It was down to The Iron Lady vs Princess Di, and The Iron Lady won.

So, apparently most of the best supporting actresses are all on the same two shows.

But I figured it would be Gillian Anderson.  Between her and Meryl Streep, apparently playing Thatcher is a good way to get a trophy!

Gillian looks great!  I didn’t care for her performance as The Iron Lady.

But not a huge fan of the Diana performance, either.

Both probably difficult to portray.

Well, shit, I was pulling for Michael K. Williams even before his tragic passing.  He was amazing on Lovecraft Country.  But I certainly can't complain about Tobias Menzies winning since he's another actor I really love.

Okay, I was not expecting that!  Happy for Tobias since I've enjoyed him in both Outlander and Game of Thrones, but I really did think it was going to be Michael K. Williams.  And with that, I'm thinking that The Crown is going to have the clean sweep this year.

No.  I’m rolling my eyes whenever The Crown is in a category because I already know they’re going to win.  I knew Michael K. Williams didn’t win when Kerry Washington did that tribute to him.
