I want Sara to be happy, but crazy looks good on her.

It reaaaaaly does. She looked awesome. They're setting up such a great story/backstory for her.

LMAO Ray's still stalking Felicity even when he's miniature size. Hahahaha. Sorry. I had to. I know not everyone thinks he's a stalker. It made me chuckle though.

The only time I truly raged at Ray last season was when he electrocuted poor sweet Roy....but that's still funny.

My reaction to this episode in six letters and one space: OTA FTW. Great that Ollie and Diggle could squash their beef . . .  and even if they hadn't done that, they're better than the rest of Team Arrow, who brought Sara back from the dead. Seriously, once Nyssa kills Malcolm (aka Ra's Al Druhl), I hope she finds peace by beating the snot out of Laurel and Thea.

Nice use of a Flash villain, and neat that Cisco got credit for naming him. Also . . .  is anybody else thinking of Curtis as "Terry"? He's miles behind his canon counterpart, but he already built a T-Sphere! Granted, it blows up, but it's a start.

Okay I'm still confused. Why did Laurel think putting Sara in the Pit was a good idea? What was her counter argument to what was happening to Thea and what Malcolm and Nyssa were saying? Did I miss something...

The way Laurel was like "Daddy is going to be so happy" was creepy. Did you want to be Dad's favorite?

This is going to be odd but my favorite scene was when the boys were standing behind Felicity while she did some HIVE research. The "you were supposed to be more evolved" with Diggle and Oliver's responses, it was so old school OTA. I just started grinning. Everything with these three was so on point tonight. It was like a breathe of fresh air.

Curtis and Felicity are hitting the right note. I loved the Ms. Smoak/Felicity bit.

I did enjoy Double Down. I really like JR Bourne. He wasn't wasted.

NM/DD is so making up for Ra's. Thanks for getting that right!

KL and WH hit it out of the park. I'm so happy WH is getting this storyline. I want more KL. I don't understand Malcolm. Or Laurel, no thought to Sara or Thea. She really has something against 'sisters.'

I tune out every time they come on. So much so that I didn't even realize FB Oliver had gotten a haircut last week until I read it on the boards. And tonight when I saw posts about hybrid drugs and poppy fields, I was like, "huh?" I can't be bothered. All of this stuff happened in the past, so it has no real stakes for the present day story, and that's not a recipe for making me care.

The cards were magnetized because of the tattoo ink so all he needed to do was key into the card that Felicity and Curtis had.  Granted the elevator was faster but maybe he ran down the stairs.

He arrived like a second after them which means he knew where to head before they even arrived at their destination, plus he took the stairs, plus I assume there's some sort of lock on a heavy duty door that he had to get through. Even Barry would have had trouble accomplishing this. I mean, it's tv logic, but still, they could have cut the scene when Felicity and Curtis arrived and had Double Down enter at the start of the next one.

I forgot to mention that JR Bourne is smoking and Double Down can escape from Iron Heights at any time.

He keeps getting hotter, it's cray. I still cannot believe Martouf ended up as the hottest guy on Teen Wolf. Edited by dtissagirl

Loved the OG Team Arrow stuff and this was a great episode for Felicity. More interested in the Thea stuff than I thought I'd be, I really felt for her this episode and it made me even more angry that Laurel brought her back to Nanda Parbat where Malcolm basically got to turn her into a murderer . . . again. Ugh.

I really loved that this time Oliver got to tell Digg that he wasn't alone anymore and that they'd find Andy's killer together *sniff*

I enjoyed OTA scenes a long with Curtis/Felicity scenes. I even enjoyed seeing more of Damien Darhk's because now we know he has partners and is not the leader of HIVE.

The only good thing about the B-Storyline was Nyssa. She was making soo much sense and I hope we get see her end Malcolm one day.

Man, that was an awesome episode, Laurel Dumbass Lance aside.

Ok, I'll start with the crap first. So....Laurel wants to bring Sara back, doesn't even mention wanting to help Thea to Malcolm and then pouts when he says no? She literally didn't get why not until she had it spelt out, and then she still didn't process it! She has 'hope' but it's not like Sara's been day a couple of days here. It's been over a year.

I'll be honest, though I loved Nyssa poisoning the Pit, part of me REALLY wanted her to exact revenge by going and bringing Tommy's body to the Pit and resurrecting him. That way, LP!Tommy would be going after not only Malcolm for killing him, but Laurel for second-hand killing him. Kill two birds with one LP, I say!

But Nyssa was amazing. I love her telling Laurel how it is, and then blaming her. I can only hope for her survival at this point. I was ok with Malcolm telling Laurel no, but was disappointed with the rest of his scenes. So, is he going to send Thea three assassins to be sacrificed every month? I guess she could try killing him to see if her killing 'thirst' subsides.

Yay! OTA IS BACK! I'm so super glad Diggle and Oliver are getting back on the right path. I'll say they still have some kinks to smooth out (hopefully, the last thing being Oliver apologizing to Lyla and baby Sara?) but overall, I'm thrilled Diggle's finally opening up to Oliver in terms of forgiveness. I was so agreeing with Oliver about his point of why he wasn't open to forgiveness.

Felicity from season 1 and 2 is back, at least. Her yelling at the boys and then wielding a machine gun was all kinds of awesome. I did want Oliver to do more than ask her if she's ok from a distances, but I'll take what I can get. I'm also just thrilled that we got some awesome OTA scenes, especially the last one.

I liked Double Down and I'm guessing we'll get to see him again. Which is cool, because I love JR Bourne and he did a great job here.

Yeah, I also noticed the guy not shooting Diggle and thought it had to be someone like Andy. Which....eh, I'd rather it wasn't. Leave the dead alone, please.

DD is a pretty solid villain, I will admit. He's grown on me.

Ray, stop messing with Felicity's phone. She has enough to deal with, with pouting man-children (who are finally maturing) and metahumans and Curtis now knowing her secret.

And finally, Crazy LP!Sara was awesome. I still wish she was brought back a different way. She's going after Thea, her actual killer, and not Malcolm. Which, boo.

So many things I loved -- Felicity calling out her boys, and the reconciliation between Digg and Oliver, Felicity and the gun. But yes to the continuity errors -- the girl who can count cards and knows everything there is to know about detailing a casino pit over the coms doesn't know an outside flush isn't a thing? I thought they were joking so maybe it was a poorly written attempt to imply that Felicity is bad at lying? No clue.

Everything in Nanda Parbat was a mess. I don't understand Laurel's motivations minus the "I'll finally make Dad happy" which was SUCH a creepy line. And Laurel seemed so stoic (again, arms crossed in perpetuity), and I need Katie Cassidy to make me understand what the writers aren't providing. None of it is clicking the way I wish it would. Malcolm was crazy to bring back Sara (so tired of him), considering she's going to target Thea. And Thea just kind of stood around and was like "I guess this is happening." The abrupt turn from her wanting to leave after KILLING two people to them all raising Sara was poorly done.

Speaking of a mess, the flashbacks are so tiresome. Can we drop them yet? They throw off the pacing and cut out time best devoted to the other characters who really need it.

Something about this episode felt weird and off to me--I think it was just the direction, or maybe I'm just not used to all the new sets (I was almost relieved to see the NP set because it felt familiar), or maybe it's having a meta on Arrow, plus the Lazarus Pit, plus Damien and all his magic...I don't know. It made the OTA stuff feel almost incongruous. Like it was my old show greenscreened into something I didn't recognize. I...didn't totally buy it, to be honest, and all the repetition of "OTA" felt like over-compensation. Oh well, hopefully they walk the walk for the rest of the season!

I'm also not really used to CEO Felicity and I found her early interactions with Curtis kind of...off-putting. She seemed more like Ray in those scenes than like herself. Hmmm.

Also, the flashbacks are boring and gross so far, so I'm just going to FF and let you all fill me in on any important details for the rest of the season.

But! All was redeemed because Nyssa survived and said all the things I wanted her to say, and was right as usual. Now I hope she gets to act on those things someday and be the one who kills Malcolm. She is without question my favorite costumed heroine in this universe. *hearteyes emoji*

What the hell was Oliver trying to do in the first fight when he was providing "air support?" I know they probably thought the bike stunts looked cool, but seriously, he could have done a lot more just firing arrows.

Malcolm sucks so bad he's making me lose my love for John Barrowman, even from his Doctor Who days. I'm sorry, but I can't help it.

I have a feeling the motorcycle stunts are cheaper than the CGI of Arrows. I love DD, but they must be putting a pretty penny towards all of his magic tricks. I do love the motorcycle stunts, but even I have to admit after the initial flyover (which was cool) the rest of the stunt fell a little flat.

I'm already tired of The Ghosts, they just multiplying and are taken down at the beginning of every episode in some random location but we don't know why or what they are doing at these places. I am happy to finally get some smaller more detailed fight scenes in this episode. Oliver isn't used to dealing with metas which is nice.

Good ol'daddy Merlyn wanting his daughter to kill to quench her thirst. Lol I can't at Malcolm feeding Thea's thirst for blood. Is he just going to keep sending his men for her to slaughter? "Hey honey, here's your dinner!" lol. His whole reason to bring back Sara was lame though. "please daughter don't be mad at me for wanting you to kill people, here, you can bring your friend back! peace now?"

Felicity for the win for shutting Diggle/Oliver down. Though it is hard to expect everyone to rally at the ring of a phone. And it didn't take long for Diggle to reveal his secret so him divulging it to Laurel isn't much of a big deal now.

The hideout was way to easy to find.

They are doing a good job on the Oliver/Diggle front and Thea's storyline, but REALLY half-assing it on the Laurel/Sara front. They aren't putting nearly as much thought into it as they should be doing. Instead of allowing us into Laurels head and see her go through the motions of whether or not to bring back Sara, they just give us like 2 scenes. Can't believe (well I can) that they just threw away all the development they gave to Laurel last year, not to mention all the development they gave to Laurel/Nyssa.

I don't want for this to come out rude but what if they can see that she can't really do that type of work? I mean just look at tonight's episode. There was hardly any emotion on her face. When she walked up to chained Sara she sounded conceited to me. When Laurel faced her their was no expression and that forced Thea hug.

Yay for the OG!

Not buying that Double Down would get to their secret lair so quickly.

Yeah, why would he think they would even have a secret underground lair for him to go looking for?  Unless he was still tracking the card? Still, why would an express elevator be only slightly quicker than going down stairs and outside (presumably)  Fail.

Of all the mystical and unbelievable things that hapened in this ep, somehow the hardest one to swallow was that a girl who grew up in Las Vegas would not know the correct gambling terminology. Really?

I guess 21 is more her game.

Yeah, I'm betting that was Andy. I wonder what skill set he'd have that HIVE would want him for? And if they wanted him badly enough to fake his death or resurrect him or whatever, why would he be running around like a minion instead of doing something more important?

So, maybe it's NOT Andy.

Yeah, the guy who didn't kill him and the guy they caught were different people.  Tooth dude got killed cause he didn't kill himself quick enough, although I would have thought not staying caught counts the same as not being captured.

I'm wondering if this thing where the tooth only had half it's genomes or whatever.  Could DD be making some kind of soldier clones?  Is that why he is so quick to off them?  He has a spare copy lying around?  Yes I watched too much Smallville.

I've determined that Laurel is much easier to tolerate if you stop thinking 'Laurel Lance' and start thinking 'Katie Cassidy is trying to act.'

It all becomes so funny.

My new working theory is sometime in late S1, which is when the Blank Face mode *really* started to stand out, someone -- aliens or some secret government organization, probably -- replaced the real KC with an identical robot copy. Edited by dtissagirl

Yeah, I have to admit, Felicity ignoring that her phone was playing up was just OOC. She would fix that ish immediately. But I guess they're not ready for ickle Ray to be discovered yet so once again that was the plot forcing things but it's such a relatively small thing in the episode I'm just gonna let it slide.

I wasn't sure if I liked her saying he should respond a certain way when the CEO walked into the room. That part was a little off-putting. But the rest was totally fine.

Martouf and Henry (Sanctuary) in the same episode!  Although who knew Henry could be so nasty and have a Southern accent while doing it.

I like that Diggle and Oliver have  made up enough that Diggle is happy to tease him ("I thought there were going to be no more secrets." "It's a surprise.")  I especially like how it was done, with Felicity yelling at them to grow up and Diggle realizing that if only he'd taken the HIVE info to Oliver two years ago, he might have been more ahead now.

Oliver getting hit in the arm is exactly the reason why the sleeveless suit is STUPID. Badly done, comics! I mean Cisco!

Unprotected and shiny white arms shining in the moonlight.  I could see it with Diggle, maybe, but Oliver's arms unprotected make no sense.

Something that was reinforced by the fact that the "bullet" he took for Diggle went into the kevlar that is the body of the suit.  It makes me wonder if whoever designed the suit is secretly trying to get rid of him.

I know it's entirely coincidental but Felicity telling Diggle "you're supposed to be more evolved than him" is a nice rebuttal to all the phony racist theoriest of the last few centuriesl.

Best show of the season. Felicity rocks. She knocks sense into Diggle and Oliver. She has great chemistry with Curtis and can wield a machine gun. Nyssa and Thea sold their scenes. Plus, we had OTA and it showed why Laurel and Thea just aren't needed as part of the team.

But, how is it possible the Katie Cassidy's acting gets worse each week and why does her face not move at all. It's a frozen mask and she can't emote at all.

Actually, no. I rewatched and there are two guys. They are shooting at Diggle and then split off. One comes up behind Diggle, hits him over the head and points his gun at him for a second before running off. Then Felicity says that that guy got away like a ghost ("there's a reason why they're called ghosts") but she's got air support on the second guy, AKA the tooth dude Double Down killed, because of Diggle ripping off his mask.

I know, I was confused too until I rewatched.

Also don't really like the flashbacks so far. The drug thing was predictable. Also I feel bad saying this, but the FB LI looks really old. It just seems unnecessary to be in every episode, if nothing big is going to happen. Although I did see the first link between FS & FBLI, they both had moments with land mines.

Likewise, the FB also felt out of place because so much time also had to be spent in NP. Beyond the Nyssa scenes I found the NP scenes to be unnecessary long and a little jarring. I'm glad it was not the A plot, I'm glad SL is back and TQ story seems to be heating up (I don't understand it, but I'm invested). But the jumping from all 3 plots felt a little disjointed. I think they could have skipped either the FB or NP this episode. That being said, OQ torturing the guy was surprisingly hot and TQ/MM had a really great dynamic. So I can see why they wanted both, but it just makes for jarring edits because what was happening in SC was just so good.

Guy who didn't shoot Digg was guy who Double Down murdered the first time.  There was definitely something up there, though.  TOOOOO much hesitation.

I thought the guy who didn't kill Diggle was the one whose tooth they grabbed - the same one who Double Down killed as a demonstration for DD.

I will need to watch it again, but I thought there were two ghosts. But I could be wrong. There was definitely a lot of hesitation. DDown definitely killed the one they got the tooth from.

ETA - Thanks @LadyCalypso! Its hard to respond and follow all the simultaneous postings! But thanks for confirming there were two men.

I wonder if we're getting the flashbacks  because of their love of comics (Year One) rather than because it's a good story.

Speaking of which, I thought Oliver avoided Starling City because he was such a bad guy now. But here he's trying to save the woman. You can't have it both ways.

Well, the commercials for it claim that it's very effective!  Granted, those commercials didn't mention whether or not the FDA has approved its use on resurrected corpses, but ad time is expensive.

The problem is that those drugs take up to three months to have an effect.  And then it can take four or more tries of different drugs till you find the one that works.  As Malcolm said, no dead person has actually been Pitted before so they wouldn't know which one to use.

Malcolm was trying though. He injected Sara with the LoA LP knock-out drops as soon as she got out of the Pit.

Everybody's always alive.  I'm pretty sure Robert and Yao Fei will be popping back up at random moments.

Agreed flashback love interest is booooring.  But this is not surprising.  I'm just irritated the blue poppies are cocaine + heroin, bc who gives a crap (other than Laurel).  I hate drug addict storylines, and really, so much effort on Lian Yu with kidnapped workers and remote uninhabitable island for regular-ish drugs?  Also, it's a tiny plot of drugs.  Afghanistan heroin poppy fields are huge.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed that we're not getting darker Oliver. I mean, I know he wasn't ever going to go DARK dark, but I wasn't expecting this guy. He seems just like present-day Oliver to me (and it's not just because the wig is gone)? Like, I've always been able to tell the difference between the two, but so far there really isn't any difference at all.

Which puts Malcolm, who spent the rest of the episode offering up random mooks to his I MUST HAVE BLOOD daughter, somewhat ahead of Laurel in the "who cares more about Sara's wellbeing" department.

Even though I'm bored with the flashbacks I'm hoping FB Oliver gets darker and darker as the season goes on. I think he'll probably infiltrate himself so well with these people that the lines will start to blur. That's what I expect anyway because otherwise I agree. This FB Oliver is lame. Give me dark and twisty Oliver please.
