The only think I have ever agreed with Jay one is Cassie's 5th year audition. She was injured and stumbled her way through it. Jay asked would the judges extend the same grace to a rookie auditioning? This is also the only time I have ever disagreed with Kristi Scales.

I kinda felt like that was for show. Everyone knew that she would make it back just because of who she is. Everyone knew they wouldn’t extend the same grace to a random nobody. When it was said that they knew she was a DCC, I wish someone had said something to the effect of “she was a DCC but not this year”.

Why do the guest choreographers come in to teach a new dance and look like they slept in an alleyway?  Tyce Diorio (however it’s spelled) and his assistant looked like hobos. To me it doesn’t make their routine look good at all. Another one that has come several times with a jacket tied to their waist.  Just curious on everyone’s thoughts on this.

I’d forgotten how annoying Savannah’s hair side-part was! It’s literally right above her ear and just looks silly...

Young Briana might be able to dance but heavens, she’s dull as dishwater! Waaaaay too timid.

Current season on Pluto:  What is the point of having "alumnae" critique the TCCs (besides another chance to shove Cassie Trammell Loftin down our throats)? Might as well have them teaching Training Camp.

I think the idea was that the alumni could offer critique based on their own experience of being a DCC and dancing that particular style for many years, plus how to succeed in training camp.  I thought Sarah Idziak (sp?) and Ashton Torres had very good specific advice for certain girls in the workshop.  I didn't hate them featuring the alumni, but I didn't think Cassie offered anything particularly groundbreaking.  "I was the task-master."  Um, ok?  Doesn't really help them in their rookie year.

Because then, like for sure, we can like, listen to Mia and her "valley girl" voice.

They are honest which is what you want.

I've never listened to what she said.  I just fast forward thru her part:)  I know there is something about smiling, not smiling - something like that.

Another irritation....

WHY do they have a CMT camera in the LOCKER ROOM? That should be a private/safe place. And I swear if I see that James Franco commercial one more time......UGH

I'm assuming that there is a warning when the CMT cameras are in the room.  However, is there a warning when a girl is filming with her phone?

I mentioned this also a while back.  I finally figured I was just too old to be hip.

watched 108 and i have a question about the end of year dinner where Kelly said that alumni who had contributed and influenced the team were invited to talk and share with the girls and there was TK so tell me what she did that was so great that she got invited

Seems few people know  (on the forum at least) that Tina is often referred by alumni as one of the greatest group leaders they ever had back when she cheered and she was also the assistant to DCC director in the 90’s.

I always thought Whitney was one of the best DCC style dancers they ever had. I don't think she ever missed a beat. She had that down home girl next door look and a figure to die for.

Agree on all counts... what she really had going for her was you could check off all the boxes: really pretty, sexy, All-American girl look, & fresh-natural looking (not fake, cheap, platinum blond),She had the ability to morph back and forth between these looks....and radiated in her performance style and the camera LOVED her. And yes, great body with perfect proportions.

It's not common for a dancer/cheerleader to have all this at her disposal. I think Dayton has the same kind of assets...beautiful & wholesome, but can pull off sultry/sexy, innocence, and all american too. (come to think of it...Madleine S. has potential in all of this too...love her!)

I was never the smiley cheerleader, I was the one who "laid down the law."  🙄  She went on to say it was ok to not be smiley, even though it's always preached to them about "pleasant pretty smiles." I mean, I don't dislike her, but come on.

When commercials come on, the mute comes on.  The one that makes me itch is MTV's Cribs..."We made it ma, top of the WOOORRRRLLLDDD"

Same in most cases.  But the James Franco one where he's going at himself on the mirror while grunting like he's shagging someone....#Nope.  Can't even watch and I'm no prude.

Yep, the hobo trend with a contoured face trend needs to die...along with sexy hips.

Watching Ep 208.  How many times did that girl Kimber say "sucks" when she was being interviewed by CMT?  IMO she should have been cut way before she was.

Also do you guys (and gals) think that Kelli wanting to "reevaluate" Kelly Jo and Loni's kicks was a "setup" and they had already decided on the final squad?

It's possible. This is my favorite way they have announced the squad though.

When she is named a group leader in season 6, Judy says she doesn't think people respect that Cassie made it on her own, and now being named GL, she has moved past that.  Uh huh.

It was just on Pluto an episode or two ago. That was pretty convenient wasn't it?

Yeah I knew it was in the season that was currently playing on Pluto when I posted the question but I couldn't tell if I'd missed it or not. 🙂

In the swimsuit calendar episodes when the girls are changing suits on location there's always at least one guy on the crew just staring straight over the towel they're holding up. It irritates me so much. Like, have half an ounce of decency, please.

Like, they really can't afford to put up one of those tiny cabanas or whatever they are called??

Seriously. They look so uncomfortable. Not sure why it was deemed necessary to film someone changing, either.

Chelsea understood Cassie so well? Hmmm...lol and what's with calling a person a human like that? Haha idk

One of the interesting things about re-watching old seasons is seeing who the girls were close to on the show compared to real life now.

Chiming in on Whitney. I thought she was a great dancer. I also thought she was a good point, but I always thought her look was so basic. I never understood why she was basically allowed to slide by and be the “it girl” after the lil Wayne costume drama, especially given that it actually did cause negative press for the DCCs, unlike some of the other things that we’ve seen girls get punished or cut for. Squeaky voice aside, I always thought Brittany was up there with Whitney in terms of performance, and since they came in at the same time and both were blonde, not sure why Whitney was the “it girl” over her.

Hello, friends!  I'm one of those people who recently discovered this show through Pluto TV, and I've been watching it in a haphazard fashion.  I have so many questions...

There is a scene that I've seen multiple times and it always confuses me.  There is a candidate named Ashley (I think), who is called into the office along with her group leader, Emma.  Emma goes in first and is asked about Ashley's attitude.  Emma says Ashley is great, everyone loves her, and she really wants her to make the team.  Then, K & J call Ashley in and tell her they have heard she is arrogant, stuck-up, cold, etc .  ???  It's the exact opposite of what Emma just said about her.  K & J also say they spoke to her "former dance instructors."  How far back into these girls' lives do they go?

Also, has the show ever received backlash for the body standards they impose on the girls?  I noticed that in the first season, they measured the girls' body fat by making them get into a tank of water.  They were telling girls with 14 or 15% body fat that that was perfect, and telling girls who were in the 20% range that they needed to lose weight.  Then I saw season 4, where they measured body fat by some kind of scan and they were telling girls that the ideal for a woman their age was 22-24%.  They actually told a girl who was at 15% that she should probably gain weight.  Why such a big change?  (Not that I'm complaining about it.  I still feel mad at that skank who pinched one of the candidates and told her "you don't want to put THIS BODy into THAT UNIFORM."  Ugh).
