Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Kellyee replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I would put Christine Brown's "name brand" on the same level as the Jaclyn Smith collection at Kmart. And the articles on the walls are tacky, but the Browns have always been tacky, so it fits their target audience. -
Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore

Just like with everything else the Sister Wives grifters try to sell, its going to be a hard NO from me. I am curious about what they will try to charge though. -
Didn't Jon agree to the gag order and the continued filming to avoid child support? He always plays it like he was just victimized and had no choice, but I remember him running around with Lindsay Lohan's father and trying to get his own reality show.

Christine needs the show to fuel her other endeavors. The core buyers for her MLM schemes all come from people watching the show. And without the drama of Kody and Robyn, watching Christine will be a huge snooze. Everyone on this show is doing it because they either need the TLC money directly, or they need the fame they get from being on the show to fuel other income streams. The average Plexus seller is not making anywhere close to what Janelle and Christine appear to be pulling in. And Christine made extra from the sympathy factor she got when she left Kody. People even commented on her social media that they were buying to "support" her. I hope they do more Talk Back episodes. Those were far more entertaining than any of the regular episodes.

Is Truely back to homeschooling? I am assuming they are back in South Carolina in that photo. Christine constantly appears to be on vacation. -
I can tell you from experience that at Meri's age, dating is an interesting situation. You definitely have to lower the standards you had at 25 years old or so. I guess that's why I'm single like Janelle 😉. Meri's only child is grown and they won't be having kids, so if Amos is nice, it makes sense for her to give him a chance. Hopefully she doesn't move him in to her house super fast or give him any access to her money though.

I will take an Amos in a hat at the dinner table over Kody's disgusting rat's nest with those two weird squiggly locks hanging down in front any day of the week. Both of Kody's ex-wives traded up. Now if Kody would shave the mess and fix his entire personality, he might be on par with his replacements.
-
David provided his last name right up front, making it an easy Google search. We don't have a last name for Amos, but I'm sure some obsessed soul on Reddit will figure it out eventually.
-
Hopefully Amos likes Meri's turkey. I think it bothers Kody more when his ex-wives find men they like better than him and stop groveling for his attention. As long as Janelle is single, Kody can delude himself into believing she is still thinking about him and might be missing his manhood.

I'm happy for her. I'm glad she is moving on with her life and not waiting around begging for scraps from Kody and Robyn.

S18.E23: Christine & David’s Wedding Special (Part One)
Kellyee replied to Scarlett45's topic in Sister Wives
If it is true that Meri was abusing the children to the point of their lives being in danger, that is a shame on every adult in that house. But I suspect it isn't true. I think Meri was a strong disciplinarian and often a bitch, but I don't really believe she was beating them half to death. Paedon has had his own issues with aggression, to the point that Gwendolyn won't be around him. I wonder if Gwen skipped Christine's wedding because Paedon was there. -

Christine benefits from the horrible way that Kody and Robyn come across. By comparison, she's not that bad. But if you put her on a show by herself, you would start wanting to stick a pen in your eye after several episodes just to escape her. That's my opinion. I honestly hope she and David work out and are happy. It all seems rather quick, so I hope they are compatible long-term once the new relationship glow wears off. -
S18.E22: Look Back: How It's Going (Special Episode)
Kellyee replied to Scarlett45's topic in Sister Wives
Meri wanted to be part of the family, and appears to show up whenever Robyn and Kody invite her. Yet in this past season, Robyn left Meri out of Easter. According to Meri, Robyn never contacted her about coming for Easter or participating in anything. And Robyn didn't fight to include Meri in that Christmas #2, possibly because Mykelti doesn't like Meri. So how much does Robyn really want Sister Wives and want to work things out and have one big family? BFF Jenn implied that Robyn often doesn't show up for her plans with Meri. I think Christine is right that Robyn says one thing, but her actions speak very differently. -
I'm not so sure the Christine/Janelle "Best Friends Forever" thing has staying power either. Christine is a bit controlling over Janelle, and you can see Janelle express annoyance about that in both the regular episodes and these Talk Backs. If Christine can't learn to back off, Janelle may do her passive distance thing to get away from Christine, similar to how she was just ignoring Robyn's existence without directly confronting these issues. There may be more than one reason that Janelle has no desire to move to Utah.
-
I am more entertained by the Talk Backs than I ever was by the actual show. Interesting that Meri's best friend Jenn appears to be no fan of Robyn, and pointed out how Robyn is selfish when she makes Meri and Kody's breakup all about her. I also noticed when Jenn asked Meri why Robyn cares if she leaves when Robyn apparently rarely sees Meri or shows up when they have plans. Hopefully Meri stays away from Flagstaff and continues building a separate life. Meri's laugh during uncomfortable scenes is totally a defense mechanism, and it's really sad. I love Christine and Janelle's commentary, and I love how Kody gets chance after chance to say something mature and gracious, and passes on it every single time. Robyn looks like she is slowly being tortured filming these episodes, but I'm questioning more and more how sincere Robyn's distress really is.
-
Meri was old cow. Robyn is new cow, but she is probably also the last cow, because Kody is not attractive enough or wealthy or famous enough at this point to get another new cow. I think both Kody and Robyn have behaviors that drive each other crazy, and I think both of them wish Kody had somewhere else to spend part of his time.

S18.E19: Sister Wives: Talk Back Part 1 (Special Episode)
Kellyee replied to General Days's topic in Sister Wives
Meri got sucked in by a catfish because she was lonely and depressed after her husband and her "friend" manipulated her into accepting a legal divorce so they could get married to each other instead. I agree with you that Meri should be honest about it, but I think she is still in a lot of denial. Kody continues to brand Meri with a scarlet letter for her online affair so that he can justify his shitty treatment of her. Because when you consider how Kody treated Meri, it makes you a lot less sympathetic when he whines about loyalty and how he's been supposedly betrayed by members of his family. -
S18.E19: Sister Wives: Talk Back Part 1 (Special Episode)
Kellyee replied to General Days's topic in Sister Wives
There were a few new revelations, but not much. It was mostly the same talking points. It was nice to see Meri confirm that Kody is a huge baby when he is sick. I agree with everyone else that Robyn didn't look happy and didn't want to be there. She's been criticized a lot on social media and probably doesn't want to revisit things that happened. I would have liked to see Kody comment directly on statements his kids made about him this season. -
Meri was very mature and gracious when talking about David and Christine and the wedding and whole situation in this episode. I hope she has truly moved on and found some peace. Suki gave Kody and Robyn multiple chances to act like mature adults and be gracious about the entire situation, and they pretty much passed on every one. Robyn passed on it with her histrionics and drama, and Kody passed on it with his continued hatred of Christine and his conspiracy theories. And that horrible line about how his kids have to come to him, since he apparently has no desire to reach back out. The scene where Christine is telling her kids about her lack of intimacy with Kody IS inappropriate, as is any shit that Christine has talked about Kody to her kids. I suspect that Christine's oldest daughters were parentified at a young age and have been her emotional crutch for a while. But I don't think Christine is purposely alienating them from Kody. It has always been Kody demanding that everyone choose "loyalty" to him over Christine. He is the one forcing them to take sides, not her.
-
It annoys me when the media says that Kody's 3 wives left him. Meri didn't leave Kody. Kody shoved Meri out of the family. That's a very important detail that makes Kody look a lot less sympathetic.

https://www.etonline.com/sister-wives-sneak-peek-robyn-brown-says-being-happy-with-kody-feels-disrespectful-exclusive-216512 If my eyes roll any harder, they are going to end up in the back of my head. Robyn REALLY wants to be center of attention. She actually expects the 3 ex-wives of her current husband and their children to comfort HER. And there were still no tears, but I noticed her nose turned really red.
-
But Gabe and Gwendolyn both said in a previous episode this season that they like and miss Aurora. And I believe Garrison said he misses Dayton. Nobody seemed to miss Breanna. Which is sad when you think about how these people are supposed to be a family. Like many blended families, the kids likely developed resentment and anger about various things. Especially when their father started spending all this time with their step-siblings, after some of the original kids rarely got attention from their dad.

I don't like to pick on Suki, because I can see the shit she has to work with on this Tell All. But I would like her to ask Kody why he is so angry and betrayed over being left by a woman he admits he never loved and wasn't all that interested in even spending time with. I would also like Suki to ask Kody why he is so angry over Christine but doesn't give a shit about Meri, if he supposedly never loved either of them. I know the answer is that Christine took her power back by leaving him, while Meri stayed and groveled and begged. But I would like to hear Kody's explanation on why he has treated these two wives so differently. I have never heard of a personality test where the answer is that you are attracted to drama and obsessed with talking about drama. That sounds more like Christine's interpretation of Robyn's test results, likely meant to be a passive aggressive dig at Robyn. Unless the test in question was actually to diagnose mental illness. It's possible one of the kids said they hate Robyn's kids. I can see it happening. They seem to have a specific dislike for Breanna for some reason.

If Meri had been honest about the catfish situation and why she fell for it, and then left Kody and admitted she was lonely and duped into the divorce, she would have beaten Christine as the first sister wife to abandon ship, and she would have gotten the most support and sympathy from the public. Meri handled the situation all wrong, and now she's paying for it. And she still seems to be in a lot of denial about how Kody and Robyn have treated her. I saw a spoiler video where Meri still claims Robyn has her back. She needs a ton of therapy. I wonder how much Meri and Leon are in contact. They don't seem to spend any holidays together at all. But they appeared to be okay with each other at Gwendolyn's wedding.

Meri needs serious therapy. It is becoming increasingly clear that she clung to a situation where no one wanted her for years. It's really sad. The thing with the melting of the ring is so disrespectful and heartbreaking. I feel like I'm gaining a larger understanding during this Tell All of why Meri behaved like she did towards Christine, Janelle, and the kids. I think she was constantly fighting for her place in the family. Meri didn't handle it well and she should have taken her only child and left decades ago. Even during the Tell All, Meri continues to excuse Kody and downplay things that happened and how Robyn contributed to her disrespect and trauma. Losing her mother, who was likely her closest emotional connection, must have been one more trauma to throw on the pile. Meri has a lot to unpack with a therapist. Christine and Janelle are practically begging TLC for their own spinoff show. I would have no interest in that watching that.
