It looked to me like Christine was agreeing to what she needed to to get Kody to leave. It won't hold up in court. Kody could probably keep Christine from taking Truely to Utah if he really wanted to. Judges don't usually allow a parent to just leave with the state with a child against the other parent's wishes. But I doubt Kody will fight it in court by spending actual money. Kody thought Christine would be like Meri, because Meri was always braver/pushier than Christine and Meri is hanging around pathetically begging for Kody's attention. He didn't think she would actually leave, and didn't prepare for what to do if she did. I deleted it from my DVR and don't have the energy to go back and look. When Kody was going on about Christine getting another boyfriend/husband, did Kody mention Truely's physical safety with a strange man in the house, or was it all about the money Kody would lose? I don't remember Kody being worried about Truely or Truely's well being, but I could have missed it. That conversation went on forever and I started to glaze over mentally. Not once did Kody say I LOVE YOU and I want to work this out. Not once. Christine is right to get out of there. And Kody kept bringing up the kids, but it sounded like 3 of their kids together were already in Utah when this was filmed?

Robyn Brown: She wanted the family, but got stuck with the man.
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Going only by what we've been shown, it looks to me like Robyn has serious issues with organization, disciplining kids, and time management. She can't seem to control Ariella at all, she can't pack in a timely manner or organize the massive amount of stuff in her new house, and she can't get to bed at a decent hour so she can get moving in the morning. But at the same time, she's over-controlling the kids. It has to be a nightmare to watch and live in. As much as Kody now hates Christine, I bet there are some comparisons that have been made between how Christine handled a household and how Robyn handles it. While far from perfect, Christine was basically providing full time care for 12 kids at one point. Robyn can't control one preschooler. -
Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Christine leaving saved the show and gave them another 2 seasons worth of material. And Christine won't stop filming just because she left. She needs the money just as badly as they do, plus it helps them build the fan base that buys from their MLM schemes. The others probably celebrated when Christine announced she was going. They were likely on the verge of cancellation. -
Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I think Meri and Robyn occasionally talk on the phone and I think Meri comes over for the kids birthdays. Other than that, I doubt they see each other when the show is not filming. I think Kody and Robyn are living in a fully monogamous marriage. I don't think Kody sees Janelle outside of filming and the occasional visit with Savannah. I don't think he sees Meri at all. I think it's been this way for quite a while, and Christine got tired of it and left. I don't think Janelle cares about having a real marriage, so she "stays" and lets this farce go on. The fits Kody throws are all about ego. He is not in pain. He doesn't give a rat's ass about his relationship with Christine. He's upset about the collapse of his empire. -

Did TLC cut their marketing budget? The backgrounds on those pictures look as fake as the fake backgrounds on Zoom calls.

Gwen has Kody's hair line and the same shaped head that he does. Ysabel is a total clone of Christine in the shape of her face and nose. By comparison, none of Robyn's kids seem to look like her.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
None of Kody's outbursts mean anything, because he doesn't love Christine and hasn't for a long time. And she knows it, which is why she gives him the blank-eyed stare when he rants and raves. I just hope Truely is okay. I am glad she is at least living close to her sisters. I am super curious what Christine offered up to get Kody to let her take Truely to Utah. I can see Kody fighting that out of spite. -
Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I think Kody is a divorced and remarried man who is more interested in his new family than interacting with his ex-wives or adult children. It's a totally common thing in many families where the parents divorce, remarry, and have a new spouse and new kids. The only thing the Browns cling to as unique is that Kody made kids with 3 women at the same time. And even that isn't all that unique. Mykelti seems to visit Kody and Robyn. I hope he has a better relationship with some of his adult kids than we are shown. I think his supposed marriage to Janelle is a total fabrication for the cameras. And I think he likely only sees Meri one day a year, to film what appears to be their awkward annual "date". And I don't really put any of this on Robyn. Kody made choices. I don't think Robyn even wants Kody around full time, but she does want total control of the situation. I think Kody is very high maintenance in the house and likely doesn't help with her kids any more than he helped with any of the others. -
The two of them deserve each other and whatever they get. They both got reality show money out of the deal. I just hope The Family Chantel doesn't try to continue without the marriage, because the rest of the family is boring. I mostly fast forward through their scenes at this point. I am upset that it appears they just left the cat alone in the house though. That cat is the best living being in that family.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
They had to provide for 17 people because despite Janelle supposedly working 12 hours a day and Christine supposedly being miserable being confined to child care and living in the basement, they both continued to pop out kid after kid. It kills me to be on Meri's side, but she only had one kid, and it wasn't her responsibility to look after the 12 kids that Janelle and Christine and Kody decided to bring into the world when they had limited funds and no health insurance. I get tired of the poor me act from Janelle and Christine sometimes. They contributed to their own situations. Honestly, I don't think Janelle wanted to raise her own kids on a daily basis, so she worked to avoid it. -
The divorce is real. You can Google it and see in the news. However, I still suspect some of the scenes were staged after the divorce was already taking place. Especially the whole thing with Pedro's mother and Chantel going to the DR to talk to her. I think that whole part was scripted. Even Chantel isn't dumb enough to think that would help anything or bother to spend the money on the plane ticket on her own.

Ya know, if I was going to go ahead and choose a new name for myself, it wouldn't be Leon. In addition to how they dress and groom themselves, it seems like they chose an off-beat name as well. And there are so many cool names to choose from. I'm curious where they got Leon. Leon means Lion, but they are certainly not coming across like a lion. The whole situation is perplexing. Also, Meri was in Denver with what she tries to pass off as friends, but I didn't see any pictures of her with Leon, or any mention of visiting Leon.

Did anyone else notice what Dabsark letters spell? Dayton, Aurora, Breana, Solomon, Ariella, Robyn, and Kody. Isn't that a message to the other wives and kids??

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I think Truely's outfit is cute. And it shows she can take a really nice picture, and that her siblings and mother can stop posting horrible pictures of her on Instagram. -
I have been to those, dressed up, and had a blast. They are usually filled with fun, accepting people looking to enjoy their favorite hobby and fandom. I hope Mykelti's babies are okay. She seems like a good mom. I'm glad Christine will be around to help, as 3 kids is a lot.

Meh, I watch it. It's entertainment, the same as any other television show or movie. Some of it is real, and some is staged or exaggerated for drama. I don't think there is any shame in watching reality television, or this show in particular. I'd even buy the products from their MLMs if the products were actually any good. What I don't understand is why anyone wants to sell their divorce on television for others to gawk at. I won't even post much of my private life on Facebook, where only my friends can see it. The Browns are total famewhores. And Kody seems to be playing it up for the cameras with his rants and breakdowns.

I think Kody and Robyn are in a monogamous marriage. I think Kody sees Janelle and Meri when they are filming and maybe for the occasional holiday, and I think he visits with Savannah. These people are not living polygamy anymore. I think Robyn and Meri are semi-friends, and Janelle and Christine are very close friends. I doubt Janelle ever sees Robyn or Meri outside of filming.

The problem with Kody's rant about Christine is that everyone, including his own kids, know that Kody does not currently love Christine, and possibly never really loved Christine. Personally, I think Kody's anger is more about power and putting on a show. It's a hit to his ego that one of his wives has the balls to walk away. As much as he complains, I think Kody gets off on having Meri stick around and desperately try to get him back. The whole situation is sad, and it's very telling that not a single Brown offspring wants to live polygamy.

Ysabel favors Christine, with the same nose, mouth, etc. So Ysabel is going to age just like Christine. And Maddie looks fine when she fixes herself up.

Doesn't Plexus have caffeine in it? I hope she gives the kids regular water as well. When I was dehydrated, my doctor stressed to me that nothing else is as good as just plain water. All those other water-type drinks have stuff in them in you don't need. For example, vitamin water is full of sugar. I hope Maddie is at least trying to eat healthy while she's pregnant.

I would bet money that Janelle will eventually move closer to Maddie and live local to her and help with the kids. Just a guess, based on how often we see Janelle with Maddie and how NOT often we see her with Kody.

Amber: A Rill Woman Goes to Gel
Kellyee replied to David T. Cole's topic in Teen Mom: The Next Chapter
They're not teen mothers anymore. Aren't they all pushing 30 years old?? At this point, most of the original "girls" are just uneducated, low-level reality "stars" who have done very little with all the money and opportunity they were given. -

Leah would make a better guardian for James than Amber or Andrew. As bad as Amber is, Andrew impregnated a woman he had been dating for 5 minutes and then willingly came to Indiana to start his new job as an unemployed couch potato. And he did this after he saw her psychotic behavior on another reality show that he was helping to film. She's an asshole, but he's a loser too. -

I stopped watching this train wreck a while ago, but from other friends who are divorced, I know it is really hard to take your kid out of state to live without permission from the other parent. Is Amber really still that bad? Was she showing up for her visitations with James? I don't like Amber or Andrew much at all, but I'm surprised the judge gave permission for this. Just from other people I know who have tried to do the same thing.
