They do seem desperate to be in with what's trendy, which contradicts their diatribe about being themselves. Denver is the new "in" place to live, so there they are. I suspect the cost of living will be too expensive long term though. My friend's little brother just moved back to California because rents in Denver keep going up and he can't afford it. His income is possibly similar to what I would imagine Leon and Audrey are making.

Amy did an interview with The Sun recently. Do they pay for interviews?

On a totally shallow note, the shorts Leon is wearing in the photo with the trans announcement are very unfortunate and not flattering at all. And it looks like they are wearing one pair of shorts over another? Are the photos supposed to be conveying deep thoughts or something??

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
It could be a baby bump, or it might be the Plexus stretching out her bladder with toxic fumes. -
Christine and Janelle's kids always seemed very bonded to each other, and Leon seemed to be on the outside of that for a long time, even before coming out as gay. Then Leon and Audrey moved away. I'm curious what Leon's real relationship is with the family at this point? Is Leon an outsider because Meri is now an outsider? Robyn and Kody and Christine and Janelle seemed to have each paired up with each other, leaving Meri as odd person out. I hope Leon isn't suffering because of that. They live in Utah now, so hopefully Christine and the Utah siblings are reaching out and being supportive. Maybe they will give Leon Plexus and that will solve everything. It's been great for Janelle's weight loss, after all.

Didn't Jill give her crib to Lauren? I thought it was mentioned in an episode of Counting On or on social media. My sister got a shower for her second child, and my answer was that if someone thought it was tacky, no one was forcing them to attend. I feel the same way about bridal showers for second marriages. No one is forcing anyone to show up. That dress does Amy no favors. I'm glad she is supporting Jill though. I'm super curious whether any other Duggars attended. Does Jill live closer to her in-laws now? I think the rift between Jill and her sisters is sad. She was right in going her own way and breaking free of Jim Bob, but a bit in the wrong for making some shit-stirring YouTube videos about her family to make money.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Kellyee replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
I don't know how else you would interpret Anna's post other than she is visiting Josh in jail. And yes, Josh should feel deep shame that he has put such a loyal woman through this hell, and continues to lie to her and claim innocence. But he doesn't feel shame, because he is an asshole who only cares about himself, and apparently that widow he bought the Pepto Bismal for. And Anna is turning it into a defiance thing, as if she is somehow the only person willing stand up for what is right. It's very sad and delusional, and I fear for what she is telling her kids about how everyone has turned on their father except her and Jim Bob (and maybe Jana). I don't like Jeremy Vuolo or Derrick Dillard much, but they are both spot on about Josh. Considering how many of the siblings posted on social media that Josh is guilty, I wonder how those family get-togethers with Anna really go. Even Joy Anna posted that he did it. -
There are plenty of modest people in Las Vegas. Most Las Vegas residents rarely or ever go to the Las Vegas strip. As a place to live, it is no worse than anywhere else. The Browns are assholes who can't seem to settle anywhere and who needed a storyline to keep their show. And they were willing to move their kids AGAIN to keep the reality tv train going. I believe the largest number of Brown children are now in Utah, aren't they? Almost no one outside of Robyn's family wanted to stay in Flagstaff, much less live on Kody's imagined family "compound." I still feel bad for Savannah being forced back into that RV on Coyote Pass alone with Janelle for yet another summer. Logan is still in Las Vegas, is educated and employed and in a stable relationship, and appears to be pretty modest.

The Brown parents, including Christine, claimed they had to "flee" Las Vegas (they seem to flee everywhere for no apparent reason) because of the bad influence. Yet their kids talk and dress in ways that would fit right in in Las Vegas, and don't reflect the supposedly conservative religious values the Browns claim they raised their kids with. I remember one of the girls dressing for a school dance and Kody having a fit about the outfit. I forget if that was Ysabel or one of the other girls.
-
Both Christine and Janelle are very loving but very passive, and it shows in how their kids speak to them and Kody. There doesn't appear to have been much discipline. And it was made worse by having a mostly absent father who stared at his phone when he did bother to come by. Some of the things Gabe said this past season and his general attitude made me cringe. Ysabel has now been on social media several times in outfits that appear to be lingerie. And Paedon admits he slapped his own sister across the face, with no apparent consequences.
-
I'm sure Kody would say that Ysabel learned that behavior from living in Las Vegas, and not from being raised by 4 parents who aren't really religious and who back stab each other left and right. It must be Las Vegas' influence. Also, Christine is a very passive parent, so I'm sure Ysabel and all the other kids do whatever the hell they want.

Like a lot of people, Robyn actually looks better more natural and spontaneous and less made up. So does Kody. I'm curious whether them meeting Avalon will be shown in the next season (if there is one). It would be nice to see more actual reality and not just the exaggerated drama TLC puts out there for ratings. I assume they filmed Mykelti giving birth, but we'll see.
-
Meh, Christine was hardly a perfect parent, and I suspect there is a lot with this family that we don't see. Christine despised Robyn coming in as the newer and younger wife, but had no issue when she herself did the same thing to Janelle. Christine had no issue with polygamy until she got jealous of Robyn, and then she started rewriting history and claiming she was always unhappy. Christine can be immature and petulant and overly emotional. Kody is an ass, so Mykelti didn't really score in the parent department either way. I'm glad Mykelti has good relationships with both her parents at this point.

Yeah, it really says something you stand out amongst all the idiots in the room. And Kylen seems to defend him. She's either scared or she drank the Kool-aid and is never coming back from it. The other relationships are messed up, but Kylen and Jason are toxic.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Kody is not on any of Janelle's vacations or weekend outings, and he's never even a photo bomb in the candid pictures she takes at home. Tell me again how she's married? I think her interactions with Kody at this point are purely for the show. I wonder when the next season starts. -
The "Look at my zits" thing was a nice touch. I thought she had monkey pox when I first saw it. She's not wrong about Josh, but she is a total famewhore.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Kellyee replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Considering they are wearing pants and cutting their hair, I don't think Jim Bob has the same power he used to. Anna still appears totally brainwashed though. -
Other than just being a bitch to live with in general, I'm not so sure Meri has actually done anything to anyone that would qualify as horrifying. Everyone already knows about the "Sam" affair and Meri forcing the kids to walk outside in the snow for 2 minutes to avoid walking through her area of the house. Maddie called her a monster, but offered no proof of abuse. And Maddie is prone to exaggeration, so it's very likely that monster = bitch with rules who is a pain in everyone's ass. Paedon says he was told not to talk about Meri, but I'm not sure what he would actually say. And Paedon confessed to hitting his own sister and being rude to Robyn's kids, so Paedon's hands aren't exactly clean. None of the kids talk to Meri, but that could just be because she's bitch. Which won't really hurt her sales, especially when she gets some sympathy for being dumped by Kody.

It just feels like maybe Jon bought Hannah's loyalty. Ya know? Which makes me question whether Kate is truly a "monster", or if she just had rules and didn't hand out free cars on 16th birthdays. As bad as Kate was, 6 of the kids remain loyal to her, even after leaving for college in another state far away from her influence. That says something about Jon and what may have gone on. And I'm really curious who is funding Hannah's new beauty line. The beauty market is over-saturated as it is, and Hannah is no Kardashian, which is who those media photos remind me of. Do girls in Hannah's age range even remember the Gosselins?
-
Collin seems to have disappeared again. Wouldn't he wait to join the military until after he graduates high school? Something tells me that Collin is still very troubled, and that it's more than Jon lets on. And I don't think anyone remembers Hannah as an "instigator of fun". Mostly she was just Kate's favorite kid, which is ironic now. Alexis always seemed to be the happy one. And Aiden.
-
Kylen has half-siblings, correct? I thought we saw them early on in the season. I wonder if any of them are more functional than her. Did they say if Kylen, Jason, Emersyn, or Mason graduated high school? Because they don't seem to be attending school OR working. Same with the others. Tyra went to college, but I don't recall seeing any high school graduations for any of the other teen parents, or mentions of working (except Lawrence and Aiden).

Unless otherwise noted, you should assume that every single one of these people is on Medicaid for sure, and possibly on food stamps and welfare assistance. That may be some of the reason why some of them got pregnant in the first place. The Pregnancy Pact group especially look like the type of people who are working the system.
