I’m liking this off camera scoop.  Of course , the show is not going to show any of that they have to keep us in suspense.  I’m believing her.

Yeah, she's not the one stabbing Juliana in the heart. Grant did that with his words and deeds, even after Litia told him not to give her all those assurances if he might change his mind in the end.

Oh, damn. He is not saying a word! That was like a 5-minute straight soliloquy about how he led her astray. He said stuff like this to all of the women all along. Remember the Rose and “thinking of you while I was dancing on stage” debacle? “I deserve someone who will wake up and know he’s choosing me.” That was a devastating blow. ABC might put The Bachelorette back on the schedule for that alone.

Yeah. Poor Juliana having to watch this season and now this further takedown by Letia.   Of course, who knows if they are engaged.  Maybe Grant got really cold feet and dumped Juliana too.

I hope he came clean with her and gave her a heads up before tonight. Hearing about all of this for the first time at ATFR would suck.

This is giving me Mesnick vibes in terms of Jason being conflicted because Melissa was “good on paper” and had the qualities that he thought would make a good wife and mother, but Molly was sexy and fun and had the playful vibes of a best friend. I see that with Grant and his final two. He’s been so focused on his traumatic childhood, that I can see why he told Litia she would make a perfect wife and mother because that’s what she wants in her life. But Juliana has the sexy, fun, best friend vibes. I think he made the right choice for himself.

The studio audience's reaction when Litia came out of the car first speaks volumes. 

She is justified in her hurt and anger and had every right to speak up because he did lead her on. It'd be different if he didn't tell her he loved her 100 times up to and through the very end. The f#ck?! Stop telling her you love her! Those words lose all meaning coming from him by that point. 

"When did it change?" - about a half hour ago.

"I hope you don't view me any differently" - the audacity of man. 

Bottom line, Litia was too real for him. Good luck to Grant and Julianna, for when the "fun" fades so will their relationship.

I thought it was interesting how quickly Litia’s sweet little girl voice changed to angry woman! Honestly I only believed half of what she said - she’s trying to cover her embarrassment of being #2. I think she oversold her wanting to a MOM quickly as she thought that is what Grant wanted. I think she looked good on paper but Juliana and Grant shared some baggage that made them bond tightly. I hope they last.

I don't understand doubting Litia's credibility when she said it all to Grant's face and he denied nothing. He looked like he was about to burst into tears because everything she was saying was true.

I, too, noticed how unhappy Grant's sister looked during the Juliana reveal. I wonder what the tea is there because I saw that she even follows Litia on social media, but not Juliana.

I don't know. I think Grant did lead her on. How much of it was intentional, as opposed to indecision, I can't say. But Letia played along too. She swears up and down that Grant told her she was the ONE since the second day (or date)? Yet she performed for the cameras during the Final 2 that it was scary to know that Grant might not choose her. That's something of an oxymoron, right? She had NO DOUBT that she was the ONE, or so she claims.

I think Grant is a huge people pleaser.  He gets caught up in the moment and says what he thinks people need to hear.  He told Juliana he loved her so that she would say it back.  It's transactional with him.  Litia has a strong personality and was very driven--she was on the show to marry and have kids, and she could give Grant a FAMILY (however Mormon and super white) that he longed for.  He went along because in the moment that was what she wanted and it sounded good to him.  Grant barely knows what he wants or what motivates him--he was whatever he needed to be in any given moment to keep the woman happy.  So I believe Litia, but that doesn't mean I thought she came off squeaky clean or likeable in the end.

And another thing about Letia being a Mormon, how would that work exactly? Would Grant convert to Mormonism? Mormons can't marry outside their faith. I have an LDS friend, and I couldn't even attend his son's wedding because as a non-Mormon I wasn't allowed to set foot inside the Temple.

It's very telling that we never saw them discuss that.  I wonder if they did off-camera.

When Grant's dad was talking about being from Canarsie (Brooklyn) and knowing Italian families, it made me realize Grant might have more in common culturally with east-coast, ethnic Juliana.

Some faiths you can do that.  Some you can’t and would be actively be shunned if you weren’t all in  It was my understanding that Mormonism was strict about the rules.  You have to follow the rules, period.  But her family did seem tolerant if Grant didn’t follow them as long as he had faith.  They didn’t discuss, though, how the kids would be raised.  .

I actually liked Litia all along, and I was initially inclined to feel terrible for her when Grant dumped her.  But, the instant he did, she immediately started coming out with all kinds of sarcastic little comments, and there didn't seem to be any emotion present except for anger.  Yes, I totally understand that Grant pretty much led her on, and I'm certainly not giving him a pass for that.  Likewise, she has every right to be pissed at him, but I know if it had been me in her place, I would have been hysterically sobbing at first, and the anger would come later.  Even in the car, she barely squeezed out one little tear, and nowhere did she really seem upset at losing him.  She just seemed pissed that a monkey wrench had been thrown into her breeding timetable!

I know we're all different, and I'm sure it's extremely weird to have to do all this with cameras in your face, but again, she didn't seem to be hurt at all.  Rather, it was like the mask suddenly fell off and everything changed about her!  Personally, if someone I loved dumped me, I'd be devastated, and I'd be an emotional mess.  If I really loved him, I'd be thinking that I couldn't go on without him, I would do anything to get him to take me back etc.  Ok, so maybe I'm just needy and pathetic, and I won't argue, but I guarantee that I'd be blubbering away.  Instead, she was a very cool customer.  Her entire demeanor changed, and she became icy cold.

Like I said, I'm not saying she's wrong to feel anger, but I still think that the hurt and pain and loss should have been the immediate emotions.  There was none of that!  The anger should have taken a back seat, ready to come out as soon as her friends and family commiserated with the whole, "You're too good for him...you're so much better off without him...I never trusted him anyway..." speeches.  

In an instant, her face changed.  Her voice changed.  It made me think that I'd been played by her all along, and she was way more calculating than I'd ever thought.  She's 31, her timetable is set in stone, and she wants to start cranking out those kids now, dammit!  She's chosen her sperm donor, and how dare Grant mess up those plans!  Again, I get that it sucks to be rejected on TV, but if she had just had a little emotional breakdown before immediately lapsing into pithy little snide comments, I'd be much more inclined to believe and/or pity her.

As for Juliana, I'm sure she's a lovely woman, but I just don't see any real chemistry between them.  I'm also distracted by her shiny eyebrows and the fact that she's about a half inch away from a unibrow.  Enough with the spider lashes, too.  In real life, I'm hoping that she can be a tad less made-up and more natural, although that's just my personal preference, and God knows she doesn't have to answer to me.  On a side note though, my husband even commented on the lashes etc. and he's not exactly the most observant of men! But, that being said, he somehow did manage to notice the half-second shot of her jumping off the boat in her itty-bitty bikini!

Grant's sister sat there with a miserable look on her face the entire night, and I never saw her with anything other than a scowl.  Maybe she wanted to head off to the BIP beach and was mad because Jesse didn't offer up an invitation?

I feel like she was in shock which may be why she didn’t have an immediate reaction of anger or sobbing. Only she knows. 
Her reaction/lack of reaction in the limo was unusual.

The more I think about it, the more I think he may have been really scared to disappoint Litia, while there was none of that difficulty with Juliana.  He was more worried that she wouldn't want him.  And we all saw the consequences of disappointing Litia!

Another Black contestant on the Bachelor franchise picks a white person. How shocking! This is exactly why myself and most of the Black people I know were never hyped about this show having Black contestants. I don’t think Grant and Julia ever had any serious difficult conversations; conversations that are a must when getting into this type of interracial relationship in particular. 

That being said Grant gives me total fuckboi anxious avoidant attachment vibes. It’s all fun and games now but I’ll be surprised if he actually marries Julianna. Honestly, I think she’ll dump him when he passively aggressively checks out on the relationship and forces her hand. 

Like he lives in Houston! He’s still single because he wants to be.

I am thrilled to know that Bachelor in Paradise will include the Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants 😀🙌! They have just as much of a right to be on that beach as the younger ones do. Bring it on, Bachelor in Paradise 🌊⛵🥭🐬
