WendyCR72 October 28, 2016 Share October 28, 2016 N is for Netflix. I'm not sure just how much binge-watching the girls would endure, especially if it cut into Blanche's manhunting. She does have to leave the house for that! Link to comment
AndySmith October 29, 2016 Share October 29, 2016 (edited) Netflix would be useful for those lazy rainy days...the type where Sophia is out all day buying a nectarine, and the other girls need something to occupy their time with, in-between eating, gossiping, and making out with pillows... O is for On-line Shopping. Another useful way to spend time on those rainy days. Plus, you can buy your Secret Santa gifts without leaving the house! Though you'd still have to be wary of scams and cons (just like you would of people dressed like nuns at the mall). Edited October 29, 2016 by AndySmith Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 October 29, 2016 Author Share October 29, 2016 P is for Playstation. Sophia would say that in her day the boys would go outside and play cops and robbers. Link to comment
LilWharveyGal November 4, 2016 Share November 4, 2016 Q is for quidditch and other Harry Potter-isms. Would the girls have read the books? They probably would have bought them (or other merchandise) for their grandkids at least. Link to comment
camom November 7, 2016 Share November 7, 2016 (edited) I think Dorothy would have read at least one Harry Potter book, probably all of them. But she's the only one. R is for Red Bull. Rose would drink it and be up all night making Sperheoven Krispies. Then the others would have an intervention to get her to quit. Edited November 7, 2016 by camom Link to comment
Miss Chevious November 7, 2016 Share November 7, 2016 S is for sexting. T is for texting. I put them both in here because they may be related, at least in Blanche's case. 1 Link to comment
BookThief November 8, 2016 Share November 8, 2016 U is for Uber. I think Sophia would get the most benefit out of this and despite the earlier mention that she wouldn't like video games, I actually think Sophia would be one of the better technology adapters in the house because it would help her get what she wants. One of her friends at the senior center would help keep her skills up-to-date. Link to comment
Mom x 3 November 8, 2016 Share November 8, 2016 V is for Viagra (created in 1998), which all the girls may have shared the benefit of with a partner. Link to comment
AndySmith November 8, 2016 Share November 8, 2016 W is for the Nintendo Wii. The Girls would have enjoyed being able to play tennis in the comfort of their own home, though it might have been a bit tougher to fake a death during a game of tennis Wii than real tennis. Link to comment
BookThief November 9, 2016 Share November 9, 2016 X is for Xarelto (blood thinner) that likely one of the ladies would be on. If not Sophia, then Rose. Or maybe both. Or Blanche. Dorothy will live forever since she was able to kick Chronic Fatigue Syndrome over 2 episodes. 1 Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 November 9, 2016 Author Share November 9, 2016 Y is for YOLO. Blanche already lives by it. Dorothy would weep for the continued degradation of the English language. Sophia would use it as an excuse to date another gangster. Rose would confuse it with FroYo. 3 Link to comment
Maherjunkie November 19, 2016 Share November 19, 2016 Z is for Zyrtec, since Rose's cat allergy comes and goes. It's 2 in the morning, I'll have to think of a new topic later. 1 Link to comment
Maherjunkie November 20, 2016 Share November 20, 2016 What would the girls do in a western or sci fi flick? A is for the aliens Dorothy would make cry. Link to comment
Mom x 3 November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 B is for the beryllium spheres that they would search high and low for, only to discover that Blanche had them turned into some trendy looking earrings. Link to comment
Miss Chevious November 21, 2016 Share November 21, 2016 C is for cowboy boots. Blanche would be rocking that look in a western. Link to comment

Kiddvideo December 17, 2016 Share December 17, 2016 D: they would Dispense justice the old-fashioned way with a rope...and a tree from props. 1 Link to comment
LilWharveyGal December 21, 2016 Share December 21, 2016 E is for the E.T.'s Rose would hope to meet and interact with in a sci-fi. Link to comment
Kiddvideo December 29, 2016 Share December 29, 2016 F is for encountering a Flying Saucer. They'd call the military and hope to meet an officer interested in their marital statuses because he wanted to date them not because he'd already checked a box on a form. Link to comment
Miss Chevious December 29, 2016 Share December 29, 2016 For G, I couldn't decide whether to go with Western or Sci-fi so here's both. G is for Gaga. The Girl would would go absolutely Gaga upon learning their co-star in their local playhouse Western production was none other than Mr. Clint Eastwood. G is for a Galaxy far far away. Which is where they would like to send Rose sometimes, especially when she has too much caffeine. Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 December 29, 2016 Author Share December 29, 2016 H is for the horses Rose would take care of in a Western. Blanche would constantly compare men to horses. Dorothy would hate riding them. And Sophia would talk about how they had to eat them to survive as a child. Link to comment
LilWharveyGal December 30, 2016 Share December 30, 2016 I is for interplanetary travel. Rose would sign up in a heartbeat. Despite her interest in the science and technology, Dorothy would be too afraid to board the craft. Blanche might go if a man was involved, and "rocketing to Mars," became the new, "yachting to Bimini." Link to comment
Maherjunkie December 30, 2016 Share December 30, 2016 J is for jingles and spurs. Something tells me Blanche would find them a turn on. Link to comment
Kiddvideo February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 K: in a cross-over episode with Gunsmoke, the girls find themselves at Miss Kitty's saloon where Marshal Dillon mistakes them for harlots and throws them in jail. (Why were they in Dodge City, KS? They were trying to find Minnesota, but, well, Rose.) Link to comment
AndySmith February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 L is for Light speed travel, which I'm sure the Girls would all appreciate when having to take vacations or any other type of trip. Link to comment
Miss Chevious February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 M is for Martians. Rose would like to meet one, Blanche would like to date one and Dorothy & Sophia would both say "Ewww!". Link to comment
LilWharveyGal February 3, 2017 Share February 3, 2017 N is for a noose, which Blanche would need to mete out justice in the Old West. Also a tree from props. Link to comment
Kiddvideo February 19, 2017 Share February 19, 2017 O: Rose wins a contest to Orbit earth and bonds with extraterrestrial life forms in the sci-fi thriller, "Cheescake Tastes Better than People...or Does It??" Link to comment
AndySmith February 19, 2017 Share February 19, 2017 (edited) P is for the Ponderosa Ranch from Bonanza. Sophia would teach the Cartwright men how to cook real food, Rose would tend to any farm animals there, Blance would flirt with the men, and Dorothy and Ben Cartwright would have instant intially-dislike-but-really-attracted-to chemistry with each other. Hey I can see some real match-ups here. Dorothy with Ben as mentioned, Blanche with Little Joe since she loves younger men, Rose with Hoss (they both have hearts of gold) and Sophia with Hop Sing. Perfect! They could've had a crossover show The Golden Girls Rustle Up The Ponderosa Men. Yippee I-O KY! Link to comment
Kiddvideo March 1, 2017 Share March 1, 2017 Q is for the Q Continuum from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Captain Picard saw an episode of Miami Vice and programmed it into the holodeck where he pretended to be Sonny Crockett. Q sends Picard back to the mid-80's where his life is endangered as a real vice cop and he befriends Rose, the ultimate Miami Vice fan. Link to comment
AndySmith March 27, 2017 Share March 27, 2017 R is for Robocop. Except, through plot shenanigans, he is somehow reprogrammed as a housekeeper, but still keeping his cold and direct personality, and the Girls somehow end up in possession of him. Hilarity ensues... Link to comment
Kiddvideo May 17, 2017 Share May 17, 2017 S is for Sharknado, which Rose mistakes as a documentary. Panicked, she cashes in her Christmas Club fund for the down payment on a floating shark cage. Only 18 more eaz-ee payments and it's all hers! 1 Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 May 17, 2017 Author Share May 17, 2017 T is for Tremors. Rose will never go to the southwest after watching, Sophia will say "that's nothing!" and compare it to some mob methods. 2 Link to comment
BookThief March 6, 2018 Share March 6, 2018 U is for UFOs. We already know Rose believes so she might not even realize she was on a sci fi movie set in the first place. Link to comment
FormerMod-a1 March 21, 2018 Author Share March 21, 2018 V is for the red velvet Blanche would wear in a western saloon. Link to comment
BBHN March 22, 2018 Share March 22, 2018 W is for Westworld. Western and Sci Fi at the same time! Link to comment
Miss Chevious March 31, 2018 Share March 31, 2018 X is for X-ray vision goggles you see in a lot of sci-fi movies. Dorothy especially could perfect the “death stare”. Link to comment
Minzy April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 Y is for The Yellow Rose of Texas, a Roy Rogers movie Rose would rent for a rainy Saturday, but which the other girls might not appreciate as much. Link to comment
BookThief April 9, 2018 Share April 9, 2018 Z is for the Zombies Dorothy could kill dead-dead with just a look on The Walking Dead (or...anywhere). It took 1.5 years to finish that category! Since it's been a while, how about just good old fashioned Golden Girls knowledge? A is for Aunt Angela who has somehow not seen Sophia in 30 years over a misunderstanding. And has lived in Sicily, then New York, then Sicily again? Aunt Angela is likely a spy. Link to comment
mythoughtis April 10, 2018 Share April 10, 2018 (edited) B is for Bridgette who slept with Michael in Blanche’s Bed. And was never seen again as far as I know. Edited April 10, 2018 by mythoughtis Link to comment
WendyCR72 April 10, 2018 Share April 10, 2018 C is for Clayton Hollingsworth, Blanche's brother, who surprised Blanche when he came out late in life. Link to comment
Minzy April 10, 2018 Share April 10, 2018 D is for Dennis Griffiths, Dorothy's scoundrel of a son-in-law. Link to comment
BookThief April 10, 2018 Share April 10, 2018 E is for Eduardo who talks a good hair talk ("Go on, Eduardo. I said 'Go on!'"), but gave the ladies all the same style as Sophia. Link to comment
Miss Chevious April 13, 2018 Share April 13, 2018 F is for Fidel Santiago, the old guy Sophia and Blanche fought over. Blanche: ”I’m going to take a nice hot bath with just enough water to cover my perky bosoms.” Sophia: “You’re only gonna sit in an inch of water?!” 1 Link to comment
LilWharveyGal April 13, 2018 Share April 13, 2018 G is for the Great Herring War. Specifically, the one between the Lindstroms and the Johanssons. Link to comment
BookThief April 14, 2018 Share April 14, 2018 H is for Heifer, which is the answer to a question in the Cows category Rose was proud to take on Jeopardy (in Dorothy's dream) for $300. She was a Jeopardy champion and *she* didn't get knocked up in high school. Link to comment
mishy April 16, 2018 Share April 16, 2018 I is for Ingrid who was Rose's birth mother who worked in the kitchen at a monastery that must have been a pretty reformed order. Link to comment
BookThief April 18, 2018 Share April 18, 2018 J is for the John in Kenosha that Rose knows. (I'll bet she knows a lot of Johns. Must be regional humor). Link to comment
