun. I kind of expected The Floor Is Lava Meets Squid Game. Poor, poor Spencer.
  13. Switching it out for Battleship was a great idea! I loved watching it.
  14. I'm kind of surprised Trey and Leann fell for it. They've been smarter than this.
  15. I legitimately think Xolo is set for a pretty dang prolific career. He just hits the bullet points of modern celebrity so well. It was simple, kept the stakes local, and you cared about the characters. Something a lot of bloated movies pass over.
  16. They might as well just cancel it and go back to the drawing board. The Meeks twins are not enough of a draw to center a movie around.
  17. An analysis of Sydney Sweeney and the general attitude towards the blonde bombshell type: Basically, the idea that for Sydney Sweeney to advance, she needs a lead "ugly" part.
  18. I feel like after 13 years, the memory of Marty would have been a nice pleasant fuzzy memory of a nice guy she didn't have chemistry with who helped her get with George. I would struggle to even remember what he looked like given they didn't take any pictures of him.
  19. Which is why they should have cast an older woman as Josephine (say Marion Cotillard or Rachel Weiz) instead of a 30-something. Supposedly they originally cast Jodie Coomer, who would have been 29 when they filmed. We still have a woman about 15 years younger than Joaquin, which is not what the dynamic was at all between Josephine and Napoleon.
  20. I just realized that an Officer and A Gentlemen wouldn't get made now because the zeitgeist is against women dreaming of marrying a man who can whisk her away into life better than what her dead end small town can offer. Although I guess they could always try a gender flip like Overboard did?
  21. He's a really good grifter. You can buy people being taken in by those big brown puppie dog eyes. Kind of a shame Costa D'Angelo is being used as a short-term Big Bad but I bet he'll get some offers. Dude definitely has the looks and charisma, yet in a distinctive, non cookie cutter way. And Therese's delighted grin when Andrew came in was great. Finally, I loved the continuing fallout over JJ's paternity. Sometimes kids that were conceived using sperm donors can be okay with never meeting the donor, and sometimes they need to know. I do think that regardless JJ will look to Andrew as a male role model despite him not being the actual father.
  22. They seem to be REALLY trying to hide that this is a musical. I think that could backfire pretty badly.
  23. I liked it a lot. Slice of life movies about people that act like real people are my jam. I especially like how you see the three become a defacto family for those few days before real life resumes. I bought that Paul was willing to sacrifice himself to save Angus, because at the end of the day he wasn't happy with his job. I loved that Angus didn't get some love story plot because his real story was about accepting that his father is never getting any better. We also didn't get a sappy moment where Angus's mother and stepfather assure a crying Angus that they love him. Finally the scene where Mary starts putting her son's baby clothes in her niece/nephew to be's dresser, clothes she had likely packed away for grandchildren she will never have, was so touching. All these people were dealing with grief in some way- the searing loss of a child, the loss of a parent to mental illness, and the loss of an impressive academic career due to a cheating scandal decades earlier. You get to see all three finally move forward.
  24. I'm really glad it's a musical and not a straightforward remake. It's what they should have done with Heathers.
