  1. I suspected as much…and he was close with Judy Belushi and she just passed away, so there’s that too.
  2. Guess if they did Black Jeopardy, they won’t do Celebrity Jeopardy. Why is Dan Aykroyd the only original cast member that isn’t coming? Is he ok? More Eddie!
  3. I remember that movie. I agree with everything you said. The takeaway is supposed to be that you should still love your family even when they’re the absolute worst? A film version of Waitress the Musical is on Max now. The one thing I hate about both the film and the stage version: I cannot buy the romance between Jenna and Dr. Pometer. Jenna was married to an abusive asshole, but we only see Mrs. Pometer and she seems perfectly nice. We never get a reason why he’s so unhappy with her except that he’s possibly resentful that she’s busy finishing her residency and she doesn’t need him the same way Jenna does or some Nice Guy horseshit as that. Ugh. Yes, they don’t end up together at the end, but still…
  4. Saw the touring production of MJ. Whatever I think of Michael Jackson, I don’t hate the music. The numbers were incredibly choreographed and Jordan Markus and Deandre Hamilton both captured Michael brilliantly. They both practically glided on the stage. Also, I saw the proshot of Waitress the Musical on Max. Never thought that movie could make a good musical, but they managed to pull it off. My only gripe is I found Dr. Pometer even more repulsive than he was in the movie; the actor playing him reminded me strongly of Xander Harris. You can make a guy as dorky as you want, but that doesn’t make his cheating on his wife—with his pregnant patient—any less despicable.
  5. My vote is both.
  6. As do I, and I don’t buy Lorne’s “admiration” either. I wonder if she’d be invited back to perform for the 50th anniversary if she was still alive. My guess is no. I’m glad some of the musical acts they showed got to be on the Peacock special. Seeing them again after so long was a trip. Made me smile seeing Barbra Streisand on Coffee Talk and Aerosmith on Wayne’s World. And David Bowie… The Blues Brothers stuff was my favorite. If only things had turned out differently… Edited to add: Belushi doing Dueling Cockers! So glad they didn’t leave that out!
  7. Black Woods, Blue Sky by Eowyn Ivey: I loved The Snow Child, so of course this was a must-read for me. It was good, but I was NOT prepared for the dark turn it took. You go in expecting a fairy table/dark romance a la Beauty and the Beast, and it winds up being more of a cautionary tale.
  8. I thought Mad About the Boy was okay for what it was, though I find it hard to buy that Bridget would have kept Daniel in her life as a family friend/honorary uncle…unless that only happened after Mark died.
  9. Believe me, I would have loved that, but my point is that he never should have been there in the first place. He could have been swapped with any other MCU character and it wouldn’t have made a difference.
  10. The audience reactions were the best. I did love the Lonely Island Melody, Nick Valentine, and Will and Ana bringing back the Culps. Their rendition of “Not Like Us” was GOLD.
  11. Again, maybe the MCU writers should focus developing the female characters they already have instead of chucking in more new ones. Might have worked for me if we’d actually gotten a scene of him in Endgame actually apologizing to Bruce and the Avengers at Tony’s funeral. Anything at all to justify his presence there instead of just a “oh look, that asshole” cameo.
  12. My favorite “adult” joke had to be when Kuzco and Pacha scream in pure terror as Yuma pulls up her dress…then immediately sigh in relief when she only reveals the knife strapped to her leg. And yes, I was old enough to get it.
  13. A day late in seeing this but I liked the roses Disney Broadway sent them. I really hope the new Beauty and the Beast tour comes to my town! 🌹🙏🏻🙏🏻
  14. So you agree? It’s wrong to treat your own son like a prop just to stick it to the libs?
  15. Why didn’t Brady tell Maroun about how that woman tried to defend herself by claiming it wouldn’t have been “feminist” to give up her husband for her daughter? Kind of blows a hole into her battered woman’s defense… And let’s say, to be generous, that she was abused. SO WHAT? It doesn’t excuse her being a shit mother. And the fact that she was the one that ratted her out to her pedo husband about the video, which led to her murder. You can spin it any way you want, but she chose to save herself instead of her daughter, and that is unforgivable.
  16. I fucking hate Maroun.
  17. Beastly was quite possibly the worst remake of Beauty and the Beast ever, but I loved Neil Patrick Harris as the tutor.
  18. I agree. Unfortunately, the main reason why things are the way they are today is because a certain number of people didn’t choose their battles carefully.
  19. My one hope is that he doesn’t last the next four years.
  20. Dare I hope this will be the one Greek epic adaptation that actually tries to be accurate?
  21. Whatever happens, I do NOT want people harassing the kids that get cast over this or sending the, death threats. But knowing how the internet is, it’s probably inevitable. It’s worth remembering that Lithgow got acclaim for playing a trans person in The World According to Garp. Maybe I’m being naive, but for all we know he’ll donate his paycheck to transgender foundations.
  22. Mark Harris’ Blusky had a pretty post on this that I think sums up my feelings: I’m not trying to downplay it either, I’m just saying I’ve got so much hate for a lot of people these days, so like Mark, I’m trying to prioritize.
  23. The consensus I’m hearing is that Sam’s Captain America deserves a better storyline than getting Hulk’s sloppy seconds. To which I agree. And according to what I heard
  24. Review from Entertainment Weekly confirms exactly what I feared when they recast Harrison Ford as Ross. Few little gems: And: BRUCE BANNER WOULD LIKE A WORD.
