She seems so sweet on this and Top Chef! 2 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8672186

I'm now officially annoyed by Jonathan Sawyer. His sobriety is a tremendous accomplishment and It's wonderful that he feels that he is his best self now. I also think it's very cool that he's using his winnings to start a foundation dedicated to helping other chefs. That being said, I don't need to hear about how many months he's been sober and that he is his best self now and he couldn't have done any of this previously multiple times per episode on every single FN show he's on -- and he's been on all of them this past year. Dude won't get off my TV. With Sawyer's win, maybe the "Redemption Tour" will end now and he can stop being on every FN competition show talking about sobriety. As Sophia said on the Golden Girls "You sure know how to beat a metaphor to death." The editors clearly telecast who was going to be in the finale early on so this season was very predictable and those gimmicky last minute switches (no heat, not making a lumberjack breakfast, etc.) just seemed cruel since it seemed preordained who was making it to the end. Unless you have blind judging all the way from start to finish, this show will become like other cooking competition shows that come off as "scripted." 10 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8672474

This show is a high stress situation that afforded the chefs little to no rest for 24 straight hours. Nini comes off much better on TOC and Last Bite Hotel, IMHO. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8672676

buttersister May 27 Share May 27 Really? FN didn’t tell him anything previously? Makes me think that was a last-minute decision to entice him back to one of their competitive shows. Or to mollify the many disappointed viewers. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8672962
TexasTiffany May 28 Share May 28 I have to add my disappointment that Bryan didn't win. I already had respect for him being a stand up guy, but love him even more now. I wish he had picked the scallops, too, but he stuck with the chicken because he was testing himself to see if he could win with it. It did look delicious. The crispy fried turnip peels were such a clever idea. I also liked that Graham mentioned that Bryan honors the whole product no matter if it was chicken or the lowly turnip. Lots of respect from Antonia as well. I haven't seen this mentioned yet. Jonathan was wearing a bandage on his left arm. It looked like he got cut at some point but I don't remember the edit showing us what happened or even mentioning it. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8673185

It never happened so I'm wondering what she did that made you feel that way. I enjoyed the show because it was more lighthearted than most of these cooking competitions and everyone seemed to get along well. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8673325

BluBarbi98 May 31 Share May 31 Count me in the number of fans who wished that the tastings were blind. I also realized early in the season that the final 2 would be Jonathan and Bryan so the finale line-up was not a surprise. I'm disappointed that Bryan didn't win but knew the chicken wouldn't beat lamb. I really wish that the producers wouldn't have twists and turns during the finale. I also agree that there need to be some longer challenges to get an understanding of their skills. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/146040-24-in-24-last-chef-standing-general-discussion/page/6/#findComment-8675242
