Happy Friday

  • Happy that Whoopi is not trying to moderate
  • Elsa trying to look like Barbara Eden from I Dream of Jeanie - Barbara Eden was beautiful on the inside and outside
  • Hate Hate Elsa for speaking over everyone and again trying to take the show Hostage - THE TITLE HAS NOT CHANGED OFFICIALLY YET TO MEGHAN MCCAIN'S THE VIEW SO SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP - SEE I AM REPEATING JUST LIKE HER
  • Loved Anna talking about the bad stuff Roger Stone said about her and Don Lemon, you know that in her mind she was thinking female dog to Elsa the hatred I feel for your soul sucking husband and you
  • Elsa truly only hates people like Stone who criticize Daddy Dearest and she probably hate the man in the house but she would never let that show because what would she have on her agenda and her husband might not fill out her blue cards if she did not go against anyone he told her too
  • Elsa acting like BFF since they share brooches - lets all throw up together now
  • Wilbur refernce was actually in the comedy Mr Ed the talking horse how appropriate
  • In reference to Wilbur Ross, Abby do not act you know what is it is like to  live paycheck to paycheck or had to worry about a dime because you were born to it and you know Elsa wanted to say something but maybe she is trying to win fans - WE KNOW THE TRUE ELSA

Have a great weekend

Great summary! Maybe your 3rd point (MMs The View) could become a spin off - least that would get rid of her from the main show! Would of loved Anna to slip in a mention of Mr MMs tweets whilst reading out Roger Stones - i highly doubt any of MMs blue cards would of saved her (oversized) arse!

Meghan’s insecurity is always in overdrive whenever Ana is there.  And yesterday- when she made that comment about how the audience just wants to throw tomatoes at the Republican- it really pissed me off!!  I can name several conservative hosts and talking heads that I like and respect. I’m a big fan of Nicole Wallace!!

And the look on her face when Ana made a joke at her expense!!!

I do wonder if somethings gone on backstage to make MM so insecure about Ana,possibly she might know all it would take is for Anna to agree to full time & she`s out of a job as surely she knows her 15 minutes is slowly ticking away. I Think someone needs to put it bluntly to her - she was hired for being John McCains daughter, there is no longer a John McCain so there is no longer a use for her!

Meghan thinks being a Republican is a way of life.  Which is why she thinks Ana isn't a true Republican.  She doesn't seem to grasp that one's political beliefs are just one facet of their personality.  Most people don't define themselves by their political party.

She seems to grasp that concept quite well when she's defending a certain base with comments like 'just because you voted for Trump doesn't mean you're racist' and she gets defensive when someone says that they don't know if the 42% of wall supporters are racist...meanwhile she'll make sweeping generalizations of the 'left'. She'll go through six degrees of separation so that she can arrive at an assumption and then put it forward as a gotcha moment. It's downright ridiculous how often she talks about AOC and acts like AOC is the leader of this hostile takeover of the Democratic party when in reality there are only a handful of them elected with AOC being the most popular and well known of the group. She fears politicians achieving universal healthcare and raising the minimum wage so that people can live with some dignity more than a kid fears going to school.

The only thing Meghan is consistent on is her views on foreign policy and how the US maintains ties with allies and keeps their enemies in check (and even then she has strong views based on incorrect facts in some cases) but most of the time, Meghan just talks out of both sides of her mouth. It's frustrating to listen to and even more frustrating that everyone is so worried about maintaining their professionalism toward someone who often times comes off like a bratty bitch. My eyes really appreciate me since I've stopped watching the show. I haven't rolled them to the back of my head in at least a few weeks, lol.

The only Al Cardenas I could find is Joy's age.  Is that Ana's fiancé?

That IS Ana's fiance.  He's 71; she's 46.   The 'net says this:  Alberto "Al" R. Cardenas is an American lawyer, politician and conservative activist who is a partner in the law firm of Squire Patton Boggs and in the Advocacy Group at Cardenas Partners. He has been named as one of Washington D.C.'s top lobbyists by The Hill newspaper.

I could watch her get pissed over Ana's joke over and over lol.

Colin asked her if she was sure she wanted to hear the joke about Arizona,  she said yeah I can take it. Lol, no she can't. Friday's show proved that lol. Colin even said you know I'm a comedian,  I'm not trying to be mean. If Abby can laugh at Colin's joke, Meghan should be embarrassed at how humorless she comes across.

I also love that she repeats a few times "this is supposed to be fun" (during the Instagram segment) in the most childish entitled tone. You just know the producers told her that. It'll fun Meghan, it'll be fun.

How dare Ana make a joke at little Meghan's expense during a segment about her?😂

Sunny was a sneaky instigator today when she ever so nicely said that she didn't think a cactus counted.  NutMeg was already offended by Ana's reference to her pet cactus being in the litterbox that is Arizona.  Then Abby tried to smooth things over by talking about the healing properties of cacti.  Throughout it all NutMeg was huffing and puffing, pouting and shouting how this was supposed to be a fun topic and they were being mean to Arizona and cacti and her.

I thought it was interesting that NutMeg said she doesn't agree much with Ana, that preamble is usually reserved for socialists, democrats and Joy.  When Ana first came on the show during Nutmeg's tenure, NutMeg talked about how she was so close to her family and to her dad and they were on the campaign trail together.  What happened?  Hmmm....

When NutMeg finished greeting Colin Quinn she had to climb her spanxed self back on her stool.  So she came around to the front of it so we could all see her in her full glory.  She had trouble getting up and getting situated.  Why don't her multiple producers advise her about these kinds of things?

I think Meghan’s reaction to the Arizona joke today was an indication of how much she’s still grieving. Arizona is her dad’s state in her mind, so knocking it felt to her like knocking her dad. You could tell because she inexplicably teared up. At first I was frustrated with her, like have a sense of humor and give it right back! Laugh! But it’s clear she’s not able to get there. I think she may need more time to grieve, but I think she’s never really been able to let things roll off her back and laugh with her cohosts.

I understand what you're saying, but despite her grieving, she should know that Ana - or whomever - making jokes about Arizona or her cactus are not, in any way shape or form, meant to be anything negative about or towards her father. Ana has repeatedly expressed her love and admiration for Meghan's father, and so has everyone else sitting at the table. Hell, Ana worked on her father's campaign at one point. If jokes about a cactus or Arizona are this painful for her, I really hope she's seeking therapy and I'm not saying that in a way to mock her. It's my understanding that she hasn't returned to Arizona since her father's passing because it's still too difficult for her. John McCain had an incredible sense of humor, even when he was staring death in the face, and I think most of us are just saying it could do Meghan so much good if she learned to laugh and not take everything so personal.

I know everyone grieves differently but even before her father's death she took everything so personal.

I was going to say, "Finally, something they can all agree on!  Roger Stone!"  I did see MM waver a bit when they were all trashing him.  I watched the Netflix doc and that man is garbage.  I guess they can pull MM back in by saying something about her dad.

I always walk away at some point towards the end so just caught the Ana joke above.  That was so funny.  MM would have gone all whoop-ass if she could have.

Yes, 100% agree with you completely, Alexis2291. Not everything is meant to be a slam against her- and truly, I don’t think her cohosts care if she ever gets pregnant or gets a pet either!

Her constant barrage of talking over everybody this past week was especially jarring, as was the other host's reaction to it, which was basically to shut up and let her speak.

First, that: and the host letting the OTHERS know subliminally that they also must shut up.

BUT MOST!  CementHead, your posting right above mine is so good, so concise, so perfectly right on...it needs to be picked up by the various online "magazines" that write about television.  It's better than anything I've read about Meghan.  If your posting doesn't turn PINK, I'm going to turn yellow (as in PISSED). Also, it's Saturday...murmur, murmur, murmur...

I ended up watching the segment with Colin and Ana's comments after since it's posted in this thread and I have to disagree. There are patterns in Meghan's behaviour that can be noticed well before her father's death and even before he was diagnosed. Meghan is a bit narcissistic and I don't think that is due to grieving. She finds some way or another to bring the conversation back to herself. It was really telling that when Meghan asked to hear the Arizona joke, Joy immediately knew that she would be insecure and take it personally which is why she asked Colin to say something bad about New York first. I'm past blaming all of Meghan's poor qualities on her grief. She's always been a condescending, know it all woman who thinks accomplishments are inherited and not earned. She talks about her family's accomplishments as a way to credit her own knowledge and experiences when they aren't truly hers. She takes any criticism in line with her belief as though someone specifically crafted their response to target her. Forget a bit, the woman is definitely a narcissist. When she can't turn the conversation to herself, she makes these passive aggressive comments about the topic because she feels she can't be included and that's her way of taking some of the attention away (ex. every topic about the royals, her comment about how the women always have to talk about Abby's virginity and marriage every Friday...).

That little princess has known how to work people most of her life.  Even Joy is treating her with more kindness than she earns.

WoW, RHJunkie, you are on a ROLL!  I hope we get a big audience here today.

I actually agree with you. I suppose it was the tears in her eyes that seemed more related to grief. The lack of a sense of humor and the overblown personal offense has always been there.

And self-deprecating (something she simply cannot do!)  He could give and take with the best of them.  It's one of his many classes Meghan failed.  Actually, it's probably genetic and another thing she didn't inherit.   I'd bet she was in a giant snit over his teasing innumerable times.

I'm not discounting the posts about narcissism, but I think a lot of Meghan's problem is that she's probably been spoiled her whole life.  I have a feeling she was Daddy's Little Girl who got anything she asked for and everyone else in the family bowed down to her.

On another topic, I was thinking Meghan was secretly thrilled her cactus got more 'follows' than Abby's dog, but probably annoyed that she lost to Joy's dog Bernie and Sunny's hens.  I was just looking at Clay Aiken's Instagram, where today he posted Meghan's cactus picture, and said if you love America, you should follow Meghan's cactus.  A joke, obviously, but I guess he had to do something to help heal his friend's hurt feelings.

ETA:  And on Meghan's Cactus Instagram, I was surprised to see a picture from yesterday of Ana holding Meghan's cactus.  (I'll bet anything Ana had to apologize for her remark.)

Those are cute little "decorator" cacti.  I found nothing "calming" about any cactus I've seen.  I've pulled spines out of kids, dogs...out of horses.  I had a big "spike" go completely through my wrist when I fell off a fence (age 5).  I've tumbled down the side of a hill and had "jumping cactus" all over me (age 12).  Some cactus looks nice in the right setting...even majestic.   Aloe vera has been said to have calming and medicinal properties (is that what Abby is thinking of?)...but it's not even in the cactus family.  It's a succulent and related to the lily (and it's healing properties are overrated).

Her bust is huge.

I know she won't because they're her main Claim to Fame ... and she has said her husband LOVES them, but a breast reduction would be a great thing (aside from the scars...and there are SCARS).  Surely her back hurts occasionally...and it will hurt more.   She can't seem to find any clothing she likes to wear that looks good on her.  Maybe when she's my age (elderly), something will have been developed to keep those puppies from being fodder for Whoopi-type jokes.
