I'm just surprised no one took advantage of the "and no, it's not a porno" joke regarding Bry-Dog's new job.

No one until me, I guess. ;)

I was too traumatized tbh.   Dude is bald, creepy stare, and wearing a bandana.  Is he trying to seduce me or rob me?  I don't want to know.

Thats because this new "project" is Thighbolt recording Bry-dog's drive to work with a go-pro for his first shift at Burger King.

This is literally the best thing ever written in life.

There's an Afterbuzz MT interview and he says JVP tested for Julian. That would have been fun, heh.

Holy crap.  That would've been electric tbh.  I mean, no way could he have scenes with KeMo if they were really going to do Sam as Julian's kid because I'm seeing inappropriate chemistry all over the place, but the Sonny/Julian scenes, not to mention Julian/Alexis, Julian/Lucas, hell Julian/Ava would've been so better.  I'm kinda sad that we never got to see Dr. Not Carlos treat Danny just for a little chem test with KeMo/JVP because they'd probably spark.   Sigh.

EXCLUSIVE
BRYAN CRAIG DISHES HIS GH EXIT
October 14, 2016 12:34PM

Bryan Craig tells Soap Opera Digest exclusively that he made the decision to leave GH as Morgan after a three-and-a-half-year run in order to make himself available for other projects. “It’s really hard to schedule anything when you’re at GH under contract,” he explains. “There had been some projects that I had gotten close on — and some things that I wasn’t even able to give a shot because of the scheduling [challenges]. My manager and I just wanted to free ourselves up and see what came through.” He admits that taking the leap didn’t come without some nerves. “Giving up your weekly paycheck is always a scary thing,” he notes. “But I talked about it with a couple of close friends and my parents, too, and Kelly [Thiebaud, ex-Britt, his fiancée] definitely pushed me to go out there and see what I can get. Maurice [Benard, Sonny] was also a big supporter of me going out there and doing my thing.” He is grateful to his GH boss, Executive Producer Frank Valentini, for his gracious handling of Craig’s desire to move on. “Everything went really smoothly with Frank,” he praises. “He was great about it. We negotiated the time to work out the storyline and all of that, and everything was fair on my end and his end, and he was very, very supportive.” The actor says that he has never regretted his decision. “I kind of do things and don’t think about them afterward; I’m kind of like that with everything! So, after I decided to leave, I didn’t really worry about it. It was more like, ‘What am I going to do next, to make this decision the best decision I could have made?’ And I wanted to do good work leading up to the end, that’s for sure.” For much more from Craig, who discusses his reaction to his exit storyline, how he’s changed since joining GH in 2013, how he fought for Emmy-worthy material and what he’ll miss most about Port Charles, check out the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, on sale now.

Well, yeah, that's why you're under contract: Someone else gets first crack at your time, but you get a regular paycheck. He's not complaining, exactly, but it's kind of ungrateful to say something like that.

To be honest though, it's weird to me that they even care so much about emmys. Sure it must be nice to win one but with so little competition it can't really feel the same.

I think the four major acting prizes—lead/supporting actor/actress—are still pretty competitive.

This is true. Especially when each cast is so large. Still feels a bit odd to me.

Especially if you're fighting to act out "emmy winning" material. They're going to use him if they do that.

WHAT?

heeee. don't you remember when he complained in a chat about the storyline, and tweeted Daytime Confidential/Frank people weren't really cool with the story? That was some fierce fighting.

I suspect he'll say something like he had a long deep talk with FV, but the truth is probably he whined to MB.

Oh, yeah, I remember that. I just find it hilarious this idea of Bryan fucking Craig putting up this huge fight for Emmy winning writing like he's some sort of Moses.

I went and found a recap from that time:

This was posted on DD supposedly from someone who paid for one of BC's chats.
He said "their EP" called him about the tweet (FV I assume?). Ron was mad about it. And then BC was all "I assume everyhing I say in here will stay here" LMFAO. He said Maurice really sticks up for him a lot. once they filmed a "difficult scene" and I guess TPTB were hounding him about it or something and he said Maurice "tore the set apart, threw script in the air" for the "way they were treating him".

Kelly was supposed to be there, but when the chat started he said she was out "doing errands or something, I don't know". MMkay.

He said being nominated for an Emmy two years in a row should warrant better, more stories.

you can tip him in these chats and somebody just tipped him $100, jesus

the one who tips him the most during this "wins" a phone call or something and now he's saying "oh Andrea is leading over Vicky", goating them to outtip eachother.. wow... he's a piece of work.

He just said he's not in the live episodes, "surprise surprise", lol

it was only 30 mins, just ended, there wasn't really that much more at the end. he basically just read aloud the compliments people in the chat room paid him... and then at the end goated the two chicks to tip more to win the phone call from him. lol.

Watch, Bryan will probably be a damn movie star lol.

I'd literally rather watch FV and Ron yell at BC while Mo rips up a script and trashes the set for an hour than anything that Jelly has attempted to write.  And I wonder if the ahem winners of the phone calls were ever on the show To Catch A Predator?  Just curious.

Gee, BryDog, this is shocking information.  I feel like it should be edited though, to say "I kind of do things and don't think about them afterward...until I have to hawk my car on social media and cross my fingers it sells fast."

Ugh, it's so money-grubbing and tacky. I don't begrudge him trying to earn a living, but it's gross that he's doing it off of his fans. You know he'd have been on MonaVie like white on rice if SBu were still on the show. (A quick google tells me the company went out of business last year; I wonder how desperate SBu will be for another job.)

From what I've read, it sounds like Monavie did SBu very good financially. If he has saved his GH/Y&R money well, he may be fine.

(And I guess his Port Chuck money too, heh.)

I was talking about BC.

Does that Monavie stuff even do what it claims to do (whatever that is)?

I somehow doubt it.

But it did have the power to convince Tropicana to stop sponsoring the show after this scene from 2008. I can only imagine how Steve convinced Guza to let this in the script (go to 4:10):

I remember how furious some people were at that. (I was in that group.) Besides the outrageous plug, that scene also had Jason acting idiotically stoic about being sick and Spinelli at his Spinelliest worst. A whole lot of UGH.

Gross.  Spinelli shirtless and wringing his shirt juice into a glass.  Because that will make people feel better?  I'm going to sound like Morgan for a minute (may he RIP, brah) but I feel dumb af for barely following with Spinelli.  Make that barely caring to follow along with Spinelli.  So, he got drunk and thirsty, which made Jason get an airborne illness, so he gave him magic berry juice, which he then spilled and had to blind us all forever?  And Steve Burton literally has the same facial expressions as BM in these scenes, btw.  Maybe BM seems nicer, but they both look at Spinelli in the same way.

Those Daytime Emmys are meaningless outside of the soap opera world.  I recall an interview a couple of years ago with Robert J Ulrich (husband of former soap star Kim Johnston Ulrich) who has been casting director for shows like Glee, Supernatural and American Horror Story among others, where he said he and his team don't care about who got nominated for a daytime emmy or who was on a soap because they're watching audition tapes first and don't always look at the resume.

He also co-owns a BBQ joint in Franklin, TN with Jonathan Jackson. Some friends went there recently and he was there and posed with them for pictures.
