Who possibly thought Suleman was a good idea?

My guess would have been that the octomom TV docuseries would be on Hulu but is actually premiering this month on Lifetime. Lifetime is affiliated with A&E TV, which, according to Wikipedia, is jointly owned by Hearst Corporation and Disney, so there appears to be an ABC affiliation there somewhere.

So everybody was commenting how good Whoopi looked in her Oscar dress, and Anna was teasing her about who knew that Whoopi had a waist? And Whoopi said you’re just not paying attention and then Anna said who can see your waist under those three layers of clothing that you always wear, and when we were FINALLY about to get an explanation, Brian cut immediately to commercial! Did anybody else think that was funny?

I thought it was nauseating and a whole lot of baloney! Does that count?

Blissfool, I agree with you but I guess I should’ve qualified. Not funny ha ha but funny unusual, funny conspiratorial, funny they don’t want us to know how much they cater to Whoopi, funny let’s not dig up that box of worms, etc.

Funny as in "Ozempic is not a sponsor of our show?"

J/k, ofc...I wish I could afford ozempic 😕

Sara was right. 😱 I heard another good point about why the Dems should absolutely show up tonight. If the only people there are clapping and cheering the cameras will only be showing that, and that’s what the viewing audience will see. People need to see a protest from the Dems. FTR I will not be watching.

Stephen Smith isn’t completely wrong but I feel that it wasn’t so much people running from what the Dems were saying as too many hurting people fell for the lies and misinformation. They were grasping at straws that turned out to be just an illusion. Dems should have been better at messaging what the plan was for kitchen table issues.

Stephen A. Smith has good points occasionally, but it's that 5 or 10% that he says that spoils the lot for me. For example, saying Democrats didn't stand for the working class despite things like Biden being the first president to join with a union on strike, or Kamala campaigning on giving some amount of money to help people buying their first home, or how during Biden's State of the Union (coincidentally since they mentioned Biden's SotU this morning, lol) he tied Republicans down to supporting Social Security by spotlighting their desire for cuts. So while it's true that Trump has a mandate, Smith's being false by saying Democrats didn't align themselves with the working class, imo. They did, it's just that it didn't matter because the winds had shifted. The same with him claiming Biden and Kamala were for open borders. Thankfully Sunny confronted him on the craziest thing he said the last time he visited, as far as calling Trump "normal." And, Good Lord, he sounded full-blown crazy in that clip Alyssa played with all the shouting in an empty room.

I was hoping they would talk about the meeting with Zelensky again since Joy wasn't there on Monday. I notice there was a key detail they left out of the duscussion; I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned by Sunny if nobody else.

Also, I forgot to say thst Bruce Vilanch on Monday was a delight.

Yes they do need to do better but it's not just them. It's voters.  Trump's base will believe whatever he says.  And unfortunately a lot of voters not part of his base believed what he said.  Republicans get rewarded for lying and Democrats get punished for telling the truth.   Trump said he could lower prices on day one. Didn't happen. He said he would end two wars on day one. Didn't happen.  Harris said what she would do and didn't give a specific timeline because she knew politics doesn't work like that. And voters chose to believe the lies.

I don't believe he has a mandate.  He didn't get a majority of the vote. He got 49.8% of the vote.  Of course Trump lies and says he got the most ever and blah blah blah.  in 2024 Trump received 77,284,118 compared to Biden's take of 81,284,666 votes in 2020.

so another week when whoopi hogs the stage even more than usual. ugh.

Whoopi and the Department of Education, "educating" on us that maybe this change is a good thing...maybe now WE can have a say in what our kids are learning.  WHOOPI!  This started YEARS ago...school boards were gradually taken over by people who were unhappy with the education...but they wanted (and still want) to bring RELIGION into our schools.  Only Christian teachings.  Only fundamental Christian teachings.  Political leaders sought out candidates to run for school board offices with plan to move up and into city/county/state offices.  Or, has Whoopi never heard of this?

Did Mindy do something to her lips? They look a little puffy.

I haven't seen her lips yet, but I did notice how great (OZEMPIC) she looked at the Academy Awards ... just as The Ladies of the View commented on Whoopi's "waist" recently.  Did we forget she attributed a weight loss to ...was it...Wegovy?

LASTLY.  I continue to be embarrassed for Sunny.  Whoopi will never like her.  Sunny doesn't really like Whoopi, but she NEEDS Whoopi to like her!  The sucking up and icky compliments are cringeworthy.  The end.

Mindy, and Whoopi, look good, primarily due to those drugs. Good for them, at least for now. I don't know if those who lose weight will need to use them on an ongoing basis.  It did seem to me that Mindy may have been dabbling in more cosmetic updates beyond the weight loss, though. She should be careful, and look at some other celebrities as cautionary examples (Meg Ryan, Demi Moore, Renee Zellweger, Jennifer Gray, etc.) before she goes too far down that path. There may be tons of cosmetic surgeons in LA, but they aren't all dedicated to the subtle changes that make someone look indefinably younger, but not strange looking.

Definitely agree with the 1st three but have you seen ‘A Royal Pain’? Jennifer Grey was in that movie and she was looking GOOD!

So I haven't watched season 3 of the White Lotus, but the fact that they made the Trump voter from Austin is very "tell me you've never been to Texas without telling me you've never been to Texas".

You're doing Mike White a disservice. A more nuanced take on the three friends sub-plot is the other two friends assumed she was not a Trump supporter because she indeed lived in Austin, a blue stronghold. Hence their surprise. What their conversation later uncovered was that the Texas resident lived on the outskirts of Austin. Big diff.

Since the speech the other night I’ve changed my stance on how Dems should have reacted. I’d said they should be there but seeing them holding up ineffective signs was a bad look. It made them look passive aggressive. Not sure Al Green’s outburst helped but at least he showed some life. Maybe leaving half of the chamber empty would have made a better point. I’m astounded that 10 Dems voted for censure. Again that just screams passive aggressiveness and powerlessness.

I got to skip Octomom because of a phone call. (Daughter discovered asbestos in their house. Eek!)

The fact that 10 of them voted for censure tells me they have no chance of getting the electorate on their side. If it had been the other way around not one Repuglican would have voted against their own side. If there's one thing they do it's all sing from the same hymn sheet, while the dems are off singing whatever is in their heads at that moment in time. I've said it before but that's one thing that draws people to them, they all have the same talking points & are always on message, even if it's a shit message.

Hope everything works out for your daughter @Haleth.

I saw an interview with a DEM who said he voted for censure to be fair.  He had also voted to censure the REP who yelled out, "You lie!" to Obama.

Bad lip gloss job by whoever her makeup artist was.

I agree...but I've been seeing that weird "raised" upper lip (via lipstick) on a few celebrities lately.  Maybe they're convinced it looks like a true lip line.  IT DOES NOT.

If this is accurate, then this person is being consistent in opposing disturbances during the SOTU (or SOTU-equivalent) speech. We should applaud people who have standards and stick to them regardless of who misbehaves.

I couldn't bring myself to watch on Friday, did Octomom say anything worth listening to?  I admit I do wonder how those kids are doing.

She explained why the media got it wrong re: IVF. She also discussed how she wound up with multiple implantations. She's been doing a lot appearances on shows like Extra, TMZ, etc. And of course her own show debuts on Lifetime Monday.

Jennifer Grey looks good, but still unrecognizable. It is strange, but without her original nose, her face seems pretty, but not memorable.

Jennifer Grey looked good with her original face and nose too, with more character. I agree, she was not memorable with a generic face.

It wasn't until halfway through a 2-part  Law & Order that I realized that the judge was being played by Sharon Stone after one of her generic blonde lady procedures. Her voice made me sense a familiarity, but I couldn't place it. Her original face looked lived in.

What's up with Sara?  She's getting very interruptive and argumentative.  She's not a happy girl.   She does, however, seem to be very cuddly with Whoopi.

I think she always sounds like she’s on the verge of crying… when she has the floor, she talks so fast, like she’s worried about being cut off…

and she is always hugging on Whoopi
