  1. "But Sansa's never gonna be doing that. Her weapon is her mind. Her intellect. She's a sharp one." *face-palm*
  2. Re: Sansa & Theon in the stream. Could be cgi, could be they are wearing dry suits underneath, could be set tricks, could be they found one of Iceland's notorious hot springs (or was this filmed in Ireland?)
  3. Even without the books, just looking at the series, the first lasting impression we get of Jon & Arya is when she leaps staight into his arms and straddles him. Talk about being shown a gun in the first act. That said, I would fully expect this to be one of GRRM's bittersweet endings
  4. I know what you mean, though. One idea that came to mind was a Jon Snow shadow baby going back into his body ... but that's just so gross. As long as she's not going to fuck Ghost ... That probably is a result of the fight in the trailer.
  5. An oldie: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in the 2004 movie, Wimbledon. HBO's been running it.
  6. Ultimately, I'm hoping / expecting to see Baelish betrayed by Sansa in the end.
  7. Although not in a romantic sense, we have seen how important they are to each other. Pink Letter, anyone? Jon was talked out leaving the NW for Ned's sake, but for Arya? Different matter.
  8. Agreed, pretty much. I am leaning towards Jon & Dany for the foiler wedding, nonetheless. Politically, it makes more sense than anything, they'll look stunning together, and it doesn't have to be a love match for either of them.
  9. I think there is a specific group Sansa fans who accept it as a possibility because they're shipping Jon/Sansa. The rest of us, otoh ...
  10. Saw this in a trailer prior to Vinyl However http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2016/02/game-of-thrones-posters-back-from-the-dead
  11. I loved the series, even though I had to go foraging through Torrent sites to get the second half, after History Channel dropped it. I'd never read the book, and now I'm going to! Paul Dano was great as Pierre — what a gifted actor. James Horton, Tom Burke -- *swoons* ... Lily James was lovely and did fine, although her true youth doesn't really come across, early on.
  12. Bean has already been playing someone 10 years younger than he is. Why not set it back another 16? There is make-up. And lipo.
  13. Sorry, that should have been "Frank FED"
  14. I read an article where a book reviewer (?) described NP's early works as "stridently moral." Frank really had Ray's number, all along. When dealing with Gena's rape, just because Ray took out the wrong guy doesn't mean he was innocent. Just because Ray FED him the info, didn't make him innocent. And funally, when the slate between Ray and Frank was clear, Frank offered him one last temptation, and Ray took it. Frank and Ray both could have gone south and lived like kings, but their final choiced doomed them.
  15. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/rick-springfield-responds-to-criticism-of-true-detective-season-2_55c24273e4b0d9b28f051c50 HuffPo has an interview with Rick Springfiled. Interesting quote:
  16. I cannot begin to fathom why people who so dislike a show insist on watching. Have they nothing else to do on a Sunday evening, besides pick at scabs?
  17. Yes! and so much of the criticisms are petty as all hell. It's as if people can't forgive S2 for not having Woody, Mc, & Fukunaga on board. I think we can all agree TD2's biggest flaw was that it tried to cram too much in: Ray's divorce, relationship with his son and the beginnings of that mess; Frank and Jordan's marital stability; Frank and the Russians; Frank and the Mexicans; Ani's sexual abuse; Ani's relationship with her dad & sister; Ani's one night stands at work ... all that without even bringing Caspere and the land deal and the diamonds into the picture. But, as the Thin White Duke would say, "better to fail brilliantly than succeed with mediocrity."
  18. Because of the Antigone story I was already resigned to Ray's fate; that it would be left to her to clear his name was as predictable as the notion that the reporter Ray beat up would be brought back in. But OW. I did want him to live. OW. I did want Halloway's confession to become a #1 hit YouTube single. Smashing the recorder was just mean on NP's part. The baby? Okay, cheese, but at least he'll have left one kid whose mom won't spend his whole life, handing him a head trip. Chad bringing the shield paperweight to school is also cheese, but if Ray's name and pic was all over the news, maybe he needed to have it near.
  19. I'm open to the idea Paul is alive, I'm just not holding my breath.
  20. I think Ani and Ray are both scared for their lives, and I think if you ever find yourself on the way to the emergency room with chest pains, or something related, you may gain some understanding about the cliche of people getting it on when they are that frightened. Oh, Paul. You were so badass until you forgot to look behind that one little door. I will miss your constipated face. Ani's journey as a sexual abuse victim who goes from anger to resignation is a story in itself, and I'd like to give NP points for that exchange, but I can very well understand why so many people have been frustrated about it being convoluted into the main mystery via Daddy's camp. If I were Ray right now, I'd be paying a visit to a certain newspaper reporter ... if said reporter wasn't too frightened off the story.
  21. What about all the info about Rheagar believing all the prophesies? And Aerys, possibly right along with him? If they both believed Lyanna was carrying TPTWP, that's reason enough to allow three KG out of the city to protect them. Bran's an option. Seeing as though most of the watching world has been clued in, wouldn't the best way to make it remain dramatic for viewing, is to watch it unfold for someone who's going to be surprised, on our behalf? Jon would be the first choice, but how is he going to find out, isolated in the North? Unless he outright bumps into Howland Reed, I don't see that happening. GRRM has gone on record that H Reed will make an appearance by series end, but I don't think it was specified whether or not that would be in flashback. If flashback, Bran is the most likely.
  22. On second watch, I don't mind the orgy house music. Not sure I could have kept a straight face without it, in retrospect.
