"No chemistry like this anywhere else on television"

Is she kidding?  Matt Lauer & Katie Couric, Regis & Kelly,  Willie Geist & Savannah Guthrie, those are just a few from back when she started with Joe.

She's gone to not knowing her value, to over appraising it so much it's ridiculous.

Even people who swear they're huge fans of the show on their Twitter feeds tell them how bad they behave, etc.

It's the concept of the show that is popular, not these two idiots.

The twitter replies to this are ruthless, on her account, Joe's account and InStyle's. Someone surely had to forewarn Mika this topic would be extra-iffy for her to address given she's engaged to her boss. Right? Riiiiight?

Loooooooool. Mika posted the weirdest Instagram photo for Joe's birthday. What is even going on in this? Are they buckling up in a spaceship? What about any part of this makes her think "this, this is the photo I will post on social media!"

I loved the "under her tutelage, women won't let this happen again".

What in the fucking fuck is going on??!!?  Under Mika's tutelage, women will start hooking up with their married bosses, running all over the country with them, and eventually getting their dream job because they slept their way into it?

This morning Know Your Value (could she have chosen a worse name?) posted another video about advocating for equal pay through Mika's example. Joe retweeted it. I read some of the replies. I'd guess over 80% of them say "have an affair and then get engaged to your boss" or something similar, another chunk saying "be born into an establishment family" and the rest just bashing her. I still can't believe she is re-releasing on this topic after going public and getting engaged. Everyone saw these responses coming. She's going to have to address it eventually. It's so weird she willingly walked up to this.

It's because she has her head so far up her ass she doesn't notice people* think she's an idiot.

*other women

"Know Your Value" really means "Know that you can be a prick tease and use sex to get what you want and if any one calls you out on it, they're just jealous because you're engaged to Joe "Where Did My Eyes Go" Scarborough.

Speaking of Joe's eyes, did he get botox or crowtox or what the hell is going on?

Yeah I added my two cents.

Can no one pull her aside and say "you need to knock this shit off. What you did is done, we can't go back but you have got to stop acting like you got your job from hard work. You got your job because Joe was hot for you. He's admitted it. Everyone knows it. "

Good lord woman have you no shame??!

Should Scarborough and Mika publicly apologize for their role in helping Trump get elected?

Until they do, I suspect they will never be taken seriously as commentators on Trump's presidency.

I just read Scarborough's latest column in the Washington Post:

Trump's miserable crew has never been so desperate

I find that no matter how vehement Scarborough's rhetoric may be, the comments following his pieces always come back to this: "You helped get him elected."

Sample response:

Quote

Why do I read articles critical of Trump by Jen Rubin, whom I -- and masses judging by the comments -- once strongly disagreed with, but I refuse to read articles by Caffeine Joe?

Because Rubin NEVER supported Trump, but Joe not only wrote Post Op Eds supporting Trump, Joe wrote columns attacking critics of Trump. Now that he has inflicted Trump on US, Joe is seeking protective cover, seeking to hide the fact that he is to blame. Never forget! Never forgive!

It's late but probably not too late for those two to do a mea culpa and get on with their lives.

But I would guess they are both too arrogant to ever be honest about the part they played.  Instead they twist themselves into knots trying to revise history and inventing confrontational moments when they supposedly confronted Trump with hard questions.

I would think life would be a whole lot easier if they could put that all behind them.   Wondering: People have been speculating recently that everything isn't rosy between Scarborough and Mika.   Might it be their shared guilt, which they have to confront and deny almost every day (if only to themselves and each other), that is eating away at their happiness?

Lolololol. I'm watching the Comey ABC interview and I totally forgot Mika's ex-husband is on the 7 Eyewitness News crew until there he was on my TV screen! Given how much she loves Joe's poof I'm really surprised her first husband is, for all intents and purposes, bald.

I fully believe they fully believe they had no role in this.

Another random thought: I'm surprised Joe was fine with Mika posting that video of him sleeping on their ride home. He seems super image conscious. She once said he'd be mad at her if she went on Facebook Live without make up.

He is very well respected in TV News as far as I know. He grew up very poor & was nearly homeless had to help his mom out who had bi polar disorder. In Mika's first book, she writes very many nice things about him. He was a good dad who put Mika's career over his own. He took time off work to help raise their kids. Mika admitted that she wasn't good at dealing with her kids when they were younger. She dropped Carlie down the stairs when she was 8 months. Luckily, Carlie survived.

Mika's first book , "All Good Things at Once" is a very good book for fans of Morning Joe to read.

April 4, is the 11th anniversary of Don Imus's racist comments about the female NCAA Rutgers University basketball team. He or someone he was interviewing called them "Nappy Headed Hos". The network cancelled the show, & Joe was given a chance to promote his morning talk show concept.

The show was cancelled quickly & MSNBC decided to look for  new hosts for a morning show.

They briefly had Stephanie Miller fill in for the days immediately following Imus's firing.  I had never heard of her before and really enjoyed the show (I distinctly remember her snarking about "pitting out" in her bright emerald green shirt on national TV the first day).  I listen to her radio show pretty much every day.  She would be a good addition to MSNBC but maybe not in the morning as she is very liberal.  A better fit for either an evening show (looking at Hard Ball) or a weekend gig.

I fully believe they now fully believe their obsequious, constant putting him on the air exposed him to the American public. They tell themselves they were helping NOT getting him elected by letting him talk freely. This is their revisionist history.

Morally enfeebled enablers?

I assume he's including himself and Mika in that category.  What a load of crap.
What in God's name is going on at Washington Post? Why does Marty Baron allow him to write op eds?

I don't think that Joe Scarborough should be writing opinion articles for the Wahington Post until he & Mika apologize for their involvement in the Trump campaign.

The comment sections are useful because it shows how little confidence people have in Joe's opinions.

Joe can rebrand himself as a True Conservative Anti Trump hero , but he has no credibility based on what he did in 2015-2017.

Mika's getting reamed on Twitter for her response to Michelle Wolf's monologue last night. I think everyone involved is being too cute by half, and Mika has now Tweeted herself right into an uncomfortable corner.

It's clear Mika took offense, not at the "smoky eyeliner" comment, but at the comparison of Sarah Huckabee Sanders to Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid's Tale. Aunt Lydia is fat, frumpy, scowling, and utterly mendacious, so the comparison is apt. But if Mika digs in and tries to clarify, she will end up having to insult Ann Dowd, the talented actress who plays Aunt Lydia.

You're right, Mika can't go anywhere with this. Aunt Lydia is the female disciplinarian character who enforces patriarchal anti-feminist fascism despite being a woman. So, where's the lie? #IDK

They're all taking it in the shorts today (Meeks, Ruhle, Mitchell and Haberman).  I'm all for girl power but this had nothing to do with Sarah's gender.  What Michelle said was true (perhaps cruelly put but it's the WHCD).  I've never heard any of them come to Spicer's defense when he was endlessly mocked for that ill fitting suit he had to quickly don because Trump was having a meltdown about inauguration crowds nor have I heard much of a defense for the beatings Christie takes for his weight.  WH Press Secretary is the big leagues and sometimes they throw at your head.  Last night was a double header with extra innings.  Welcome to the majors Sarah.

I think a lot of us remember this news conference. Between this incident and the photos above of Mika appearing to wholeheartedly enjoy Trump's "pornographic" hugs, well, I guess Mr Hoffer is a reporter and the ex-Mrs Hoffer is not.

Quote

Hoffer wanted to know why the state had distributed only $4 million of $300 million in federal funds from a program called Hardest Hit. Christie said a moratorium on foreclosures slowed the program (though days he later clarified that the once-troubled program has now given out $40 million).

“I’m not sure that really rings true,” Hoffer shouted.

His voice rising before a crowd gathered for a school groundbreaking, Christie said, “If you don’t think it rings true, it’s not a question.”

In the brief back-and-forth, Christie told Hoffer to get his facts straight. “Listen, do me a favor, don’t show up once in every blue moon and think you’re going to dominate my press conference,” he said before moving on.

In the end, the reporter seemed to have gotten what he wanted. The Auditor overheard Hoffer whisper to a Christie aide, “He misplayed it, didn’t he?”

Piggy or Hobs . . . help?

Lol I meant Mika's housekeeper is the one who probably leaves the cleaning supplies out. She seems to be in charge of Mika's zoo too, there was a Live with her telling Mika how and why she put that one chicken with a mohawk in quarantine, and there was another Live of her cleaning in the background while Mika was talking about something particularly dumb.

NBC staffers felt pressured to sign letter defending Brokaw

Quote

One NBC News staffer said, “We felt forced to sign the letter supporting Brokaw. We had no choice, particularly the lower level staffers. The letter was being handed around the office and the unspoken threat was that if your name was not on it, there would be some repercussion down the road. Execs are watching to see who signed and who didn’t. This was all about coming out in force to protect NBC’s golden boy; the network’s reputation is tied to Brokaw . . . If more women come forward, that’s a big problem.”

This is totally off topic but for any one interested:  If JoMika want to have a riveting, interesting segment that doesn't involve bashing Donald Trump, how about booking Patton Oswalt to discuss Michelle McNamara's (his late wife) book "I'll Be Gone In The Dark" about her search for the Golden State Killer.

The book was published Feb 28 2018. Police announced last week they have a suspect in custody, after 30 years, and think they have their man. Michelle died April 21, 2016.

Seriously any fans of true crime drama or just great writing, check out her book. I have had cold chills and constant tears in my eyes thinking about her.

ETA: I have about 100 pages to go.  I have made sure my patio doors are double locked every night since I started reading. This book has been called "a masterpiece" and "this generation's In Cold Blood".  That is the understatement of the year.

I would think Mika would be interested in the fact a woman wrote a book that helped solve this, the man was the most prolific serial killer in California's history, and known to have raped at least 50 women.

The My Favorite Murder girls had Patton and the two men that helped finish the book on their podcast in early April, it was at a book signing. It's a great listen.  They knew Michelle personally due to their interest in murders, and her interest in solving them.

They talked about how at book signings about serial killer books, the cops have the authors sit up against a wall so they can photograph the crowd clearly, as sometimes the murderer attends them. The Green River Killer did.

So everyone is scanning the pics in Michelle's book, of the town hall meetings to see if D'Angelo is in the crowd.

Looks like Guiliani blew this out of the water last night with that batshit interview on Hannity.

Emmett Flood is probably rethinking joining this cluster fuck.

Watching Giuliani and Trump is like watching two old people that escaped from the home and are joyriding around in the bus that takes them to the grocery store once a week.  Time to pry the keys out of their hands, sorry grandpa.

It's my understanding that Flood is a warrior and would love to rip into this case but he has to be thinking yeah not so much with this guy after the last 24 hours.

Here's a big dose of Mika's ditz act. I guess #1 closing the slider and feeding piggy outside and/or #2 feeding Hobs in the enclosure would make it too easy.

Has Mika been watching Green Acres? Is Lisa Douglas/Eva Gabor her spirit animal?

Alex Witt does a WTF at 3:10 that is dang funny.
