Stop playing trump's greatest hits at his rallies. Are we really going to go there again?

All the shows/stations do it.   Lately the one of him ranting about Beto, Sanders, etc.  Free air time to poison the public mind against his political opponents.   The media needs an intervention.   It's addicted.

I must have missed this, and didn't see any posts about it here.   But it looks like Scarborough is still playing footsie with Trump.   This is nauseating:

At 72 and 76, respectively, Trump and Biden are among the oldest candidates seeking the White House in 2020. But the president’s comment came in the form of a tweet responding to “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough’s remark earlier Wednesday that Trump “looks like he’s about 20 years younger than a lot of Democratic candidates.”

“He can engage the audience,” Scarborough said of Trump on the MSNBC morning show. “He can engage viewers, despite the hateful rhetoric, despite everything else. You can see that guy is gearing up for 2020. And yes, Democrats, he’s going to be hard to beat.”

Trump commented on a tweet linking to a Washington Examiner article summing up Scarborough’s comments and wrote: “Thank you Joe and remember, the BRAIN is much sharper also!”

I couldn't help laugh when I saw the newest picture of JoMeeka! It showed the back of their heads, and they're looking at, either the White House or Capitol Bldg, I forget which one. Anyway, they're never in DC! Sure is misleading, like either one of them are political insiders. Well, I guess in their own minds they are, but we know better, don't we???

I saw that and my first reaction was, I guess it takes one bloated, overweight, egotistical maniac  to defend another. Joe will jump into trump's lap if he thinks it will help him. I'm ready to stop watching these two phonies. if Joe thinks his idol looks "20 years younger" than a lot of other candidates, he better get his vision checked, JMHO.

When I heard Joe go there this morning I figured it's just matter of time till the phone calls start.

Trump is 72, Biden is 76.  By Scarborough's reckoning, Trump looks "20 years younger," hence 56.   Scarborough is 56.

Such as what?  Lie?  Repeat things endlessly?  Lie some more?

Lots of pols do it.  The difference is his audience sees something in him that they don't see in other people/candidates.  You know, the stuff we never used to say out loud.

I also tuned in just in time this morning to find out those people that are always bothering Joe in airports are now stopping him to ask about KYV.  Even Meeks looked a little uncomfortable when he was droning on it was so blatant . . . ick.

It's outrageous that airports have not provided Joe with  a private escort through the terminals so he can avoid people bothering him.

I suspect that Joe's arrival at major airports creates a similar emotional reaction among passengers as to when the Beatles came to America in 1964

Joe should already have MSNBC provide him with a private jet.

Okay, so at that point, I switched to another channel. This constant plugging of KYV is ridiculous and tiresome at the same time. I thought yesterday's show was not too bad. Now that Joe is back, it's the same old blah, blah, blah. Joe can't fool anyone, anymore. He made that clear after his blatant "20 years younger" remarks.

I think Joe wants to keep Mika happy by promoting her KYV brand.

I thought Joe will tell America who's winning. Joe will recommend the policies & optics necessary for anyone he deems worthy to become President.

America needs Joe's wisdom & guidance.

If certain Democratic candidates were smart, they would hire comedy writers to compose killer retorts and zingers as ammunition against Trump.  That's the playing field Trump has created.   It's what gets coverage on TV now.  Take Mayor Pete's response to the Alfred E. Newman comparison on Jimmy Fallon, which was played and replayed on Morning Joe.   A Democrat who hires good comedy writers would have a leg up on Trump because Trump writes his own material which is never funny at all, just juvenile and mean.   We're back in the schoolyard, folks.   What we need is a clever, snarky kid who's not afraid to show up the bully.

When I saw the disgusting dog and pony show this morning I was feeling like it's time to just turn off the TV for the next 18 months.

I cannot watch his Henny Youngman Borscht Belt routine with M &J cheering him on.

Mika looks quite fetching in that red dress, but I keep waiting for her to don a white bonnet, considering the topic of conversation today.  Not that I'd blame her if she did.

Glad they have Gov. Bullock on.  He's impressive.

I watched 45 minutes this morning (although I muted all of Eddie's comments)

I turned off after Barnnicle read a statement trump made at a recent rally in Milwaukee. Which he said probably got little or no attention because it was a Saturday night. (because why should we miss a word he utters?)

Good Lord. It was so asinine and disgusting. There's no way I'missing Hardball tonight.  I really want to see and hear who these trump voters are.

My theory is they fall in three groups: Republicans who'd vote for a mud stain for office as long as it was a Republican mud stain; people who think "owning the libs" is somehow fun and worthwhile, and will do or say anything to further that; and really stupid people who actually believe everything Trump says (there was a recent poll where over 50% of people were opposed to teaching our children Arabic numerals in our public schools).

Barnicle just kicked it live to Steph.  Why didn't the dynamic duo interview the author and end the show?
Imagine watching Hardball or Ari's show, or any show, and after 45 minutes of Chris the final 15 is hosted by a random guest without an explanation.
What is more pressing than their job, that they'd both have to leave in the middle to be somewhere else?

If you watched Veep, this was an actual thing with one of the characters who was running for President. Of course,  there it was meant to be satire. Not so much here in the good ol' United States of 'Murica.

I am having trouble with my cable box so I missed most of the show. However, I did catch part of the show where Joe admitted that he liked several candidates that were running for the Democratic nomination. Joe started a rant about the Seven Dwarfs running in 1992 but Meacham corrected him & said that happened in 1988. Joe was startled but said he could tell a story about that race as well.

Viewers are lucky that Joe has so many anecdotes about so many election campaigns.

Did the panel discuss the Alabama abortion law?

Yes.

That's what prompted me to comment on Barnnicle's reading something from Trump's speech in Milwaukee

Viewers are lucky that Mika & Joe still appear on their own show. Joe will be busy this summer as he writes his much anticipated memoirs.  They might go to Maine or Martha's Vineyard so that Joe can concentrate .

Mika's KYV is sweeping North America. Millions of women need to understand how Mika became so successful.

Well, yes.  A perception bolstered by the scrum of cable "news" shows regurgitating and hyping each day's developments like sports analysis or those fanboy shows on AMC.   Morning Joe?  Talking Dead?  Same concept.

No. LOL

He came in after the show had started then went around the table shaking hands and introducing himself.

I compared him to a talk show host only because I couldn't think of any other show where it's acceptable for the host to come onto the set after their show has started.

If only Joe was 1/10 as funny as he thinks he is. What a jackass.  Please explain to me how people think he and Mika are the greatest people in the world; so nice and helpful with your little "I moved to NYC from the boonies and Mika gave me a great $15,000 a year job running to Starbucks for her and writing out how to pronounce words on her scripts.

I imagine it's not easy reading from a teleprompter, and it takes a lot of experience doing it to sound "natural"; however, Mika always sounds like this is her very first time reading from one.

I would think 15 years of doing the news might make you a little bit of an expert at reading a teleprompter. I don't notice any of the other hosts of any shows struggling to pronounce words and  pausing at the wrong time.

Monday Recap.

Joe is in Florida. Mika is in Washington for a special interview with Nancy Pelosi.

Joe likes Mayor Pete & think he is the future of the Democratic party.

Joe said it was a good idea to ignore Trump's tweets.

Joe tried to impersonate Chris Matthews and said "this kid was special" in his voice.

I love how they were gushing all over Mayor Pete in the first hour and then got a load of what the Internet had to say about them especially from African Americans and suddenly they are like well of course he has to address what he's going to do for African Americans.  Couple that with them discussing what candidates need to do to win and somehow dragged Reagan into it.  I was in the kitchen so I couldn't see them but that table never sounded older, whiter or more clueless about how things have changed so drastically for the middle class.

Oh poor Nancy Pelosi.  MSNBC sends Scoop to interview her?  What a waste of the Speaker's time.

And there it is, the obligatory plug for KYV . . . click.

Chris Matthews was on again today; maybe they could just give him Barnicle's chair and give the Hardball time slot to someone else.  But I have to wonder if Chris has some kind of project in the works; maybe he will need a morning platform to promote said project.  Has Joe ever guested on anyone else's show?  At least in the last couple of years?
