I remember at the beginning of Chris' season reading an interview where he said he was a Rick Perry supporter. I lost interest in his season a bit after that.

The Valentine's show was definitely a guilty pleasure. I enjoyed it, and how happy Jade and Tanner seem. Also nice to see Trista and Ryan and Des and Chris--two of my favorite couples. (I always thought the wedding special for Trista and Ryan was actually dvd-worthy--nice to see the marriage still going strong all these years later).

I was hoping see more of Bachelorette Jillian (or, "Hottub Harris" as one contestant's parents once called her!).  I like her work on "Love It or List It Too".  It looked like she had a date with her at the reception, but we only got a brief glimpse of them.

And here's to another 20 seasons of this craptacular show!

Amen, Monkey!  Sad to say, this show is the only thing that gets me through Mondays (which is why I HATE "Dancing with the Stars" for usurping its timeslot)!

Speaking of which, it's on in three minutes!!!!!!!!  Wooo-hooo!

I know I am pathetic.  Enjoy the show, kiddies.

I know, right?! (tm Emily). Jillian is one of my fave B'ettes, crappy pick withstanding. That's her boyfriend of a few years, they went to Ashley/JP's wedding. I wonder why they haven't gotten married yet. I remember reading her tweets and blogs and she would always bring up marriage. I hope she isn't holding on to that relationship in the hopes of him proposing some day. She deserves better.

I love how they downplayed Ali and Rahbirdo's relationship. They actually showed her with Frank, who was always the guy I knew she wanted to pick but still.

Ashley and JPs kid was cute, but in dire need of a haircut. JP is the sweetest and the biggest catch anyone has caught on this franchise according to me. But I'm not impressed that he "helps" Ashley "50/50" with the kid. It's your kid, you're a father. It's not "help", and of course it's 50/50 - or at least it should be pretty damn close. Me also thinks Ashley's "fairy tale" train may come to a schreeching halt when she's bursting with number two and Fordy hits the terrible twos. He looked like a kid who won't go easy on his parents.

This a thousand times! Like JP is some kind of star for doing half the work when they both have jobs. On the plus side, I was watching with my teenage daughter and used it as a teachable moment :)

Personally I thought little Fordy was "breathtaking" /Seinfeld

I laughed at Chris Soules asking why they didn't get to sit on the couch and Nick Valli commenting back that because he'd be making out with someone on it. Then next thing you know Chris is dancing with 2 women. He was  never really wanting to settle down and marry.

I had to rewind that to make sure it was Nick sitting with Chris. If I recall correctly, Chris was driving the Nick-wrong-reasons train back on Andi's season!

Sadly I know many guys that don't help out their wives with their kids. It's sad.

Des is really pretty but to me the prettiest bachelorette will always be Meredith. She looks even better now. Followed by DeAnna but she was so horrid during her season that it overshadowed her looks.

Chris & Peyton Lampton were on Juliet Litmann's bachelor recap podcast last week and Chris was very open about Ali's season, maybe for the first time ever.  And he said that he and Roberto were totally playing for second place, that Frank was the guy from the beginning.    Of course Chris didn't say why Roberto proposed anyway;  my guess it was an "arrangement" with producers.   They could have worked out like the other Chris did with Des but I never, ever got the vibe that either Roberto or Ali were serious about being together and just did their thing for awhile for fame and then when an appropriate time had gone by, they both moved on.

Nice to see Chris and Des. They always seem like such a normal couple to me. Least famewhorish "winners" for sure.

Next to the first Bachelorette, their love story was still the best one. I like watching the YouTube videos.

Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that Fleiss & Co. didn't show their wedding on national television. They were too "normal" for them. Perhaps normal was good in this case.

JP and Ashley's baby is cute, but they named him Ford? Really? Poor kid.

I missed the first mention of his name so for the rest of that segment, I was thinking "they named their kid Forty, wtf"?? Makes Ford sound like a great name by comparison.

Geez! That was glorious! I've been watching this since the beginning (but missed a few seasons), so this was a very well done trip down memory lane. I could've done without the Ashley I. and Jared stuff, but everything else was awesome.

I enjoyed that a lot more than I expected, especially since I've only been watching since Chris Soules' season.

Highlights of the night were Mesnick teaching that other guy how to pull a Mesnick,

I love that he embraces that embarrassing moment and it's place in the show's history. He also seems like a really sweet dad, glad they are happy after the big drama.

I also thought it was very smart of him to add in that "hey, that shows Molly that it was always about her" since I guarantee he gets periodic reminders about dumping her, lol.

There was absolutely no reason for the Ashley I. drama to be included in this special.  The show needs to let this storyline go and most of all Ashley looks pathetic crying for a guy who has always only wanted to be friends.  I wonder if they are keeping Ashley around just in case none of Ben's rejects are Bachelorette-worthy. Let's hope not.

After watching the previews, I was trying to figure out what on earth Ashley I would have been melting down about at someone else's wedding. I have to hope she was just playing up to the cameras and isn't genuinely upset over Jared after all this time.

I did think they were cute together as friends and it was funny when she said "hey, remember when YOU wanted to go out with Jade, hahahaha..." What a different ending there might have been if Jared had gotten to Jade before Tanner.

Ashley I would be a train wreck as the B'ette, but I do find her entertaining on TV so I wouldn't hate it if she came back to BIP. She doesn't seem like a bad person so her drama and histrionics are fairly harmless.

I thought it was the best Bach wedding on TV. I thought Jade looked absolutely gorgeous. And it was really classy. ABC went all out for them.I got teary eyed when Jade walked down the aisle and full out cried during the vows. I am so happy for both of them.

It was a lovely wedding and they really do seem happy, hopefully they make it in the long run.

Overall, my favorite part was probably the bloopers. I can watch people tripping and sliding down stairs all day. Also, a producer making fun of Chris Soules' flat, midwestern pronunciation of "confident [cah-nfident]" cracked me up.

I still want to know what happened with Chris and Whitney! They never bring her up. I want to rehash--look what Jake had to go through when he broke up with-STOP INTERRUPTING ME!!!! I also wanted to see more of drunk Chris picking up ladies.

I couldn't help but smile watching the first meetings of the couples who eventually got together. It's kind of amazing to have your first impression recorded!

The "Contestants We Loved to Hate" could've been a lot longer and replaced most of Ashley I.

JP is the sweetest and the biggest catch anyone has caught on this franchise according to me.

So much this! He is my fave Bachelor ever. Ashley is one lucky lady--loved seeing the Ben F proposal rejection again!!!

One Bachelor nation couple that doesn't seem to be around d is Holly and the dentist guy. Didn't they meet on a Bachelor Pad season?

They were supposed to be there per Holly's Instagram, but got snowed in and their flight was cancelled.

Oh my lord, did nobody think Ashley (of Ashele and JP) had bizarro overly-dark eyebrows?!!! I couldnt work out why she looked so different...then...wowsers! ...

Noticed that, too. All she needed was red lipstick and she could audition for Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. He looked good though...

Dear hubby and I watched this last night (I was flying on VD during the broadcast). He wasn't watching during the Jake P. season but was aware of the suicide earlier in the week. I had to stop the DVR and explain when Jake was on and make the tie in.

DH thought Jake was a jerk. Could explain his absence. Hasn't he shown up to stuff before??
