Yeah, I know the boys aren't crazy about the shirtless scenes, but they could throw us one every once in a while.  Or at least strip down to two layers of clothing instead of the usual three or four.  I don't think that's asking for too much!

Is it weird that I thought the glasses were adorable on both of them in the last episode -- especially Dean? Maybe because I wear glasses/contacts, or because I know Jensen used to, but I could go with glasses on Dean for a while. Mmm.

I love that one too! I definitely think the extra growth gives Misha a rugged look that doubles his appeal :D ! And the glasses just add to it hehe

I have to say I am not a fan of that color at all.its like a rusty red but Jared looks good anyway .

I'm totally focused on Dean's hair. It's getting close to demon Dean length and it looks so good.

I too thought it was getting close to that Demon length! Oh no now I am picturing soul survivor and demon!dean ruffling his hair....

I'm not sure it's the same jacket since I don't recall a brown collar. But I have to say I could never understand why they put Dean in that orange jacket during one of his most powerful acts of the season - killing Abaddon. During that whole scene it was the jacket that took my focus away from the action. LOL

ETA: Yes, LOVE Dean's hair!

Maybe they are color coordinating him with the wallpaper? (Since it has a bunch of rust in it also.) Dean seems to be picking up the olive color in the wallpaper. I like Sam in deep blues and green blues best. It seems to bring out the green and/or blue in his eyes. I think Dean looks good in that olive green color.

That might be.  Sam just needs that shirt with the rusty colored stripes to wear with the rusty colored jacket.

I could make a joke that Dean is about to disappear into background so much so that he's confused for wallpaper.

Dean's hair is the first thing that drew my eye; he looks good! Jared looks good but I think the rust colored jacket kinda washes him out. Then again I'm biased because I hate all orangey colored tones on sight *shudders*

Since we are all about Dean's hair, let me say the front of it looks good.  Can they please stop shaving the rest of his head, though?  I don't like the crew cut or Ceasar look, or whatever that is supposed to be.  Bring on Season one hair, at least!

Gods that was the FUGLIEST thing he's ever been made to wear in this show.  It was AWFUL.

Huh I just realized that Dean's green jacket looks like some kind of waxed suede and it also is reminiscent of John's jacket IMO.

I'd love a scene of them shopping for clothes.  Do they buy at Hunters Are Us shop, or whatever?  Are the fake credit cards ever refused or questioned?  I dunno... could be fun to see.  (More fun than a lot of the drivel this season imo) 

Or maybe them being measured for the FBI suits?  Dean could buy off the rack MAYBE... but Sam at 6'4" would definitely have to be measured with a tape measure.

They've got great bodies.  They keep themselves in great shape.  I mean... couldn't a script have them in t-shirts just once...?  The Salvatore brothers LIVED in snug fitted t-shirts.

Fan Fiction.  Dean in a T-shirt with eye porn shots of Baby.  Now we didn't get Sam in a T-shirt but Jared had dropped a ton of weight due to his shoulder injury.  Dude must need to workout all the time to stay buff.  But we got completely shirtless Jared in 12.02 (okay, it was a mind rape scene so that REALLY undercut the pretty).

There was this FANTASTIC online catalogue that somebody posted here once that had tons of different wardrobe pieces for tons of different characters on tons of different shows. SPN was included. Huge amounts of the Winchesters' wardrobe came from Target, apparently. I wish I could find that catalogue again, it was AMAZING. Really encyclopedic. Does anybody else remember seeing that?

The link must still be in one of the threads on this board, but I don't remember the topic/title of the specific thread. If anybody wants to join me in looking, I THIIIIINK I remember the concert I went to the night the link was posted, so I looked up my concert tickets -- if I'm right, the link would have been in a post from (or around) Nov. 18, 2015.

@rue721, if you can remember any potential unique words that might have been in the post - like say "wardrobe" - you can use the search function in the top left corner. Just remember to put this board in the parameters so it doesn't search all of the PreviouslyTV forums.

I use that function a lot, especially over in the hangman thread to see if a potential quote I might want to do has already been done.

I tried using the search function like you said, but couldn't find it. Oh well. Was hoping someone else remembered that thing.

But the long and short of it is that I was incredibly impressed that Jensen and Jared could look so killer in basically normal Target clothes, for the most part.

Their FBI suits were really expensive though. $5,000+

I think they shop at Army-Navy surplus stores, Goodwill/Salvation Army, MAYBE Walmart. Cheap cheap cheap. At least I've always had the impression John raised them to do that. Or maybe I've read too much fanfic...but for a long time Sam could wear hand me downs and even now we know they share some clothes. I always thought Dean was so cute in Sam's shirts when he came back from Hell bc they were big on him but JP was pretty big back then if I remember correctly. 

 

All that to say I know the actual clothes are not cheap used goods. But my HC is that they hate spending more than $5 on an item of clothing and about the only things they buy new are undershirts, boxer briefs (at least Dean!), and socks. And maybe boots. 

 

Both boys are smoking tonight.

I don't mind the haircut, I love that he's clean shaven. I know that's not popular today, but I like a man without facial hair...or a wee bit of stubble. Maybe he shaved because he likes to nuzzle his babies and doesn't want to hurt them. :)
