quarks November 20, 2015 Share November 20, 2015 More reasons it totally baffles me that they centered the crossover around them. I mean I am truly, truly baffled. We've barely seen one, we've never seen the other, but we're supposed to be concerned about their peril? And yeah, wings, on a CW budget. If they'd been minor characters at most (esp Hawkman, seriously, who cares about him when we haven't even seen him), they could have done quick, comparatively cheap glimpses. I can see it. First, these are three (since Vandal Savage is coming along) of the four Legends characters that didn't get an intro last season on either Flash or Arrow, and they're also played by three relatively unknown actors, unlike the fourth guy, played by a Doctor Who guy with an existing fanbase So, since most of the characters were already introduced elsewhere, it makes sense to introduce these three during a major crossover event instead of trying to introduce them during the pilot. Second, Hawkman and Hawkgirl are relatively big DC characters - not up to Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, of course, and not really up to Flash, either, but fairly solid B characters dating back to the 1940s; prior to Smallville they were probably better known than any version of Oliver Queen. So they probably were seen as characters that would draw viewers into the major crossover event. They've had viewers care about one off characters before this, so it's not impossible. Unfortunately, Hawkman and Hawkgirl are also characters with feathered wings, which in animation terms means lots of lines, which in post production terms means more time. 1 Link to comment

Glad it wasn't Saturday cause I could see them pulling SA to make it an Oliver & The Lance Sisters. Yeah, and DP is back to appearing at the con on both Saturday and Sunday. An Oliver and the Lance sisters panel... Sounds thrilling. Well, whoever may want the experience of imagining the Lance sisters and Oliver being all chummy in a room together can still have that by purchasing the group photo op of SA, CL, and KC, I suppose. 1 Link to comment

Some fans are upset her dad story is taking so long and that you are giving the tech stuff to Curtis when it's known Felicity can build computers and tech herself. I’d like to think that the same fans who are upset that we haven’t introduced Felicity’s father yet would appreciate the fact that we don’t want to rush things just to rush them. That said, you can’t always make everyone happy. All we can do is tell the best stories that we can. I have faith that the vast majority of our audience has faith in us. I can't say that this reply gives me any reassurance about them producing a great worth the wait Dad story for her but for some odd reason it soothed my over all ongoing worries that they'd do something criminally stupid with Felicity. I was pretty much placing blame on Berlanti Productions because of filming schedulinget and the fact that they were still filming 408 scenes not more than 2 weeks ago. Granted those were probably Oliver/Barry not Arrow/Flash (no special effects) it's still a delay.I would assume a big company like WB Studios have enough post production/effects houses under their umbrella to cover all of their TV and Movie ventures. I understand @DancingNancy's POV but this screening shouldn't have come as a shock to anyone working on Flarrow. They did the Flarrow screening last year on the same weekend. quarks November 21, 2015 Share November 21, 2015 Most studios contract CGI and effects shots out to different companies because each company specializes in something slightly different. If IMDB is accurate, Arrow generally works with one group for most static/background/CGI shots (Zoic Studios), and occasionally hires a second studio (GoBlue VFX) for additional effects; Flash appears to be working with the same two different groups, plus an in house person, and brought in a new animator for Firestorm. As far as I can tell, Zoic does things like putting images into windows and creating shots like Felicity and Diggle skydiving to Lian Yu, and GoBlue does more effects/animated stuff like Barry zipping around or the Atom suit going bang, but I could very well be wrong about all of that. 2 Link to comment

I don't want to try and paraphrase because I don't remember enough of the content. Why would they perform stunts during the Lance panel and not the Stunt Panel with Bam Bam? That makes zero sense. The stunt panel includes Bamford, Lotz and Ramsey right? The stunt director plus two actors with a fighting background. So much more sense.
