  1. I enjoyed this episode, but honestly, both Amelia AND Meredith annoyed the crap out of me! Amelia was just unsufferable, and I was done with Meredith once she slammed the door in Callie's face. I think it's hard for me to sympathize with them since I've watched years of these doctors making mistakes, some fatal. Acually, almost everyone this episode annoyed me. Alex is a terrible boyfriend, and that Jo and Stephanie fight grated. I think what they were trying to do was have Jo try to relate to Stephanie but she took it the wrong way because she doesn't want to be defined by her disease (hence why she kept it to herself in the first place) but neither actor is strong enough to pull of the nuance that this requires. And Owen, seriously? Relieved because you thought Christina was dead. You know things are bad when Maggie, April, and Arizona are part of the few likeable characters of the night. Stay tuned in the future for a very special episode of Callie discovering Arizona and Penny in bed together...
  2. Actually not too suprised. The show is like a "scary" version of Glee without singing, so no surprise considering Glee's ratings were in the toilet by the last few seasons. People were able to see the similariies in the promos, and were like thanks, but no thanks.
  3. I didn't really like it. I found my mind wandering mutliple times during the show. Part of the problem is the show is missing heart, light and shade, which wouldn't be a problem if the show was funnier but I only laughed at the Hester parts. I think the main reason I didn't care for it though, is Emma Roberts is just not strong enough to carry this type of role. I found her performance very one note, so to have the show focused so much on her brought what could have been a great show down a lot. It really is like seeing what Glee might have been like with a crappy lead. I didn't hate it though, so I'll keep watching. Hopefully they turn it into more of an ensemble as I found all the other characters way more interesting than Chanel (well, everyone except the token "nice girl").
  4. I totally agree. I would not have have apologized. But then again I will admit to being biased because I'm not a fan of Caitlyn AT ALL. But that's a whole other topic.
  5. Just read Stephen's interview and not sure how he's insulting the other Hedwigs. Saying he can sing the score higher isn't bashing the others.
  6. Ugh, I knew Lea would suck me into watching this show. I don't wanna though!
  7. One thing I can see hurting Amber in the future is her voice isn't unique at all. You can go to any church choir and find someone with similar vocals. I believe that's a big reason why her solos didn't sell well. When you hear Lea and Naya, you know it's them.
  8. Oh I definitely agree that Glee sucked at writing the women. Rachel in particular. I like to joke that Amber is the best female writer of Glee, because the Mercedes virginity storyline that she helped with was better than pretty much almost anything these hacks came up with. See the Rachel losing her virginity to Finn storyline for comparison on exactly how to NOT handle that subject. I just wanted to point out the writers could be shitty writing for the guys as well. If they were taken advantage of physically, it was treated as a joke (see Blaine and Ryder), and pretty much everything about the characters of Finn and Blaine was handled badly IMO.
  9. Oh ok I see. For me, the difference is Blaine was never shown doing anything suspect to Sam (at least that I remember). I didn't think there was anything wrong with either crushes as long as both respected physical boundaries. Blaine did, Tina didn't.
  10. In terms of Lea solos on Glee for me it goes: 1. Being Good 2. My Man 3. DROMP I agree Being Good was the better vocal performance, however in the context of the show having Being Good come after It's All Coming Back to Me Now works because it shows her growth from being in a high school glee club vs a competitive arts college.
  11. At the bolded, Tina deserved all the ridicule and more. She basically molested Blaine. If a guy character did that to a girl while she was sleeping there would have been hell to pay. I hated that the characters just made a joke of it instead of really hurting her feelings because man did she deserve to be told off. This show was so weird when it came to what it picked and chose to use as PSAs.
  12. I think it's still too soon to say the album is DOA. People also said he had no career prospects after Glee and we saw how that turned out....
  13. I agree. As for that Cory/Matt/Chris video. Not everyone is bullied in high school. Not Matt's fault he had a great high school experience. I found their reactions to be really dumb. He's a lot nicer than I am for taking their reactions in stride.
  14. I know there's no use in complaining at this point, but seriously, I.DON'T.CARE.ABOUT.THE.NEWBIES. The time they spent on Spencer and Roderick could have been spent on Blaine, Kurt, and hell even Sam. They could have brought Mercedes and Artie in since those two actors are under contract. I can understand there not being focus on the oldies who are guest stars (because they may not be able to get them for an episode), but for the people they do have under contract, why are they not focusing on them? Right now at this point Rachel is the only one who is getting any sort of real story with the rest getting throwaway lines like Kurt going back to Nyada and Blaine getting into NYU (did we even know he applied before this episode?!). And I don't even care abut the other characters besides Rachel that much so that should tell you something. Anyway, Lea + Jon = love. Always. Only thing in this episode worth watching and it appears Jesse has matured somewhat, but hasn't lost too much of his bite. I groaned that he joined in on the male lecturing of Rachel but he wasn't too preachy thankfully, and he spoke the truth about the mistake being leaving Funny Girl too early.
  15. Maybe. But it would have been nice to see Rachel in a relationship for once where she as a woman isn't getting lectured like a child by a man. That wouldn't have happened with Puck or Jesse because she'd have the higher moral ground in the relationship. Also, Lea and Cory had like -1424242 chemistry. Tons of chemistry in real life, in character, like none at all. I can deal with bad writing if the chemistry is there, but Rachel and Finn didn't even have that, in addition to Cory's limitations as a singer. Lea has chemistry with Mark and Groff on screen in spades so even if it all went to hell, I'd at least have some damn good duets, and fun on screen chemistry to entertain me.
