Kevin has always been exceptionally talented at interviews and the BTS stuff.  He seems so at ease and genuine. They should have had him doing more of it over the years

BroadwayWorld.com has a writeup about Darren's new B'way gig.  The opening line is: "Like a beacon in the night, Darren Criss arrived upon the GLEE scene and virtually stole the show." Their writing style always amuses me.

Wow.  Does Darren's mom work there?

ETA to add:

Along the lines of marketing - apparently GleeOnFox is selling items from/related to tonight's episode

Specifically for Brittana's wedding. (Does the wedding count as a spoiler since it appeared in the preview? Sorry, I can't remember, so better safe than sorry.)

.  I am not a close Glee watcher before this season, so I was curious if they've done this before?  or if they're just trying to wring every last penny from the last few hardy souls watching.

I'm not sure if they're always so hyperbolic with all performers, but their Glee reviews are in the same hugely overpraising style. They also quoted the Hedwig creators calling him a "game changer" with "impeccable rock and roll credentials". The only such credentials I can think of is the Teenage Dream charting but as to H2$ and his own music, it's pure hyperbole.

So ETOnline finally gets to talk about their visit to the set:   14 Behind-the-Scenes Secrets From the Set of ‘Glee's’ Double Gay Wedding!

Love the last one:

"14. One Glee actress, who shall not be named, kept trying to steal the wedding spotlight with an over-acted shocked face as the two couples walked down the aisle. It was actually extremely distracting."

Now this is what I want to read, not hyperbolic puff pieces a la Broadway World.

Naya not messing a word - not surprised, given how she delivered Santana's rant to Kurt

The shade about the cut portion of the vows, and how the crowd actors couldn't bother playing confused and surprised.

Chord needing a lot of direction: "The producers would call over a loud sound system that he needed to "act more stunned" or "take a bigger pause" before announcing the obvious fact."  LOL

Melissa and Blake at the Independent Spirit Awards today.

Love that dress, the fiancé ain't bad either.

Wait what? They're engaged? When did this happen?

So it WAS him in her boudoir photos during the celeb photo leak!

. Mind=blown. Man, between them, Naya and Mark, and Lea and Cory (whispers of Heather and Chord too, but not sure I believe that with her having a long term BF), that set was a verifiable love boat!

They've been engaged for about a year. There's a picture of them in their Grease costumes and they look madly in love, they had only just met. When her name was in the list of stolen pics I wondered if it was him that was hacked.

I think Kevin and Jenna dated too, I also read he dated Vanessa (Sugar), didn't Matt and Lea date at one point too.

They look great and kudos to Blake for wearing a well tailored suit.,  It makes all the difference in the world on the red carpet, especially for men.  (I am now flashing to Cory's many ill fitting tuxedos and suits, especially in the first couple of seasons.  As we say in the south bless his heart).

LOL the Klaine Kraken They didn't mince words there at all.

"This is something that kind of grew legs of its own and it has now become not so much the relationship that our characters have on the show, but, like, this other creature ..."

....yup.

I read somewhere that it was a previous boyfriend in the hacked pic (which tbc I haven't seen and wouldn't want to), who was a photographer. Don't know if true.

I would sincerely doubt Kevin dated Jenna or Vanessa, and not because they aren't lovely girls, strictly my unproven feeling is they are just the wrong gender. They are great friends though.

OMG! I thought I was the only one who thought the bolded about Kevin. Not trying to start anything. I adore Kevin, but yeah, that has been my hunch as well.

I thought the thing with him and Jenna was confirmed and not a rumour. But it was years ago but I could be wrong.

I have a similar hunch about a male member of the cast who's friends with Jenna.

They were super close. Especially at the start of the show. There were pictures of them on vacation together etc. But to my knowledge they always made a joke of it or laughed it off. So I don't think it was ever really confirmed or denied. It was just kind of out there. Then Jenna started dating that guy from the Vampire Diaries and they were together a few years at least.

I generally don't watch interviews with the actors (I am too often disappointed by them!) but I watched this.  Wow, both Chris and Darren seem kind of horrified by the whole Klaine fandom!  I mean, they both tried to talk about it positively, but Chris said something about not even being able to go on social media. Poor guys!

Chris has practically stopped tweeting and IG-ing all things Glee for a while now in favour for his books and other projects, because of the Glee-related shit he constantly gets on his social media. He also gets lots of love of course. But the cray-crays are there every single day harrassing him how he's f*cking Darren, hurling obscenities at his boyfriend, threatening him to glorify Klaine or else, or tweeting they're suicidal if Klaine doesn't do this or that. I imagine it gets to you after a while, and I don't think he ever expected or imagined it would come to this. I think it's this dark ugly side of fandom attachment they mostly mean in this interview, calling it the monster and Kraken. Darren also gets his fair share of hate, but I feel more goes to his girlfriend who is hated from sections of both Darren's own fandom, (typical jealousy), and the tinhatter Klainers.

Chris is also quite outspoken and has his own concept of character and relationship on this show regarding Kurt as first and foremost an individual person, which adds fuel to the fire for the harrassers.

I'd hope with Glee done and them moving on to their own projects, things will normalise at some point.

I think for those two in particular (Chris and Darren), moving on from Glee will be the best things for their respective careers. People have blended those actors with their characters a little too much. Both men have large fanbases, but the "Klaine" fandom should..simmer down..as time goes on.

And I think Chris made an interesting point, that the biggest fans of Klaine tend to be young women. And that it's really because Klaine is the story of an outsider getting his/her teenage dream. Kurt being one of the most fleshed out characters on this show, and Blaine being the trophy..you can see where younger people might connect with that and get attached. But you can also see where younger people may take it too far.

True about the young fans, hopefully they'l grow out of it soon with the end of Glee. It's funny though that some of Chris's vilest bullies among the tinhatters are people over 25 and some even in their 40's, they won't grow out of it, they'll just move on to another unfortunate couple

My first thought was Sugar but in a good way. She allways had great reaction shots in the background but I think the actress seems really sweet and not obnoxiously trying to " steal the spotlight".

OMG! Lea may be at a disadvantage because as a woman, she's weirdly expected by some to put a stop to her life and mourn forever. If she were a man, they'll cheer for "him" to find someone to heal his heart. It's coming from women/girls I suppose.

Some are brutal.  Literally saw a rant that someone was mad  that Lea may have brought her boyfriend to the glee party and they said that would have been disrespectful Cory.  Now this person was ranting about something that probalby didn't happen.

Not to mention her instragram when people continue to ask her why she has forgotten Cory, like she should do some daily affirmation to him.

Kevin took the wheelchair? AWESOME!!!

I didn't need to see that Lea pic this early in the morning, man. Trying to get ready for church over here.lol I knew I'd be a wreck for the last ep, but I was feeling oddly dispassionate about most of these "final week" posts. I found myself getting slightly misty at the big group pic, but mostly just thinking on the one person who was missing. But this pic hit me harder than I can explain.

It's nice that Kevin took a reminder of how awful his casting was.*

*That's not a dig a Kevin, it's a dig at every casting of able bodied actors as disabled characters. Artie should never have been played by an able bodied actor.

Back to the ET Online article. I was reminded how memories are warped by your own biases.  I read this bit originally:
"3. During the vows many of the actors kept forgetting their swoon-worthy nuptials. Criss kept giggling before yelling "Line!" and Morris tripped over her words more than once and would stick out her tongue with playful frustration."
And thought 'What a tool, memorize your damn lines!'  but had completely forgotten the author also called out Heather in the same sentence.  Plus, you COULD interpret that comment as "He's having fun on set it must be great to work with him."

As for 14:  So first of all, I totally missed how extremely pointed this comment actually is - I thought it said 'Glee actress' not 'Glee bridesmaid' which would have included pretty much all the women at the wedding as candidates.  But it says bridesmaids, so:  There are only three bridesmaids - Mercedes, Tina and Rachel.  I'm *assuming* that because she was singing, Amber wasn't asked to make surprised faces.  My vote is Lea, mostly because I don't think it's Jenna and she's the only one left!

Maybe it's my bias, but there's a difference between tripping over your memorized line, and trying to make a joke out of laughing and not knowing your lines.

I actually got the idea from the article that part of the problem with the lines was that they were so damn cheesy. Which probably played a roll in them struggling. I think asking for lines is pretty common. (Actually, the article said that Naya was the only person to not miss a line.)

Regardless, giggling before a line doesn't necessarily mean he was trying to make a joke out of not knowing his line. He could have been giggling because of something else going on, and then forgetting his line. Meanwhile, Morris' sticking out her tongue playfully could also be construed as making a joke out of not knowing her lines. :P (Just to be clear, I don't think thats the case. I'm just saying it would be easy to construe it that way. I think it's likely she was just tongue tied.)

I think it's cause someone on here probably wrote actress when they quoted the article. I actually think it might be Jenna cause we don't see her react in surprise at all when the couples walk down the aisle and the article makes reference that the reaction was cut from the episode.  Everyone else has some sort of puzzled/surprised expression at some point.  I think the article makes it sound like a bigger deal than it is though and is purposely kind of catty.

Yes, I also thought it was about the cheesiness of the vows, which was mentioned. I like director's etc. commentaries on DVDs, and actors often mention how they go into fits of laughter in the middle of lines, and can't compose themselves for a while. Some actors even make funny faces at their partners when the camera isn't on them, and the poor partner has to keep calm and act the scene. The behind the scenes reality can often be very different from what our biases tell us.

I thought #14. and also #13 about Chord were more shady.

Was it here that somebody posted they read a rumor that Chord and Gwyneth Paltrow may be dating? Because he's definitely at the Oscars and I can't figure out why he would be there (at the actual ceremony). So it got me wondering if that was true and perhaps he was with her or something...? Hmm.

I kind of have this irrational hate for Gwyneth though so I kinda hope it's not true though.

It's not an irrational hate; Gwyneth is an idiot. She has no concept of everyday peoples struggles. She's the Marie Antoinette of our times.

LOL the Klaine Kraken They didn't mince words there at all.

I was delighted that they both seem to embrace the BLURT, which is what I've always used, because I hate the word "Klaine."  It sounds like a hemorrhoid medication.

I can see this being the case, and I thought it was very perceptive of Chris.  In my case, the K/B romance (through, oh, The First Time or so) reminded me (at my relatively advanced age) of what it was like to be 16 and in love for the first time.  And then the writers turned Blaine into a big old neurotic mess and things went to hell in a handbasket, and I found myself craving a partial lobotomy so I could stay on the ship without making myself absolutely insane.

Curious what other people took besides Kevin and the wheelchair.

Personally, I was coveting the Figgins "ACHIEVEMEEEENT!" t-shirt Kevin was wearing on wrap day.  We wants one, precious!

I think Lea taking Finns jersey was sweet.I pretty sure she has Rachels Finn necklace too. I would think they all have some sort of memento from their characters. Except maybe their puppets because they were a little creepy especially in context of the episode.
