OMG, that blog he used to do was so bizarre.  I'm conflicted when it comes to Peck.  He is an ok Austin and that blog and videos he used to do were pretty silly, but then you see him in interviews and he comes off as such an obnoxious prick it can be hard to root for him.

He was at some promotion for CBS soaps, when he was on As the World Turns. I introduced myself and asked him what it was like to work with Aly, and he told me that he wasn't on that show anymore and promoted his current show instead. What. A. Douche.

As neither a fan of Peck or Muldoon, I wonder if any of you have an opinion of their interactions with Christie Clark. Despite what writers did with her character as she aged, I always enjoyed her as a child actress. And I seem to remember more chemistry with her and Peck, but I could be wrong?

I guess we are the only ones that like Carrie on this board..I do think that she had more chemistry with Peck, but, I prefer Muldoon, only because his Austin had more fire and intelligence during the early days of Carrie/Austin written by Sheri Anderson....I also loved the sibling relationship between Muldoon's Austin and Rinna's Billie...Austin played the piano, while Billie sang...The other combinations of Austin/Billie never worked for me..For example: Peck's Austin and Porn star Billie had sexual chemistry and it always creeped me out...lol

I never liked Krista Allen (is that her name?) as Billie. Lisa was okay in the roll when she was younger. I actually liked Julie Pinson too. She seemed likable to me. 

And are people hating on Christie or on Carrie? I was watching old videos of a young Chrsitie and I thought she played very well off of Drake and Deidre. And as much as Drake's acting ability is sometime....cringeworthy....I actually think HE is likeable. Especially as a dad, but I'm thinking that could also be just his real life "dad abilities" coming out at work.

Krista was porn star Billie...Julie Pinson was a great Billlie..I love Carrie and Christy..However, most people on here love Sami, so, Carrie is called, self-righteous, bland, boring....She is favored by Marlena over Sami...Drake and Christie had awesome chemistry as father/daughter...I feel that Carrie got the shaft by James E. Reilly, in favor of Sami..It is easier to write a nasty bitch like Sami, it takes a skilled writer like Sheri Anderson to write a flawed, rootable, likable, sympathetic heroine...

I'm in the minority. I NEVER liked Sami. I tolerated her with Lucas. But once it turned into The Sami Show costarring SORASed EJ - I was out .

Same here. Once all of the vets got fired and Sami became the "heroine" I was out...Wilson brought me back to the show...The sad thing is that the show wants to model every female character after her....Look at what they did to Theresa....

Hey, don't forget about me.  We have been defending Carrie on this site for years together.  No small task I may add. :)

I haven't really thought about who had better chemistry with Christie; Peck or Muldoon.  It can be hard to say sometimes.  I mean Muldoon was the original who started things in motion but Peck played the character longer opposite Christie I believe. I will say I agree that Peck's Austin wasn't always the sharpest tool in the shed and I don't know why his version comes off as more "clueless" than Muldoon's ever did.

I'm a Carrie fan too.  I loved her from the time she first showed up with Andrea Barber in the role. Also loved Christie Clark's Carrie. And I loved Patrick Muldoon's Austin and never took to Austin Peck.  Of course, I stopped watching regularly when the characters were still young, so I'm sure I missed a lot of drama.

Carrie was never a hypocrite....Sami sure was.. I had to watch Sami throw Marlena's affair in her face for years, it was so satisfying to see Will call her a whore and a skank after she fucked EJ in the middle of the Dimera living room..Your son Johnny is missing and presumed dead and you sleep with EJ..Who is the whore now, Sami?  Carrie was never favored by Marlena. The Carrie/Marlena relationship was a totally different from the tumultuous one that she had with Sami....Carrie is Marlena's daughter just like Sami is. The same goes for Brady, he is her son, just like Eric..Sonny is Arianna's dad, just like Will.. Victor will never be Bo's dad, Papa Shawn was....The show has always been good to show that blood does not make a family...

Days is turning into As the World Turns towards its last few years with all the comings,  goings and returns.   First  Shelle,  then Lani and now Eric.   Granted they are all legacy characters but geez. 

I feel like I'm getting serious vertigo with this show doing this crap over the last 2.5 yrs. 

SETTTLE ON FUCKING CAST ALREADY.   And if it's a budget (which it usually is) then just say so. 

As for story,  It’s quite evident what the show will do with Eric is what they did with Gabi.   Eric will do close to a year in the clink and he'll get some type of release for good behavior.   I'm fine with this so as long the writers can fix his character from what TomSell did to him with Serena/Elephant,  Kristen's rape and Griffith having him kill St.  Daniel.   Something also tells me that if he's back for some long return,  aka back on contract,  either Dario or Deimos will be gone soon.   No way Nicole is going to have 3 men fight over her.   I prefer it be Dario because the writers don't quite know what to do with him and his daddy issues are tiresome,  but something tells me Deimos/VI might get cut since he was a Griffith/Santa Barbara actor.

That is true, it is obvious that Dena and Josh could not work together in the long run.....Dena may be a hack, but, she does know the history of the show..Josh is a morbid hack, he turned Hope into a murderer, Joey into one as well..Chase into a rapist, and Ciara into his victim, stripping her of the qualities, that young Ciara had in spades....Deimos needs to go because he is the new Daniel, he even slept with the same women as he..Why should I care that Chloe is keeping him from his child? I would care, if it was Brady or Philip, because she had had popular pairings with both...Justin should be the head of the Kiriakis family after Victor and not the new Daniel a.k.a Deimos..

If they give Eric/Nicole another shot they might throw Deimos back to Chloe. I actually don't mind Chloe so I don't know how I would feel about her being paired with Deimos. On the one hand if she doesn't have a love interest they would probably be more likely to get rid of her. On the other hand he's kinda ridiculous and all over the place.

I so agree... I don't mind turnover, but the back-and-forth feels so pointless.  Eve is also on the revolving return carousel, she'll be back again before KdP takes her medical leave, and we know Jen Lilley has filmed some after Theresa's exit as well.

I like Deimos and I do like he and Nicole but the story and set up how that character was brought on was horrid.   Josh Griffith had no idea what  to do with any of these characters at all hence why some got written off and now being brought back under this writing team. 

I can only hope that Eric gets a true redemption story because my goodness he has been a shell of himself since Tomsell thought it was great story destroying the character by him being raped by Kristen and ending up with with elephant girl Serena.  If there is one thing that I can say about Days when they fuck up certain characters like an Eric they will clean up.

I can dig Chloe and Deimos.   They have chemistry too.  Faux Philip will be leaving soon so I don't see why not. 

I think I read though on Days Cafe that Phloe might leave together towards the end of the year in one of the spoilers.

My problem with Deimos, is that he is superfluous and what was the point of  creating a fake Kiriakis, when we already have Justin, Brady, Sonny and Philip with lots of stories, left to tell..Not to mention, Alex, Joseph and Victor Jr who are Justin's sons and heirs to the Kiriakis legacy..The show should be building the future of the show via their vast legacy children..It is ridiculous that Steven and John who are in their 60's are getting into gunshot battles..They should play supportive roles in their children's adventure storylines....I love the vets, but, depending on them solely, hurts the show in the long run...

I didn't know JL had been filming again. So I'm going to assume they gave Theresa a rushed exit like they did Shawn and Belle and then brought her back to give her a proper exit.

This is the role Shawn should have been playing this past year while they couldn't figure out what to do with him.  John and Steve lurking around with a gun may be good for some nostalgic thrills, at least the first few times, but seeing Shawn grow into that role in the wake of his father's death would have actually been a story.

Yeah, she posted a pic with a script and MSL in the last few weeks or so.  I got the impression from social media that her original exit was pretty heavy, though, so my guess is it's just a visit.

The writing is eluding that New York might be where Theresa ends up.   I think the writing is pointing in thar direction either in last Wednesday or Thursdays episode Eve wants her and the baby to live with her to get away from all the villains in Salem.

I think that little Tate will die and Theresa will exit after breaking up with Brady....This will the third Brady kid that Dena will have killed off. First Grace, Will and Tate....It is weird with Tate, every Brady child has been born with alot of fanfare....Tate is just like Theresa, they are not acknowledged as Bradys...There is no way that Kayla, Roman, Marlena, Caroline, Hope and Abe would be so indifferent to Kim and Shane's grandson...Thrady has never worked as a couple..They are just like Lucas/Adrienne, Eve/JJ, Daniel/Nicole , Chloe/Deimos and now Deimos/Nicole..I am not a chabbie fan, but, they have a history, to justify given them a child..Thrady does not....The same for Chloe/Deimos and Chloe/Taniel...

So happy to see that Greg Vaughn is coming back.  Eric was a new-to-me character when I came back to the show just over 2 years ago, and even though he spent too much time in that elephant story-line, I really liked him.

Wow, Vanessa Williams is coming to Days, and playing Valerie Grant.  I wonder what they have in store for her.  Will they go the traditional route and pair her with Abe or will they bring Julie's son David back for her since they used to be a couple.

Same with me. I left pre Taniel and didn't return until November 2013. Wilson brought me back. I never bought Theresa as another type of Sami. With Sami at least there was an explanation for her nasty behavior. With Theresa, it wasn't even close to plausible.

Plus, Sami has had moments of vulnerability, that was organic to her character..The show has told us that Theresa has changed, but, I see no evidence of that....They had to throw Kim and Shane under the bus, to make us feel sorry for her..Nope, I will never buy it.....

Disagree. I want Sonny either off the show or in someone else's orbit. Freddie is really inert these days. Sonny has no energy to give Derrick. And Derrick would be a great addition to the cast. Only if he doesn't sleep with both Sonny and Paul. Will did that and....ewwww.
