I think it's more specific than that. I think Kody wants Janelle to turn on Christine, Garrison and Gabe. I think he's after punishing anyone who has stood up to him, and those three people in particular. And I think he specifically wants to isolate Christine from all family members as punishment for leaving.

If Gabe completely kissed Robyn's ass and apologized for his perceived offense, he still wouldn't have a good relationship with his father. Instead he would just be Meri, an outsider and sometimes tolerated afterthought who gets an occasional compliment for being a good little doormat. This is a typical divorce/remarriage situation. Kody's focus is on his new wife and kids. There is nothing Gabe can do to fix it.

Has there ever been an episode where they say what Robyn has done to make everyone hate her so much? Or is it just that she's passive and Kody's ass-kissing favorite? Janelle alluded to problems with Robyn, and Christine (sort of) admitted she didn't treat Robyn very well, but I never remember an episode where we were shown what exactly was going on. A few seasons ago, Meri was the problem and appeared to be the only major problem. Robyn was even allowed to sit in when Maddie gave birth to Axel. Either things were going on that they didn't tell us about (likely), or they're rewriting history a bit.

I'm glad Robyn is okay and didn't die, and I think she did the correct thing following her doctor's instructions. But did Kody give a shit like this when Janelle had Covid?? It didn't sound like Kody went within 50 miles of Janelle when she had Covid, but he's circling the hospital with his truck refusing to go home when Robyn has it. Does Janelle not see the difference here?? I really hope Christine points it out to her.

It looks like Gwyn has 6,400 people signed up for her Patreon account. The minimum payment is $2 a month, so she must be doing pretty well.

Kody is a jerk, but I can't figure out what Janelle wants or is trying to accomplish. It almost sounds like she is fine with how things already are, which is bizarre. The only thing I can think of is that she has a serious phobia of any kind of confrontation, so she tries to say nothing instead.

I wonder what happened that none of his siblings will speak to him except Hannah. Not sure if it was really just Kate's influence or if something else went down before Collin got sent away. The whole situation is just sad. This also happened a while back: https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/6435431/jon-gosselin-slammed-difficult-work-with-financial-trouble/

I watched the episode. When Kody says working together, he means do what I want. When he says respect me, he means give me unconditional love and don't question me and accept whatever time I give you. Kody is a bully with a fragile ego. And Robyn is the passive "keep sweet" wife who gives in. Her kids are passive too. That's why they get all his time and attention. Janelle needs to give up on Coyote Pass.
-
But Janelle and Meri agreed to this. When Janelle sold her Las Vegas home, she could have kept 100% of the profit, just like Christine just did. She handed over 50% to Kody and Robyn voluntarily to buy a house for Robyn, with no concrete plan for the future and only Kody's word on what would occur. Meri divorced Kody with no settlement or alimony. She let him off the hook without getting anything for herself. I don't have a lot of sympathy for these women. They had options. They screwed themselves. Janelle could still sue Kody for child support for Savannah and use that to rent an apartment.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
So when is Janelle going to admit she and Kody are no longer married?? -
Without Kody and Robyn around to distract viewers, I suspect it would become obvious how fucked up, unproductive, and ridiculous Janelle and Christine are in their own right. They benefit from Kody's histrionics because it makes them look good by comparison. In reality, the bar is set incredibly low. I don't need a show about Janelle and Christine shilling Plexus.
-
All Kody's stupidity aside, Janelle should have bought either Christine's house or the rental house when it went up for sale. The RV was just a bad idea. Janelle didn't do enough research on how to work with an RV, and she didn't have reliable assistance in Kody. And it sounds like there was no way that property was going to be paid off soon enough to begin building in less than a year.

I found it really interesting that Tony said that Robyn was the only person to initially support his and Mykelti's relationship. From what I saw on earlier seasons of the show, Mykelti and Christine were not close before, and Mykelti seemed to be the black sheep of the family for a while. This was back when everyone else was riding the Maddie and Caleb Love Train. If Robyn was the only one supportive of Tony, that explains why Mykelti won't abandon Robyn now. I wonder if Mykelti also felt second place to Aspyn, who took on the role of second parent in Christine's house and who stayed in college when Mykelti dropped out. This family has more alliances and issues than a game of Survivor.

So we've had the Last Gathering, the Worst Goodbye, and a Knife to the Kidneys. Can TLC and the Browns milk this for any more drama? I feel bad for the kids. I don't feel badly for any of the 5 Brown adults.
-
I would bet a million dollars that this last meeting is staged and scripted by TLC, not Mykelti. She's just saying her lines. And as far as apologies go, Christine should be apologizing to her kids for having 6 babies with a man she knew didn't love her and dragging them into the mess. Christine is no innocent victim in all this. All 5 adults are accountable for this hot mess.
-
People will post pictures, birth story, maybe names. I'm curious how much People pays for these contracts with reality stars to be the first to post birth announcements and baby pictures? Looking at the size of Mykelti's belly, I'm also surprised it's not a planned c-section instead. I hope she and the babies are okay. Did anyone else hear her say on that Live that she usually doesn't wake up in the morning before 9:30 or 10am?? How is she sleeping that late with a 1 year old in the house?
-
I've noticed this too. Conversations always take place in someone's backyard, or on folding chairs at Coyote Pass, or on Meri's driveway. I wonder if it's just cheaper to film that way, or if restaurants have actually turned them down. I also wonder if Kody called Savannah to ask about her first day of school after he finished fawning over Solomon and Ariella. And Meri backing up Kody in her talking head after how he has treated her made me want to gag. It reminds me of a bullied kid who bullies others kids to try to get the bully to like her. So sad.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)

Do we know where Janelle is living now? Do she and Savannah have their own place, or are they living with one of Janelle's sons? -
So I'd like Christine to tell me again about the joys of polygamy. And for Kody to go back over the positive picture of polygamy the Browns bring to the world. I've never been divorced, so can someone tell me if divorced people actually get together to scream and whine at each other in group settings with no legal representation? Or is that just a TLC/Brown family thing? Christine can take Truely and her house money because no one in the Brown family is smart enough to hire a lawyer or consult an accountant. Christine's real power lies in the fact that the people she's "married" to are stupid. If Janelle really gave half her Las Vegas house profit to Kody and Robyn, she is the dumbest person on Earth.

Kody needs to stop placing responsibility for his relationship with his kids on other people. His kids have given every indication that they want to see him. He avoided them during Covid, and now wants to blame Christine when they call him out on his crap. Neither Christine or Janelle have kept those kids from him. Gabe is literally crying over it. Kody had months to go pick up Ysabel and Truely and see them. Kody doesn't see his kids because they're not meek and adoring like Robyn's kids.

This was filmed last year, and the interviews I'm referring to aren't more than a few weeks or months old. Christine has said the only person she still speaks to is Janelle, and she says that Robyn and Meri never reached out to her. She never mentions that she told them not to reach out.
-
This is interesting, because it contradicts what Christine has said in recent interviews where she claims that Robyn and Meri haven't reached out to her. She never mentions that she told them to leave her alone. She may hate Robyn, but she needs to coexist for Truely's sake, since Kody is living with Robyn. 5 adults, and Truely is the most mature of the bunch.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
The more I watch Janelle this season, the more I suspect that all Janelle's issues with Meri were not one-sided and not all Meri's fault. Janelle is passive-aggressive as hell. She doesn't communicate, then goes off and does what she wants. Did she even want to be married, ever? Because she doesn't appear to want a partner of any kind, except maybe Christine. Janelle won't admit she wants nothing to do with Robyn, and when questioned about it during last season's Tell All, she just said she was "thinking about it". She's only had like 12 years to decide if she wants to be Robyn's friend or not. Meri is a bitch, but Janelle is a snake in the grass. Kody really knows how to pick 'em. But Kody is an asshole, so in the end they all deserve each other. -
If it was a reasonable price, I might be tempted to sign up. I've never been to Utah, and it might be fun, or at least entertaining in a WTF kind of way. But not for $6,000, and it sounds like that is for a shared room.

They are all in serious trouble once the show ends. The MLM businesses that Meri, Janelle, and Christine depend on for their current lifestyles are dependent on the fan base they get from the show. Maddy and Mykelti are also going the MLM route. They're all screwed once they fade into the background after the show is gone. But I suspect the show has at least one more season. I believe they are still filming right now?
