Why does it "need to be said"? That's her mother not her.

FWIW, Miss Faithful was raised by both her parents in postwar England which can't have been entirely easy for Mrs. Faithfull  especially due to at least some tension if not open hostility towards her due to 'the neighbors' considering her to be a foreigner hailing from an enemy land so soon after the War (regardless of her having been anti-NAZI). Moreover, she and her mother were both collateral descendants of this author and made no secret of it.

Still her parents & not her so I don't think it needs to be said when saying that she had passed away or for anything she had done or not done.

We'll have to agree to disagree on it having to be said.

I was just thinking abt him earlier due to the plane crash in DC.

Was there ever a better skating sportscaster?  A legend in two fields.

Thank you for the memories.  RIP

I thought about Dick Button too. Everything I know about figure skating, I learned from watching and listening to him. #Legend.

R.I.P. Mr. Button.

Mega-producer Irv Gotti dead.

Quote

Rising to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Gotti, born Irving Domingo Lorenzo Jr., played a key role in hip-hop and R&B records of the time, working with artists like Ja Rule, Ashanti and DMX, each of whom saw massive commercial success. His signature production style blended hip-hop beats with melodic hooks and influenced a wave of rap and R&B crossover hits that were inescapable from 2001 to 2004. Among them: several multi-platinum smashes with Ja Rule and Jennifer Lopez, including “Always On Time,” “I’m Real” and “Ain’t It Funny,” and Ashanti’s “Foolish,” “Rain on Me” and “Mesmerize.”

OK, I'm curious but does anyone know if the late Mr. Howard's given name was originally spelled K-e-v-y-n by his parents at birth or did he later alter it from Kevin so as not to share the same name as another performer in ACTRA? Prof Wiki and his cousin IMDB make no mention either way.

She really was lovely as Cindy Lou.

RIP, Ms. James.

I just found out about her death last week!

Loved the scene in Carmen Jones where, after singing My Joe/He Got His Self Another Woman on her knees, she slowly and gracefully rose herself up, leaving him behind once and for all.

Rest well, lovely.
