That is a very lose definition of what it means to be A-list. A-list has nothing to do with talent nor does it depend solely on an actor's appeal at the box office. Jennifer Aniston, for example, is considered A-list although she can't carry a movie on her own. Jennifer Garner is considered A-list and all she's got going for herself is her marriage to Ben Affleck these days. She hasn't starred in a big movie in years. Likewise, TV actors who are starring in critically acclaimed leading roles on long-running hit shows are considered A-list as well (think the likes of Claire Danes, Jessica Lange, Ellen Pompeo, Jon Hamm or Michael C. Hall when Dexter was still on the air).

Neither DC or Marvel provide guidelines to their writers.  Both companies have characters and universes that span decades, so the “voice” of all the characters is very specific.  In my head — and I don’t think I’m alone among writers in this — the DC characters “sound different’ from the Marvel characters and vice-versa.  The Marvel Universe tends to be a bit more grounded, while the DC Universe is a bit more hopeful.  It’s a very hard thing to describe, but I often think of the DC and Marvel universes like cars:  They each handle differently, from a writing perspective.  I wouldn’t so so far as to say that there are stories I couldn’t tell in the Marvel Universe vs the DCU, but the story would unfold differently and be tonally different depending upon what universe I was writing for.

I was (as always) charmed by SA in his appearance (on Kimmel)  But most interested to hear about the arrows and not being able to actually shoot any.  I had never considered it.  I've heard about the issues with fight scenes (SA has discussed the rush of blood to a fist where you pretend to hit someone but don't follow through) but I never thought about the arrows themselves.  I love hearing the behind the scenes stuff!

I love watching behind the scenes stuff with archers because there's nothing there. There's good stuff with Hawkeye just grabbing for air and Norman Reedus on The Walking Dead said all his crossbow shooting is CG. It has to be hard for the actor to keep form.

I knew about the arrows being CGI. Jennifer Lawrence said the same thing about The Hunger Games. However according to Natalie Dormer, J-Law was up every morning practicing actual archery to keep her form as correct as she could. Stephen may do the same thing. I know Stephen says everyone else is doing it wrong. But I assume like most things people have different ways of shooting arrows, it just depends who taught them how.

SA has said that they have a very good archery consultant for the show and if his form isn't perfect, she really lets him know it.  And he's so damn competitive, he'll want to be perfect.

 

There's a clip on youtube with him shooting real arrows at a target; not too shabby at all.

The reason he wrote that was because an Olicity fan tweeted that as a thank you for MG releasing the deleted kiss scene, everyone should go and buy Overwatch...and the book sold our shortly thereafter.  Release the video or not, fine, whatever, but I'm personally not going to buy your book as a thank you for something that should be included as a deleted scene on the DVDs anyways.

Did anyone read this book?  Based on how MG writes Laurel's lawyer scenes on Arrow, I'd be kind of scared to read Overwatch since the main character is a CIA lawyer.

It may be unfair to judge solely on social media but from what the cast posts it seems like David Ramsey, Stephen Amell, Colton Haynes and EBR are close. I just don't see a lot of photos of Katie Cassidy with other cast members being posted (Paul Blackthorne posts some of her and himself tho). It would have been great for her to even be seen at Amell's Nocking Point party as well.

Apparently CH posts photos on the set with KC and I know they have hung out together before (CH posted a photo at a tennis match with KC). So they seem to get along.
