These insta dances are tough! Even with the issues some of them are having, they're still doing far better than I could ever hope to do. 

So happy for Chandler with her perfect 30. And Ilona's dance was a lot of fun, too.

I’m not sure anyone including Chandler is going to do well on the insta dance. Nice concept to see how they learned the basic steps but this cast is not as technically awesome as some past stars to accomplish perfection.

Oh I agree with you! I'm just trying to be a bit lenient given that this is insta-dance and they didn't get much time to work on/polish it like they normally would

Many people don't like voting for the ringer because they are so good and feel that the others don't have a chance, so many times they will not win but it HAS happened a few times! At least we get to see some good dancing, yeah?

Still nervous for Chandler she seems to hit the "not necessarily" bottom a lot I think it's three times now.  Her luck may run out next week but man I love watching her dance. Tonight she was so fierce. Once she goes I'm out because the rest of these contestants aren't learning

Aw, sad to see Dwight go, he and Dani were so fun together. But I'm glad he got to go out on a good night overall - even with the shaky insta dance, he still clearly had a good time. 

Going to continue to get even tougher now, 'cause I've enjoyed all the remaining couples' dances this season thus far.

Dwight always had a good attitude.  Likeable guy, fun to watch.  And Daniella had a lot more to do as a pro than Brandon.  He never got that far when he had to work with someone who had no professional dance experience.

I have to hand it to Alan with the lifts…the professional women dancers are extremely lean and have the core strength and knowledge to assist with lifts. Plus they are far shorter than Ilona. Ilona has been vocal that she is 5’10” and weighs 200#. He’s done an amazing job working with Ilona as a dance partner. Ilona has worked hard too but none of this is natural for her. 
 

I don’t need to see Ilona lift Alan again. We get it.

Such an odd take that Dani had so much more to do. Clearly she had to be creative in working with a tall guy but he didn't retain steps so she had to give lots of lifts. He is not Iman, we noticed that about week 3.
 

But Brandon has a lot of pressure to take his celebrity as far as he can. He's not a popular pro , he wants to get beyond top 8 -so people are scrutinizing every dance. Chandler is obviously not the Olympian or Athlete or Bachelor so she has to do well or be invisible.  My two faves were Chandler and Dwight because they both came out strong. It's too bad he couldn't learn more dance. The rest of this group just don't interest me in the least.

It's so odd not being annoyed by the order in which people are leaving.  I don't remember that ever happening before.

Chandler was fire in that tango.  That's the dance that sticks with me.  I don't like Brandon, although he's improved a lot - his style just doesn't appeal to me.

I wonder why Sharna got to dance in the opening and Anna or Lindsay didn't.  Maybe they were asked and turned it down?  So many former contestants are unrecognizable to me now, but usually I recognize the pros.  I find the fame of the pros one of the funniest aspects of this show.  Especailly against the lack of fame many of the "celebrities" have.

The useless judges only pander to the big fanbases, but it was so satisfying for Chandler to dominate whilst Carrie Ann did her best to sound like she even gave a damm. Some horseshit about women claiming their power? Says the misogynist in chief. Yeah Carrie Ann, Newsflash women actually like each other.

I'm glad that Chandler is still there. I don't care if she's a ringer. I watch for the dancing and she's miles ahead of everybody else. I wish they had a five person finale like last year. That way, I know she made it. I mostly want to see their freestyle. I'll be happy that Brandon finally has a chance to do one if that's the case. People are saying that his choreography is boring. Len would have loved it. He is teaching proper ballroom technique.

Joey is my second favorite since his technique is decent. Everybody else has improved but there's a bunch of stomping going around. I'm glad Dwight is gone since he was the worse one left.

If they're not doing a five person final, I hope Danny is the next one to go. He's a very handsome man but he's really only excellent at lifts. He and Witney did some amazing ones but this show is about dance.

Personality wise, I do like everybody left. As I mentioned, I mostly want to see Chandler/Brandon's freestyle. I don't really care who wins although I do hope it's them.

It was Dwight's time to go. Last week. Lovely man, not a great dancer. He didn't really do much in the AT but hold, lift and spin Daniella. Their Paso wasn't actually half bad, considering. But he cannot help hunching over when they are together and that's probably something he'd never be able to overcome given the height difference. 

The idea of an Insta Dance isn't terrible but having them pick out and change into costumes live was dumb and completely unnecessary.

Joey had decent hip action in his and Jenna's Insta Rumba but Jenna seemed to be doing a completely different dance.

Danny did pretty well in the Insta Jive, decent synchro. Between the two I think Joey is slightly better. There are moments where Danny gets a bit stiff and comes to a complete stop. 

Stephen did OK in the Viennese Waltz but his steps were pretty basic and Rylee was really out-dancing him. The Insta Jive was kind of a mess and the kicks were way out of sync.

Ilona's Quick Step was tons of fun but the Insta Salsa was a disaster. Alan has got to stop with all the lifts, they are ungainly and ruin the whole number. She doesn't need them! Stop it!

We all know Chandler is the designated winner, ho-hum. Another Disney kid with professional dance training. She was already a pro on Week 1. Even the Instant Cha Cha was perfect, although to my eyes it was not a recognizable Cha Cha. The music didn't really suit that dance style.

All my votes go to underdogs Ilona and Stephen but I predict Joey and Danny will be the final three along with Chandler who will obviously win. 

I can't watch this live anymore with so few celebs left, there's too much filler and yapping.

I have such a crush on Danny, and it's weird because he's so not my type. But I find myself rooting for him and hoping he stays despite the fact that I believe he peaked during Dedication Night. I think it helps that he and Whitney have crazy insane chemistry, too.

Please, no five person final. There are only two good people, Chandler and Joey. Let them be the F2 and pick one of the other three stompers as the third person. I don't really care. 

Joey has the best pro as well. Where are Maks, Derek, Cheryl and Karina when you need them?

I think Joey is miles better than Danny.  Partly a body shape bias maybe, but Danny is just so stiff through his core.  Joey is an absolute delight to watch, but Danny makes me want to get on stage and adjust his body lines physically (despite the fact that I know nothing).

I think Steven or Ilona should go next.  Steven is really terrible and I haven't seen a whole lot of improvement and Ilona is better (when not doing awkward lifts).  Alan has got to let her dance and stop with the daft lifts.

This! For me lovely technique is the most entertaining thing to watch. I assess to the standard not against each other. I remember Len saying he would judge that way.  Chandler has been exceeding the standard and she is getting solid training.
 

Sincerely if the show would judge to the standard  the scores would not be this close. I think they don't do it because the delicate male ego wouldn't be able to handle it, much less their fans.
 

Ilona at least knows she's not dancing to the standard and I applaud her for realistically assessing her skills. Her fans obviously don't agree.

Woulda' been funny if they "picked out" costumes for different dances. How about a Viennese Waltz with her in a Samba dress while he wears a silky, half-open rhumba shirt?

I am one of the ones who won't vote for the ringer (usually), but Chandler and Brandon were fantastic! That was one of the best AT ever in my opinion. And not only was it Chandler's best dance, I think it was Brandon's as well. It was the only "remake" of the night that lived up to or exceeded the original.

As much as I love Ilona, that was not a ten, especially compared to Jordan and Lindsey. Entertaining and good, but not that level. But I do think she was underscored last week (and good for them for calling it out) so this just feels like an overcorrection. 

I thought Mark did a great job coaching Stephen - his tips improved him noticeably. I wonder how much better he would be with a more experienced pro?

I am glad they stopped giving Danny a tongue bath and scored him appropriately. He is ok, not as good as Joey and Chandler.

I don't like the instant dance. Most were just retreads of dances they already did and it makes them so stressed. I would rather have them do an actual second dance they rehearsed if they need the show so long.

I am fine with Dwight going - he was better than I thought he would be and has a lovely personality, but this feels like the correct person at this point.

I do love that Chandler had mildly lower scores one week, and people were complaining she was being treated sooooo unfairly. That girl has gotten tongue baths almost every single week. However, I think that's happened these last few weeks because they're trying to keep her in the competition. I think this is the third time she's been in the fake bottom three. I don't know if she's been in the real bottom two any of those times, but I think they keep putting her there to scare her fans into voting more.

I hope they don't do instant dances again. I get the concept behind it, but most of the dances just felt like the same retreads you see when they do the dance-offs. It was clear most of the pros did not consider it a fun challenge.

This is pretty much the semi-final results I expected. I'm glad they're not doing a five-person finale. I hated it when they did that. I'd much prefer it if they went back to the three-person finale formula.
