i don't see why, when Alyssa says she likes some things Trump is doing, they don't ask her specifically which things. I'd really like to know.

I love Adam. On Idol he always seemed kind, as well as extraordinarily talented. I’m so happy he’s having such a successful career. The MC in Cabaret is a great role for him.

We saw him twice , he was fabulous,  and sexy. That voice of his with Queen, out of this world. The seats didn't  cost too much. I've loved him since AI. On FB reels  he said he'd come home from school,  dress up, and sing show tunes. I'm sorry  I missed  him today,

Joy completely misunderstood what Carville said. He said Dem politicians should stand back and let people speak out, do nothing to get in the way of protesters.  He was not telling people in general to do nothing. Her anger is making her jump without listening.

I've heard Sunny refer to herself as a woman of color several times. I can't see Sunny identifying as white.

Her ironic comment about losing on Jeopardy was because Sunny is a very highly educated person. And one whose ego cd not believe she didn't do better.

I hate to say this, but Sunny is (deleted upon request). She lost because she wasn't as smart as she continues to believe she is. And Sunny, there's no such thing as "white Jeopardy". That's as stupid as claiming there's a black Jeopardy.

That was the first time I'd seen that clip of Kamala with the man who refused to shake her hand. Vile.

She plays up the ultra-competitiveness just as she does the jealous lover stuff. Al Franken dusted her butt on the Celebrity Jeopardy episode and Ana ended up beating her too. Her pride probably does remain a little bruised from being the last place loser, but I doubt she's really seething to this day.

Ana and Sunny are both very smart. Almost everyone who ends up on the mainline Jeopardy is intelligent, but only one person can win every show.

If memory serves me correctly, I think she was also complaining about how she couldn’t get the hang of the buzzer. I’ve heard other people say that also. So Jeopardy is not only being smart, but also having the manual dexterity to hit the buzzer just right.

Exactly, and even if you're an ace with the button you may lose out on getting to answer first by a split second.

I've just been watching the episodes where they had brought in past players for a tournament of champions.  Every player had won their place there by having won multiple times in the past and yet, of course, only one person could win this time.

Saying someone who lost Jeopardy isn't as smart as they think they are is a misplaced criticism IMO.

I don’t know if you saw the SNL show but that was a joke. That was the clip they showed of a maga guy suggesting they have a white Jeopardy to which the host of black Jeopardy replied “don’t need it.”

I guess I misunderstood too and I’m not alone. A YouTuber that was recommended here while MeAgain was still on took it that way also. I find myself taping then not watching it or only watching half.

In general, some very smart people don't win on Jeopardy. It can be for a combination of reasons - one (or more) categories that the contestant isn't comfortable with (for me, if would be anything math related), pressing the buzzer before the host finishes reading the answer (this locks you out for a few extra seconds, I've heard), and not being good with the wagers. I can see where someone might feel that not winning is a reflection on their intelligence. Back in the 70s, I think, Robert Klein did a funny riff on losing on Celebrity Jeopardy.

Loved Joy's skepticism that Alyssa thinks the problem was Biden not dropping out sooner instead of the problem being that Biden shouldn't have given in to the criticism of people like George Clooney.

So that everyone has the same chance to buzz in. If you buzz in during the question, you could beat out the other contestants who wait for the end of the answer. They even tell them to wait till the host stops reading before buzzing in.

From what I've read, the contestants don't wait for the clue to end.  Instead, they are told to watch for a light to come on.  The light comes on at the end of the clue, of course.  They can anticipate the millisecond Ken will end the clue, but yes, they may get locked out if the light hasn't come on.

That doesn't really make sense though. Everyone would still "have a chance" if you could buzz during the clue, snd contestants who buzzed early would have the risk of thinking they know the answer only for the end of the clue to hint at somethig different than they initially thought.

It does make sense if the Jeopardy producers want the home audience to hear the whole clue.

In the olden days, contestants used to ring in when the clue was revealed and based just on the category. There were a lot of wrong answers and thus generally disturbed the pace and watchability of the game.
