  1. I know, I’ve posted there, I just thought the warm and fuzzy moment should be on this thread.
  2. I agree that TLJ was the best of the new trilogy, but I don’t blame Rian Johnson for wanting to move on. The Star Wars fandom is eating itself with the rampant toxicity.
  3. THREE parts?! Please don’t let me down the way GOT did…
  4. Oh no, I’ve heard the songs on BroadwayXM, and they are gorgeously 80s. I just still wouldn’t watch the show lol. I love me some melodrama, but that is too rich my blood.
  5. Don't forget misogyny.
  6. Funny that they cast Lea when Idina did the same role years back. Never saw Chess but read the plot and yeesh. Not interested.
  7. Lynn Cheney, unlike many Republicans, finally called Trump on his shit and wanted to hold him accountable after January 6. She put country over party, and I still don’t get why some leftists treated her campaigning with Kamala as an unforgivable sin. A common enemy should unite. I have no love for Cheney, but she did more to help us that the leftists that turned their noses up at Harris and let Trump win.
  8. Pee-Wee As Himself: I was touched by how much Paul Reubens loved animals, especially the wildlife that frequented his California home. I loved all the footage of him putting food for all the animals that came by the area. There were so many that you’d think he was living in a Disney movie. And while the video recorded message he shot the day before he died ripped my heart out, I loved that the camera was deliberately focused on the outdoor area, where we could see deer, birds, wildcats, and even coyotes. No matter how sick he was, he still found it in himself to appreciate nature one last time.
  9. OlurinattiPOP! has some great videos ripping the characters of How I Met Your Mother a new one. She hates Ted, branding him a “romantic terrorist,” but she doesn’t like Robin either, and rightfully so: Yes, Robin was honest about not wanting marriage and kids from the get go, but as Olay points out, she was guilty of taking advantage of Ted multiple times, knowing that he was the “dependable one.” And we’ve all long called her on being more interested in Ted and Barney when they seemingly moved on with other women. I also liked how Olay called her out on playing the victim with the whole Victoria debacle: Ted shouldn’t have lied, but let’s not pretend Robin didn’t have ulterior motives in inviting Ted over in the first place at 2 in the fucking morning.
  10. Two good ones from Peter Quill in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3: “I don’t need another speech from some impotent whack-job whose mother didn’t love him rationalizing why he needs to conquer the universe!” And ”Screw you, you stretch-faced, Robocop-looking, Skeltor wannabe PURPLE-NERPLE PIECE OF—he hung up on me!”
  11. Big article about his family drama and drug use. If what it alleges about his drug use is true…
  12. Pigging backing on this, because, yeah, I genuinely want to know too. In the Obama era, I was happy. I didn’t worry about politics, let alone people being this awful to each other. And when Biden as president, I at least knew there were adults in charge, even if it would take away while to clean up Trump’s mess—progress that obviously went out the fucking window as of this January.
  13. Pee-Wee's Big Holiday (2016): I had to rewatch this after seeing the new HBO documentary. I didn't know that Paul used make-up and CGI de-aging because he didn't want Pee-Wee to look older--okay, the makeup, I guessed, but I couldn't tell there was CGI. He didn't look that different from how he looked when he brought back the Broadway show... Anyway, the movie was quirky and goofy and probably not as good as the original. Still, it was fun. I'm so glad Paul had one more movie in him before cancer took over. The bromance between Pee-Wee and Joe Mangianello was fun too.
  14. I knew Jeremy would kill it. Like I shared before, I never even knew about Floyd Collins (the man or the musical) until I heard this song on Broadway Sirius XM back in November. Had no idea what the context was, and yet it managed to destroy me (though I was in an already sensitive mood at the time). And I haven’t been able to get it out of my head ever since.
  15. Loved that too. Almost rivals Belle’s backhanded “I just don’t deserve you” rejection to Gaston. Speaking of rejection, Lottie in The Princess and the Frog was the anti-Anastasia/Drizella in the way that, despite being a bit spoiled, she loved Tiana like a sister and was generally kind to everyone. But I did love how she wasn’t afraid to be brutally honest with that dork who kept pestering her to dance all evening after she tried to be nice with the “maybe later” excuse: “Travis, when a woman says ‘later,’ what she really means is ‘Forget it!’” Good for her.
  16. Word to all of this. That’s why I roll my eyes every time I see a post praising Cinderella 3 or Lion Ling 2** as the “best” Disney sequels with their retconning bullshit. Another little thing I enjoy from Cinderella was her warning Bruno not to chase Lucifer because the stepmother will throw him out: “Lucifer has his good points too. Like…uh…hmmm. There must be something good about him.” 😂😂😂😂 I love how it turns into a backhanded insult! Fortunately, Bruno does get back at Lucifer at the end! **Scar didn’t have any lioness supporters and even if he did, I sure as shit don’t need a whole movie that tries to make us sympathize with them!
  17. That and he and other media outlets are trying to pass the buck and act like they didn't contribute to Trump winning by dogpiling Biden/Harris while normalizing Trump.

I need stand, but the discourse, as usual, is getting so toxic that some fans of the original are spoiling people that liked it and/or went to see it because there’s nothing else out for their kids to watch. JFC it’s getting dumber than the Snow White debacle. If you don’t like the Disney remakes, then don’t watch them. Don’t even pirate them—why do you want to hate-watch something you know is going to piss you off anyway? Don't give it any energy and just leave the people that feel otherwise alive.
  19. Oh FUCK OFF. I take bitter satisfaction in the fact that the larger public is starting to turn on him.
  20. You’re right, I misspoke. But you get the gist of what I meant. I agree that Paul did sound bitter at times, but again, I don’t really blame him. I can only imagine how humiliating those ordeals were.
  21. The documentary is gliding over the fact that Sherri’s lie/hoax caused a lot of trouble for the Hispanic residents over the area. Personally, I think she’s come up with this new version of events to get away from being branded a lying racist.

Well, Lilo & Stitch might have been successful, but fans of the original are PISSED that the new one has Note: I haven’t seen it, nor do I plan to, I just got the spoilers off the internet.
  23. I wish this was more fun than it really was. Figured out the twist villain fairly quickly.
  24. I’m so ashamed, I did forget he was Dodger! And yes, I love that song too! Must’ve listened to it a hundred times on my singalong tapes!
