  1. That picture terrifies me. I'm not in the group that's going to riot if (God forbid) Daryl dies, but I'll be very upset.
  2. I always watch DNR when it's on. That poor judge. Shot, paralyzed, and eventually dies because her husband was pissed off that she was more successful than she was. And yet even with all the evidence staring at her in the face, she loves him too much to believe that he did it. My favorite part of the episode is when Jack finally unleashes his utter contempt for the man: "What goes on in your head when you look at your wife?! Knowing she'd rather die than send you to jail? Why the hell didn't you just divorce her?! Was the wound to your ego that great?!" I love it when Jack voices the disgust that the viewers feel for the perps.
  3. I still say it was pretty messed up that Xander cast the love spell just so that he could dump Cordy...and yet when everything blows up in his face and he comes clean to Cordy, instead of being pissed off she thinks it's sweet?
  4. This episode showed just how creepy Angelus could be. He was never this creepy in the Angelus arc on Angel, IMO. Sure he was evil and manipulative, but it was kind of written as a sort of comic relief at times. But THIS Angelus was creepy. Poor Giles.
  5. The obviously biased judge in the episode where the mentally disabled girl was raped is definitely one I loathed. How the hell did he not get recused from the case when he so obviously made up his mind long before the trial even started never fails to piss me off.
  6. Is it wrong that I wish the federal charges had been genuine just so that asshole could get the death penalty? Because he totally deserved it. Also wish the bitch girlfriend had gotten jailtime too.
  7. Tom Hanks playing himself on Celebrity Jeopardy was hands down the best Celebrity Jeopardy. And a surprise cameo by Norm's Burt Reynolds! It's a damn shame Norm was fired because the real Reynolds had been talking about coming on a Celebrity Jeopardy sketch to play himself. That would have been gold.
  8. Beautiful line. But the one that broke me was in book 7 when Harry uses the resurrection stone to see his parents and Sirius and Remus: "His eyes feasted on (his mother) and he thought if he could just stand there and look at her forever, it would be enough."
  9. Oh my God, the funeral scene in My Girl destroys me every time I watch it. "Put on his glasses!" *wails*
  10. Animal House: The guitar in in the infamous guitar smashing scene was a breakaway that was supposed to shatter after one hit to the wall. It didn't, so John Belushi frantically bashing it over and over on the wall until it's in pieces was all adlibbed.
  11. I actually do think sleeping with your child's spouse DOES make you a shitty parent. Case in point: the mother in the teen drunk driving/partying episode that enabled her daughter into being an alcoholic, gave out booze to her classmates, and slept with the boy her daughter had a crush on. Not to mention getting her lawyer to blame everything on her daughter during trial. How about the mother in "Charisma" who took her children to live in a cult and let the leader impregnate/kill them. People always talk about how unnecessarily harsh Liv was while interrogating her, but I don't blame her for being disgusted. And to top it all off, it turns out the cult leader had murdered her husband. So she unwittingly slept with her husband's murderer because she was dumb enough to believe his story that he had abandoned her.
  12. Cordelia's rant where she rediscovers her innerbitch and stops being a "sniveling little cryBuffy" is hands down the best part of that episode.
  13. I loved that too. Too bad a certain other character didn't follow that example -- especially in season 6.
  14. There was this little scene in Continental Divide when John Belushi's character makes this goulash for Blair Brown, and he looks at her real anxiously when she tries it. Then, when she says she likes it, he just has the sweetest looking smile on his face. Another good one from The Princess and Frog was when Charlotte sees that Tiana is in love with Naveen and she is so happy that her friend found love that she happily lets Naveen out of their deal to marry her after he kisses her. The fact that the writers didn't take the cop-out of making Charlotte evil made the whole movie for me.
  15. Those two should have gotten their own spin-off. Their relationship was the best thing about this show.
  16. I thought I'd start a thread for all the guys in Betty's life. And with the exception of Henry, I could not stand any one of them; Walter: Oh dear. Where to begin with this douchebag? Being a sad-sack loser was his only good quality. He is the prime example of how it is possible to be emotionally abusive in a relationship. He cheats on Betty, and makes it sound like it was her fault for not being forgive and forget. And when they do get back together (which I felt was a huge mistake on Betty's part), he goes out of his way to make her feel like crap for her success and judge her for her "new lifestyle." The way he whined when their weekend plans fell through when Betty had to review that 4-star hotel/restaurant then made an ass out of himself over dinner was disgusting. Even more disgusting was how Hilda and Ignacio kept defending him. Seriously, Betty went out of her way get take care of Ignacio's HMO, and yet he was still friendly with the guy who cheated on her?! Betty should have packed her bags and gotten her own place back in season one. Henry: I blame the writers for turning a likable love interest into a baby mama drama soap opera. But that aside, I thought he was way more supportive than Walter (not a high bar, but still). Gio: Didn't like him. I especially didn't like him when he came back and lashed out at Betty for "breaking up" with him. It wasn't her fault his damn cheese got confiscated. Matt: Now this guy, I actually managed to hate more than Walter. He was decent I guess pre-breakup, but getting the job at MODE just to use his power and spite Betty at every chance he got? That's sexual embarrassment. And I did not buy his half-assed apology for it. Any other girl in Betty's position would never have even considered giving their relationship another try after that stunt. Anyone else care to share their thoughts?
  17. As soon as I realized the blonde girl was Johanna, I gasped. What have they done to her?!
  18. Well, actually Ruthie was one of the only ones I liked -- probably because her client in "Homesick" really was innocent. God that episode was made me sick. Dead babies are always horrible, but I couldn't help feeling some sympathy for the guilty brother. The whole thing could have been prevented if his dad wasn't such a neglectful douchebag. It was interesting to see Jamie Ross come back as a defense attorney given her earlier stance of how monsters should rot in hell with their lawyers. At least she tried to do right by making that anonymous call about the wrongly convicted man when she knew her client was the guilty one... Which is a lot more than I can say about the asshole court appointed attorney in "Bodies" who was dumb enough to ask his client the serial killer where the bodies of those young girls were, and later say he couldn't reveal them to the police on account of attorney client privileges. That guy deserved to be slapped.
  19. I hated her too. I loved the episode where Jack finally called her out on her bullshit: "Who the hell cares what you think anyway?!" I think he spoke for everyone when he said that. Actually, I don't think I liked any of the defense attorneys because the majority of them were just as scummy and self righteous as their clients.
  20. Leonardo DiCaprio and Vera Farmiga getting it on to "Comfortably Numb" in The Departed. Holy sweet hell. And while I know that people are going to question my sanity for this one -- but John Belushi sniffing Blair Brown's hair and leaning over to kiss her neck in Continental Divide. He was hot in that movie! Shut up! Also the part where they start making out in her bed after he gets attacked by that mountain lion.
  21. If I had to pick one of the many horrifying scenes on Breaking Bad, it would be Todd gunning down Andrea. The minute she opened the door to see him standing outside, I screamed, "RUN ANDREA RUN!" And I kept on screaming right along with Jesse, hoping against hope she'd be spared...oh my God, I seriously can't watch that scene ever again. Second the Red Wedding on Game of Thrones. Talisa's stabbing was especially brutal. The Purple Wedding was disturbing as well. As much as Joffrey's death was long overdue, I did not care for the sight of him gagging and turning purple.
  22. "We do! We do!" Heh. Favorite seasons would probably be any one between 1-10. The show was so much better back then. Homer was dumb without being a jerk and not every word out of Marge's mouth annoyed the crap out of me. *sigh* Where did those days go?
  23. IMO any of the episodes in the last 5-10 years would fit well in this category.
  24. Seriously, we don't have a Spider-Man thread? All righty then, here we go. A lot of people have been disappointed with the direction the comics have been taking ever since the infamous "One More Day" storyline that blanked Peter and MJ's marriage out of existence -- all because some morons thought Peter was more entertaining when he was single. And then his love life got messed up even more with Doc Ock taking over his body in "The Superior Spiderman" storyline. Geez, is there some unwritten rule that has ordained Peter Parker can't be happy? Discuss this and other things about Spidey here.
  25. Oh no, don't get me wrong, I always thought Harry was a hottie. It's just that description of him with the cut on his cheek...woof.
