She lied about the black eye, she even accused the Bravo filming crew for being responsible, and still supports Jenn Shah. Starting off strong with shocking reveals I never saw coming! (Now there’s video, so maybe it is a green screen?) Oh, no! Another middle of the night secret eye injury on a trip?! Good thing Meredith’s room is bugged with surveillance equipment so the show can get to the bottom of this without firing anyone this time. Oh, fake tags?! Shots fired! Shots fired! A leaky gut insult! Eat some kimchi, Whitney. This man covering his baby’s ears!! Here comes Britani somehow making this about herself again. Well, at least she got Lisa and Whitney to stop. dancingdreamer January 16 Share January 16 This was a strange episode for me. I felt like there was a lot of producer interference, and/ or manipulation. Bronwyn looked like a parrot, in her coat of many feathers. I think Mary sometimes says what I'm thinking, but I truly am fond of her and Angie's friendship. Mary has always been socially awkward, but this season, for me, she has come into her own. I just hope Robert Jr is doing okay. "I reached out to Monica, " their faces were a picture, omg. The dreaded M word. Lisa is always in a snit, 8 Lisa's to keep her happy, snit to follow. Read out something awful, then burn it, Lisa has a snit. There's an awful lot out there about her marriage, it sometimes makes me wonder if it isn't true. However, if they have an arrangement, that's totally up to them. She seems to want to hurt the other women, and Meredith tags along. I really don't consider those two to be the leads in RHSLC. 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556131
ZettaK January 16 Author Share January 16 (edited) Bravo reached new lows. I doubt any of the women thought of this hurtful game. From the preview of the reunion at the end of the episode: Lisa is dating some guy according to Angie. Seth Marks has a side chick (verbatim) in Ohio. Meredith left the stage. Todd didn't buy the $4 million necklace for Bronwyn, it was a loaner according to Lisa who is friends with the jeweler. Lisa's G Wagon was repossessed. John Barlow claimed Bronwyn had a miscarriage, and Todd got angry- we don't know the whole story yet. dmeets January 16 Share January 16 Every time the OGs gasps in horror at a mention of Monica, I just roll my eyes considering they stan for Jenn Shah. Lisa pretty much admitted on WWHL that she intentionally deflected rumors onto Angie to get back at her for not defending her against Whitney earlier on the trip. With fronds like her, who needs enemies? Bronwyn seemed to realize too late that she erred in throwing everyone under the bus to try in vain to get back into Lisa’s good graces. Something tells me Brittani has an actual burn book in her bedroom. Then again maybe she’s not emotionally old enough to make one yet. Who’d have thought Angie and Mary would end up being the friendship goals of this show? 9 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556147

BloggerAloud January 16 Share January 16 I am not a Lisa Barlow fan and at first I was annoyed at her reaction at the dinner but then I sat back and thought about how all the other text messages the women read were limited to their own personal feelings about a person. Whitney used this dinner as a way to get information onto the show about Lisa and her husband which is fundamentally different. I think it sucked that Lisa used that to pivot and say stuff about Angie who was just sitting there, minding her own business. I think Angie's friendship with Mary is very sweet and I like that Mary got up and followed Angie. Also, I thought it was interesting how Meredith clearly used Lisa's freaking out as ground cover to not participate in the exercise. 15 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556230

This was pretty evident when Lisa was zooming in and scrolling side to side to be able to read the text, which was already in the largest front and a zoomed-in photo. Add to the burn book: As a woman of a certain age, Lisa is far too vain to use reading glasses. 3 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556322
Pi237 January 16 Share January 16 I hate when its too obvious that a lot of this is scripted. Ruins the illusion for me. First clue was how Long Heather was allowed to talk without anyone interrupting her. I have to watch these shows with close caption on because they Screech over each other so much. Hurtful game was 100% pre-planned. Everyone tried to add some sugar to their poison which no one does when gossiping. So Fake. except Whitney lol I agree, she used this as a way to get a rumor out about Lisa's marriage, and thats why Lisa lost it (& also just because Lisa Always flips out with Meredith running away close behind her, of course). In real life, the best way to not give these rumors power,is to just laugh them off. I would've laughed if someone said they heard my husband does circle jerks lmao. But getting enraged and holding grudges is their job. So, Angie had to jump on that one even tho it was stupid. Some funny parts-"I have to leave the tag on because I'm returning it tomorrow " "Your gut is leaking, take a probiotic" Angie trying not to laugh when Britney stormed off. Then, Britney saying, "thank you for coming to talk to me" aka bringing the cameras over. She's Sahara thirsty, that one. Meredith," I feel like we got the horses that represent our personalities" Horse farts. Brownwyn's Technicolor feather coat was ridiculous & Fabulous. I'd love to wear it. The pineapple bra tho, pass. I can't stand when someone uses past trauma as an excuse to be mean in the present. Mary's a selfish narcissistic regardless of her awful parents and son's struggles. Shes crafty and grown enough to know right from wrong. No one needs 'family' who manipulates you like that. Run, Angie! But before you go, please explain how Mary changed your life so dramatically that it brings tears, begging and requires total mob-like loyalty to her. That was weird. Maybe I'm slow, but they flash those updates way too fast at the end. 12 3 2 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556335
Straycat80 January 16 Share January 16 I don’t watch The View very often but for some reason today I did. The reading mean texts was a subject and they showed Bronwyn’s clip. njbchlover January 16 Share January 16 Well, that was a lot to absorb!! First, I agree with everyone that the "read it, burn it and move on" game was totally producer driven. These women, including Heather, would NEVER want to reveal what they actually think and feel about the other women in the cast. I'm also sure that there are or have been other texts in their phones that go way nastier than what was revealed. Seriously - Lisa screamed on camera about Meredith sleeping with (not the words she used) half of New York and she has no problem calling Whitney all kinds of names on camera - you think she doesn't have really nasty text messages on her phone? I don't think we got to see/hear Lisa's "burn text" (or Meredith's for that matter), but I'm curious to know what they were. Whitney is a perfect "reality" cast member. She's good at manipulating a situation to make her appear caring and empathetic while she's actually stabbing a dagger into someone's back. She's a nasty piece of work, wrapped up in a pretty face and a pseudo-caring persona. Whitney completely manipulated that game to drop that supposed bombshell on Lisa. All the while, we are just supposed to forget and move on from the fact that she has been in touch with Monica, who so offended all of them last season, including Whitney. I can't stand Lisa, and don't know or care if there is any truth at all to what Whitney said, but that was a final low blow that didn't need to be put out there after so many other low blows from Whitney to Lisa. And, why would random woman just offer up herself for a threesome with Whitney and her husband and then offer up this little tidbit of info about Lisa and her husband? Seems very suspicious to me, and something that, again, can't be proven. And, can someone please, please, please give Whitney some speech therapy and teach her how to pronounce words correctly? "Hilling" = healing - Fillings = feelings, etc. etc. When she was talking about feelings, I actually had to think about it, as I though she was discussing dental work. 3 2 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556411

She said she couldn't remember anything about Meredith's text. I'm annoyed that those two were cut for time, when we could have done without Friend Of's "I'd rather have tea with Bronwyn than Mary." And Friend Of's fifteenth 'storm off and wait for the producers to prod someone to go check on her' scene While it was funny for a second, I felt bad for the waiter at Heather's suck up to Lisa luncheon when the whole table kept repeating "I loooove thaaaaat" while the poor guy was just trying to get their order and get the hell out of there. 8 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/151442-s5e16-burn-books-revisited-season-finale/#findComment-8556421
Marley January 16 Share January 16 (edited) I don't know I found the ending overly produced. I know these shows are not straight reality but Heather's speech at the end seemed to be trying to capture the magic of last season's big reveal. I found it cringey lol.
