  1. If Robyn put her foot down and said she needed a nanny because Kody is worthless when it comes to child care, I have respect for that. That's something that Christine should have done years ago when she was expected to watch 10 kids by herself. Christine waited far too long to take a stand. Robyn and Meri stood up for themselves all along and Christine and Janelle didn't. For example, Meri said her kid was going to eat well regardless of whether Christine and Janelle continued to give birth to more kids than they could feed. Christine and Janelle waited until now to stand up for themselves. Kody is having a fit because he is used to them rolling over and taking whatever is offered.
  2. I would have liked to see Janelle point out that Kody got Covid from his nanny, not his own sons. The nanny he let in instead of his own kids. Janelle's revelations about her finances were scary. I guess she's not as smart as we thought.
  3. I actually got to watch the episode live, since I have off work today! I couldn't decide if the fight between Kody and Janelle was real or a re-enactment. Some parts of it were so stupid I couldn't believe it wasn't scripted. Kody's weird sing-songy exit where he said he wasn't going to listen was bizarre. I think he was thrilled that she asked him to stay and he got to say No. He is so fucked up. And I agree with others about the refilling of the water right before walking out. Janelle handled the entire argument badly though. She should be been prepared like Christine was, and stayed calm. They also can't get the story straight. Has Kody called his kids or hasn't he? In the preview for next week, it sounds like poor Savannah is punished with silent treatment for her mother's alleged crimes. So I'm curious whether Kody would actually reach out when he's pouting and playing the victim. I feel bad for Meri ending up with no one. Kody and Robyn are so manipulative with her, pretending to be her friend because no one else can stand them. I'm glad Meri wasn't so quick to blame Janelle. Kody hates Christine, and he is in a rage because he can't force everyone else to hate her too. That's what this is really all about. I'm not sure why Mykelti seems to be the exception, and I'm curious what she says to the Kody/Robyn side when she's alone with them.
  4. Kody has found a completely meek and compliant group of people in Robyn and her kids. None of them have an opinion or ever leave the house and move away. The other wives and kids can't compete with that. They will never be able to compete with that, because that is what Kody wants. To be the supreme ruler of the universe and completely in control of ear piercing. Kody won't call his sons because they are supposed to call him and grovel. Kody should never have to take initiative with his family, because he's just too freakin' special. He said it before, that his relationship with his kids is through their mothers. And Robyn backed him up, I think in this last episode. The problem is that his kids increasingly don't give a shit because its so obvious he is a lazy deadbeat father. He totally expected Janelle to kick out her own kids so he could wander by for 20 minutes once a week to visit. I hope at some point we get to see Meri lose her temper and give Kody a verbal smackdown. But somehow I doubt it is coming. I think she'll just leave and try to maintain her relationship with Robyn.
  5. Did Gwen really say that nobody spoke to them except Mykelti? Remember, the Christmas gift swap fiasco was 2 years ago. It wasn't recent, just recent on the show. I wonder if Leon texted anything during that. Both Leon and Meri seem to be more on the outside of the family these days, with Christine/Janelle and their kids as the core "in crowd". I don't think Kody could get away with publicly bashing Leon and Gwen. Their fan base is not fundy Christian like with the Duggars. If Kody starts talking shit, TLC will pull the plug, and they all need the money and the exposure to drive people to their many side businesses.

    Mykelti

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/sister-wives-mykelti-sisters-hurt-104800304.html Even Mykelti is aware of the huge double standard in the way Kody treats them versus how he treats Robyn and her kids.
  7. The more I think about this entire situation, the more I think it comes down to power. Kody wants to be in power, the supreme ruler of the universe. Aurora is favored because she is meek and sweet and probably never does anything without his approval. She can't even get her ears pierced without Kody discussing it with her 15 times. She is 20 years old, and her father thinks its a good thing that she can't make a minor independent decision like ear piercing. Kody's other kids are independent and mouthy and opinionated. They call him out on his bullshit. So do Christine and Janelle. Kody is far too insecure to handle that. I think before Christine's rebellion and the Covid issue, all the wives went along with whatever Kody wanted. It's the loss of control that bothers him, not losing communication with his kids or having wives leave him. What makes me ill is watching Meri continue to be meek and sweet while Kody treats her like shit and Robyn manipulates her into staying and being Robyn's sounding board. Sitting outside Robyn's house in the cold was insulting considering she is the last wife willing to even speak with Robyn. I hope Meri finds her self esteem somewhere soon.
  8. How do we know that Meri was not at Leon's wedding, even if it was at the courthouse?
  9. I don't think that's it. I think Robyn does want her kids to have a relationship with their siblings. But I think she is so convinced that the other kids are going to mistreat hers that she is hyper-vigilant and controlling whenever there is interaction. Her 3 oldest kids are adults, and she should have let them work it out without jumping in and trying to organize a call. It sounds like it got stupid fast. I would love to know what joke that Gwen told on the text that made it all worse. It sounds like Mykelti has a relationship with Robyn's kids, but she couldn't smooth things over this time. The whole situation is sad, but I don't see there being a resolution.
  10. I watched the episode. It sounds like Logan tried to organize a nice thing and Robyn couldn't stay out of it. If her kids were included in the group text, then they weren't being left out. This whole situation is hopeless. It involves too many people with too much anger and resentment. And Kody is too invested in being a victim to let things calm down and try to have a nice holiday. Robyn's kids are not at fault, but they're not part of the original family unit and they will never have that same bond. And they're being fed a daily dose of victimhood by Kody and Robyn. I do believe that Christine has talked shit though. Probably for years. But I see no evidence that Kody can't call his kids and talk to them.
  11. I haven't watched the episode yet, but why is a 20 year old young woman having her father take her to get her ears pierced?? Doesn't Aurora have friends? And why would there be drama at that age? At first I thought it was a typo and it was really Ariella getting her ears pierced. Robyn's kids seem a bit stifled and kept at home compared to Christine, Janelle, and Meri's kids. And Kody's relationship and constant concern over Aurora is just creepy. He doesn't seem to fuss over any of the other kids that way, even Robyn's other daughter Brianna.
  12. It sounded to me like Robyn was a source of support during times when Mykelti and Christine weren't getting along. I never thought Christine was some awesome, flawless mother. She looks good compared to some of the other assholes, but I'm not surprised that Mykelti had to seek some support elsewhere. For one thing, there was a huge contrast between all the love and fawning that Maddie and Caleb got compared to Mykelti and Tony's relationship back when both couples were dating and first getting married. I wouldn't be surprised if Mykelti had some resentment about that. Were Robyn's kids at Gwen's wedding? I don't remember seeing any of them in the pictures.
  13. I assume that was about protecting Aurora, the apparently lone Covid survivor of the Brown family. I'm curious if Aurora was still being kept in the house at this point? Didn't Ariella and Solomon go off to school in person at the end of last season? Or am I getting the timeline all wrong? Also, Kody can meet Christine inside a restaurant without masks, but Meri can't step inside Robyn's house. The whole thing is bizarre, but not too far off what I saw people doing at this point in the pandemic. Selective rule following.
  14. When one of the boys called Robyn (as she stated in this episode) and asked if they could have their father back, Kody should have immediately reached out, gone over there, sat outside or whatever he had to do, and talked about it. Without yelling or getting defensive. Clearly the boys felt abandoned by Kody, justified or not. He is their father and it is on him to reach out and make a connection when they're saying they are hurt, which is basically what that phone call to Robyn was about. They were being snotty because they feel hurt. But Kody has the emotional maturity of a 5 year old, so he was immediately offended and demanded an apology from afar. And when he did meet with them last season, he made it all about Covid instead of looking for a middle ground. And now its been what? A year? And he still won't let them in the house for Christmas until they grovel, which is what the demand for a "discussion" is really all about. I think he also wants everyone to choose between him and Christine. What's funny is that one of the few people choosing him is Meri.
  15. If Robyn was really Meri's friend, she would encourage Meri to leave and go be happier somewhere else, not keep clinging to a man who clearly wants nothing to do with her. I know Meri has been an ass in the past, but the way Kody treats her is just wrong. He dismisses Meri and doesn't care, but he's pissed that Christine dared to leave him before he could dump her. It's all about power with Kody. Kody could call his sons and have a discussion with them if he wants them at Christmas. Did he lose their phone numbers?? The rest of the episode was unexpectedly boring. The image of Kody in the fetal position and the obvious way that Christine didn't give a shit was amusing though.
  16. Christine is a grifter making money off social media and public attention. It makes sense that she would only date someone who is also willing to participate in the social media attention grab. It probably was discussed on their first date. Birds of a feather fame whore together.
  17. I know I am mostly on my own in this, but I don't blame Robyn for this mess. It was on Kody to make sure all 4 wives got equal attention. And I don't believe for a minute that life was all great in the Brown house before Robyn came along. Janelle and Christine never got along with Meri. Christine has stated she had resentments before about how much time Kody spent with her. Then add on the food stamps, bankruptcies, the other time Janelle left for several years. Robyn didn't help the situation, but it was bad before she got there. I mostly blame Robyn for not protecting her own kids from the dysfunction. She should never have exposed her kids to a situation where it was clear pretty early on they weren't going to be welcomed by the other families.
  18. The show is cheap to produce, and the Browns were willing to take a paycut. And we know they are still filming. I'm thinking this season will get good ratings because of the drama, same as last season. They are not going to cancel the show. TLC seems to be struggling to find another another show as popular as 90 Day Fiance originally was. They even brought back another reality show that was long dead, so they're obviously desperate for content. I'm curious to hear what Meri's attitude is this season as she FINALLY accepts that it is over with Kody. Is this show still a year behind in what they are going to show us?
  19. This may be the most interesting season yet. But after this season, I'm curious what they're going to show us. On social media, they appear to now be 4 completely separate households, with Janelle and Christine hanging out and visiting with Maddie. How do you make that into a show about a family??
  20. Didn't Collin post on social media at one point that Jon abused him too? Back when Jon kept appearing on Dr. Oz.
  21. What actual evidence is there that Kate didn't visit Collin?
  22. They all need to get off social media and the television. I agree that Kate was awful, but its now Jon who can't get enough public attention. Mady made a statement after being bombarded with hate mail from complete strangers. She was a child, and yet she's being judged far more harshly than Jon. And please leave poor Cara's LinkedIn profile alone. I feel terrible for all 8 kids. People need to stop harassing them. Its starting to sound like stalking.
  23. Maddy posted a statement on Instagram implying that that Collin has made violent threats towards them as recently as last year. She's apparently getting bombarded with hate mail because of that documentary show. Every story has two sides, and I just don't buy Jon's innocence act. I don't believe he has no idea why 6 of his kids don't speak to him. I remember him being an ass at the end of the original show when the divorce was happening, and he hung out with Lindsay Lohan's father and went on that Couples Therapy show. Also, why did Colleen dump him, then accuse him of using her cancer for attention? And I think there is more to the Collin story too. They don't just lock kids up for years for no reason. There is an assessment, and doctors/therapists would have to find cause for him to stay there. And Jon had to deal with the police on Collin's behalf on at least one occasion too. There is more to this story than Jon and Collin are telling us.
  24. If Gwen invited Kody to her wedding and he chose not to attend, my heart hurts for her. He's still her father regardless of family drama and he should've attended if invited. I'm glad Gwen has lots of other people supporting her though. She was a beautiful bride.
  25. https://people.com/sister-wives-kody-brown-calls-himself-a-devil-as-robyn-sobs-over-broken-family-7560362 It is beyond pathetic that Meri bothered to have a meeting to tell Robyn and Kody she was leaving. Kody couldn't care less, and Robyn is not really her friend. I'm glad it appears that Meri finally leaves though. Kudos to Janelle for telling Kody to fuck off. And still no actual tears from Robyn while crying.
