Meri is still very much denying the 'falling in love' aspect of the cat fishing situation. That's the most important part of the whole story. That she fell in love with what she's thought was another man. She was so visibly uncomfortable when Christine brought that up on the couch. She started trying to change the direction of the conversation to steer it away from the 'love' angle, because then the infidelity part of the story would be so out there...something Meri has always denied. This was always a 'friend' that turned on her...not a love interest.

They don’t know how to communicate with each other at all.  Meri just wants the money and doesn’t want you all to have any part of it.  This is her backup plan.  For when she finds a Sam.  Why they weren’t up front about being “equity partners” before versus “we thought we had the money but we don’t so we’re going to push the equity issue now” is just dumb.

I could see getting a second opinion, or taking her to a specialist in a place with better healthcare (L.A. or NY), but they don't seem to be doing that. Very disturbing for the reasons you state.

From what I can tell, the caretaker's quarters are separate from the house and Meri thinks she can put guests in there and her mother in the main house. Christine started to say she really shouldn't do that and Meri talked over her. I agree with Christine.

The problem with Meri is that no one can speak to her anywhere, anytime about anything without her being "guarded" and her "walls going up" - translation - Meri might not be able to get her own way.  If you want to have a rational conversation about anything to do with Meri, it would practically ensure that Meri would be excluded.  Especially since she is unable to see any point of view but her own.

I think deep down, maybe subconsciously, Kody teased Meri with the money, then yanked it back, on purpose. He's still punishing her. And I gotta say, I loved that selfish, greedy cow being told no for a change. That was very satisfying to watch. She's had it coming ever since she demanded her giant house, her wet bar upgrades and her expensive private school for her one child (the child who now also can't stand her.)

    Meri says:  "I can't even remember the last time I asked for money for something".  Uh - didn't she need a wet bar and whatever else on her house?  And yes - houses are money pits.  What happens when the house needs a new furnace or a water heater or washer and dryer or whatever?  If you are tapped out paying the mortgage on TWO houses...and your B&B is empty or not making as big a profit as you were hoping -  where does that money come from?
