From how I read it(and I could be wrong that's why I'm asking) He says three are driveable, one for each of the boys and the other(I assume the third) going to the WB in LA. Wouldn't that mean two for the boys(Jensen and Jared) and the one left going to the WB in LA(presumably for potential use as a prop/for appearances/museum/etc because it's an iconic car now). 3 hours ago, Katy M said: I think it was just that the question itself was weird. The first 10 minutes or so is Michael chatting with his assistant or whoever that guy is sitting on the couch. Throughout the interview it will stop for commercials, because that's how these podcasts and youtube vidders make money. Then a couple of times Michael and his assistant will get on there and talk about one of their sponsers for a couple minutes. Then it's back to Jensen. So it's not seamless, but Jensen is the only person he's interviewing. Overall it's a good interview, and was clearly done before he announced The Boys. 5 Link to comment
Aeryn13 September 8, 2020 Share September 8, 2020 Thanks for the link. I found it pretty insightful and interesting. Especially in light of the Boys announcement what he said about approaching his first "transitional" project. I have no doubt someone will find something or other he said as mock-worthy or "problematic" because that's internet culture today. But I loved it. 6 Link to comment

At some point he remarked on having different projects, plural, in the works. But didn`t specify if he meant solely acting projects. Near the end Rosey asked him directly if he had something specific he couldn`t yet talk about and he just said "yes". I think in that moment he was clearly thinking about the upcoming Boys announcement which should have been in the works already by that point. The announcement date, I mean. When he refered to theoretical projects he could/might do, in a "what if" sense for a next role, he mentioned "if it be a movie or a short Season order of a streaming series or a guest starring role". I thought it was a wink wink nudge nudge moment for the second one obviously. Something interesting he said was about the aforementioned transitioning, i.e. the first new role he would take after SPN, he wanted it to be something not completely out there but also something that would set him up for other projects. I got the feeling that he was specifically not looking to jump into another longterm commitment right away. A guest starring/recurring role on a short streaming series seems to be exactly what he was looking at. 6 Link to comment

He's always really thoughtful and intelligent when he talks about this stuff. Back when the Cons first started and people still sometimes asked serious questions and he did Q & A's on his own, he always gave such thoughtful answers when it came to the show, acting, etc. And I do hope at least some of those plural projects are another acting project. He and Steve are already working on a second Radio Co album but I want more acting! 4 Link to comment

Casseiopeia September 8, 2020 Share September 8, 2020 Well that was a great interview. I loved that Jensen didn't want to abandon the character that he had spent 15 years perfecting. I would love to see an Indiana Jones type role for him or see him work with some of the more creative director/producers. Sounds like he has a lot of people interested in what he chooses to do next. I love how open he was during the entire interview and I'm sure it helps that Michael is a close friend he totally trusts. Really great stuff!! 6 Link to comment

Michael asked if he was going to drive it home, I think. Jensen stated he was having the car shipped to Austin and was talking to a couple of people about doing some work on it, specifically putting in A/C and a new stereo system. Everything else he wanted to keep as is. (ETA: posted after Bobcatkitten) Overall I thought it was a good interview, and it certainly helps that he and Michael are friends. So Jensen was very relaxed. From what he said about future work, "irons in the fire" and a transition role, I really felt even more certain that he views his role on The Boys as that transition piece - close enough to what he was doing on Supernatural, being a genre action character, but something to set him up for whatever he's already looking at beyond this role. Makes perfect sense. He also clarified even more how much the last two episodes had to be changed because there are things they could no longer do. At this point I'm seeing two final episodes with a handful of characters socially distanced taking each other to death, or something along those lines. No action, no crowd scenes, and sadly probably no final throwback cameos that they probably intended to do at one time. And it was really nice to see his quarantine hair one more time, especially knowing it's already Dean-cut. Edited September 8, 2020 by PAForrest 1 4 Link to comment

Interesting (and not at all surprising) tidbit about Jared being the more volatile person on set. I would love to know who the person who was promoted and started being a douche to 'underlings', and he and Jared had to put on their non-existent producers' hats and set them straight. I'd bet money their name rhymes with Andre Badd. Love his thoughts about his career possibilities going forward. I feel pretty good about it after watching this. 9 Link to comment

I think they have separate "bubbles" for each group, the way Jensen described the groups being kept separated: the actors/makeup/wardrobe, the grips, lighting people, etc. That way the actors can interact with others in their group while social distancing from the other groups. Just a thought. 2 Link to comment

Yes they are clever how they film in bubbles--we should have action and actors close to each other...won't look too different from a normal episode. 2 Link to comment
Jonesy September 9, 2020 Share September 9, 2020 I just throw this in here--The Walking Dead just announced it's season 11 will be it's last one. So SUPERNATURAL at 15 seasons is safe from being passed as the longest fantasy genre show in North American history. TWD was the only show that had ANY potential to pass SPN. I think SPN's record is safe most likely forever. Also if Jensen is on THE BOYS past season 3--I expect him and Kripke gets a visit from Jeffrey Dean Morgan for sure(maybe a significant visit)...they've already talked about it and JDM will be free to do so in near future. Which would be great! 6 Link to comment

Technically it is, but an antenna isn't really of any substance where the building itself is concerned. Just like the Dabb seasons - they made the show longer but didn't have any substance. 3 Link to comment
